Just this second realised I hadn't started the IRC server up so I apologise. It's up again now.
Edit for 18th December: New modem/router for Birthday =D. Network will undergo some changes, so chat room will be unavailable for the day. Will edit once it's up again.

As of the time of this post, the chat server has gone online. You are free to connect. However, at this moment in time, you must use an IRC client such as mIRC, or XChat.
Server you need to connect to is:
pinkfloydyoshi.com
The room is called #yc, as it was before. I shall work on getting the site up and running tommorow.

It's up now. For who have mIRC or any client that regstered IRC as a protocol You can click here to go to the chat room. If you're not sure, you can click the link and see will it errors, if it opens a program and connect to the server, that means you have that program. Again, do you want my bot in the name of ummm..... opening the code... yeah, see it! Bot name is [Bot]~YoshisCornerTell me if you want me to put that bot up and start monitoring Yoshi's Corner. It will talk in the room when someone posted in the YC.

You can stick it in if you wish. I don't mind it. Site has just gone live for those that used it before. Enjoy. Same as before, pinkfloydyoshi.comAnd it's down again. "No route to host" while trying to connect to localhost? RedHat is the devil.

IRC server back up without services(setting up for different configuration as every address on the network is changed every night (DHCP with a day long lease)). Working on getting Web server up again so people can connect through the site. You'd think RedHat Enterprise would be reliable because it was designed to be used as an enterprise solution, however, after that, no.

The server hosting the IRC server is having issues connecting to the network. They will be fixed within the hour, hopefully. May I just take this moment to say that the web server which connects you to the room from your browser is also being problematic. If you wish to connect to the server and room, download mIRC, install, and click here. This will be the only method to connect until I've done the faffing neccasary with the completely custom version of Apache Gentoo seems to have for some reason. (I'm used to setting up the needed files on standard installs of Apache. It's quite different in Gentoo.)

See if this link helps out. gentoo-wiki.com/Index:Apache2Edit: Well, that's lovely. You can't have ":" in your url?

See if this link helps out. gentoo-wiki.com/Index:Apache2Edit: Well, that's lovely. You can't have ":" in your url? Technical garbHeh, I managed to get Apache up. I'm yet to set php up though. I've been messing with network config for a while though since I can't tell the router to make the IP for a certain system on the network stick, since DHCP's on, and the router won't let machines lease the same IP forever. There's no way to bind IP to MAC either unlike in Software DHCP servers or the old Linksys BEFSR41 routers. If I set the IP static on the Gentoo box, it can't connect to the net, even though I've given it the "routes_eth0" line with the value "default gw 192.168.1.1", which I presume is right. I'm guessing it's because it can't resolve DNS queries since the Gentoo documentation didn't specify to enter any DNS information. Doing an ifconfig after setting up for DHCP, it shows it's using a DNS server. Is there a way to specify a DNS server in /etc/conf.d/net? I didn't see any way to add one in net.example either. :S StateGoing up and down regularly while I sort connection problems out. At the end of every day, the IP's on all machines change so I have to make changes to a few files each time it changes, else the server gets upset and boots everyone off the IRC server because it's angry at me for not changing the files in time. :S

No sadly, personal experience with that router (it's the one I had with my parents before I moved out), has tought me that. I think you can specify DNS servers, but not in the net script, I think. It said something in the handbook about it somewhere.
