I have been through lots and lots of classes, book, sites, and they've all taught me that the attraction to another one of the opposite gender is just to get them together. For those of you who do not think this might be appropriate for you, please leave now...but I guess it isn't too innapropriate.
I've seen the subject of love pop up on a site (howstuffworks.com, how love worked) and a book on dreams and how we would do certain things in a dream because of how differently we react there...but it all leads to one thing.
If we're attracted to each other through hormones, liquids, and instinct, if we took that away from a person, they would love no one anymore because of who they are, that doesn't exist...
What do you think? Does loving a person mean your body is attracted to them, or is it truly your consciousness?

you know I think it's both, I mean think about yoshiken and anjil, possibly the liquids kicked in and then they started thinking nice thoughts about each other. in other words, yes, love does exist.

You have a point.I guess love does exist. .But I don't really want to fall in love.Because I will lose my true love.......

I think love can be seperated from physical attraction. You can love a person and not feel sexually attracted to them, and vice versa.
I'm not quite sure what love itself is. People definitely have a physical attraction toward each other due to hormones and such, but there's a deeper emotional connection that seems almost seperate.
I'm somewhat cynical when it comes to love but I'm sure it exists on a deep level. I think the word "love" is thrown around too casually though.

Yes, I'm not sure if that 'deeper' part exists, I'm really puzzled as to what the definition is.

I don't know if it's even a good thing either. It's what happens to everyone but... *sigh* would it just make life harder? I'm actually...kinda being succumbed by it . I'm starting to worry, the feeling of attraction is stronger than I expected, even though I knew it would come, but I never thought it would hit me so hard... Should I resist?

Back on topic, what does everybody think? Is there a deeper love?

If it was just your body you would love everyone of the opposite gender equaly, conscious has a big part to it. If I recall correctly everyone has a different amount of hormones, so a person with a greater amount of pheromones will attract more people of the opposite gender, and so forth... But then again things like developmental behaviour also affects attraction. It's generally believed that most people are attracted to mates who resemble their parents/guardians and have similar personalities. Traumatic experiences may also affect a person's ability to choose a mate. For example it's generally believed that girls who grow up with a negative father figure in their life will date abusive men. This obviously doesn't apply to all girls but I can see how this is true in many circumstances. There's a lot of factors that determine a person's attraction. I think physical, biological, and psychological traits all play a part.

Good point...if it was just your body, you would be attracted to anyone.
And a good part of it is the other person's body for some reason.
Look up on how stuff works, they've got an article there on love and some links to 'love tests' which were conducted. These included that the tests would:
1. Be shown several pictures, and be tested which one he was attracted to. The subject always picked a deformed version of himself, although he did not know it.
2. Although odd, three subjects would smell the shirts of a selection and they would always pick the one with the most different immune system.
3. Two total strangers were put in a room together, for a few hours if I remember. At the end of the test, they turned out to be in love with each other, and a few of the tests actually married each other later on.
So yes, a LOT apparently has to do with body TYPE.
This throws off a lot of series of picking anyone...

You'd pick the people you like based on those factors, surely?

Not at all personally...at least not conciously. How am I supposed to know what immune system they have!?

You don't, you'd interpret the signals as "She's hot" or something, I guess.

I guess people would interpret the signals as that...that or they want attention.
