Interesting little video. PC version I presume? How much does it cost for a subscription? I'm interested in trying it out, if my Visa will work.

yes, pc. its 13 american dollars a month, disincluding the purchase of the game itself (about 40 american dollars, you can probably get it cheaper though because ive seen many stores sell it for less.) this is the cost of a play online id and a charater. any editional charaters made, square will cost you another dollar.
if you want, i have a friend thats from england i believe, i could ask if he could help you out.
(Sorry, but you will have to do the translating part = P)

Yes, the cost is a little steep for this game, but you get alot of pluses -- no lag on the servers, awesome graphics and gameplay, quick GM response, no tolerance for harrassment, reliable servers...
If youget on, PFY, I demand you come to my Server! I'll buy you the world pass in an instant! Does the help of a Level 60 White Mage sound happy when you need it? >:3

Hahah, well, if a PC version ever comes out over here, I'll be sure to join in. The european one will most likely be on the XBox 360, so hopefully, I can server hop to you, Grae, or red, if it's not pricey to hop between servers. My PC can handle Rose at a reletively high resolution, so I should be able to take FF11 pretty easily, ^^;
I hope it accepts my card. What did you use to make that vid, red? I tend to use 'fraps' for when I'm making vids in Rose.

Dude, it won't work. You're locked to one server when you create your character, you enter a World Pass, which is a number code obtained from a friend, at the character creation to enter a specific server, otherwise, you're randomly assigned one, no server-hopping in FFXI.

You're locked to one server when you create your character, you enter a World Pass, which is a number code obtained from a friend, at the character creation to enter a specific server, otherwise, you're randomly assigned one, no server-hopping in FFXI. actually there is somthing. its called migrating i believe. this is done once in awhile though - your server is pretty much perminent unless you request from square or square requests from you. to make the movie, i used fraps, microsoft paint, and windows movie maker. |

you can only switch servers at very random times and you have no choice as to which ones to go to. Once you go there, you're stuck unless another migration happens. Point is once you leave a server, you're not getting back on it.
There is a European PC version... It came out in April on the Ps2 and PC in Europe, or was it last August? only reason I wouldn't wait for the X-Box 360 version is because the only thing enhancd is resolution and clipping range -- they're havig problems with the Ps2, saying they might not be able to support it forever as it potentially limits PC players. They may cut it's functionlity which is why I'd trust only the PC at this point.
You will join my server! The only thing it costs me is maybe 2,500gil. And then I can be a hefty help, hehe... You too, Rage. When you can play this game, I'll do the same.
By the way, yes, Visa works. It's how I pay for it.

I'll give each person who joins my server 50,000Gil to start off with, saying they'd want it. I know how dificult it was for me to start off, so... That and one lucky winner gets a Gold World Pass.

Once you get to my level, that hope becomes pretty true -- and 50,000Gil starts to mean nothing. I just bought an 11,000,000Gil Noble's Tunic and 6,000,000Gil Blessed Trousers before I went on my last trip (last tim I played) so once you start doing BCNMs, HNMs, ENMs, and craft, money starts to become less of an object than it does in the levels from 1-50.
