On my Rose clan's site, I noticed a thread called 'banned XBox 360 commercial'. This was banned as it promoted violence, however, I don't see it as violence, after watching it twice now, I've just laughed at it.
Gotta admit, The XBox team certainly know what to do to get players interested.

Yupyup - it's a pity they can spoil great things with actions like "we're going to send 300 000 units of X360-es for the European debut, huzzah!". Now, I believe every videogame console and software retailer / dealer who isn't located in The UK, France, Germany, etc. (so the most known European countries) lusts for Bill Gates' blood. Rawr D:

Violent? They... they call that violent? Dude, that is pretty weak! XD If anyone has Cox Digital Cable, or something that at least gets you "The N" (The one with shows like Degrassi, Moesha, Daria, Clueless, South of Nowhere, ect.) There's a commercial airing on there that just screams "made by a vore" in my mind. (And if you don't know what a vore is, good." Anyway, you have two kids on a frozen lake. A shark pops up under the boy and eats him, with blood spewing out. The shark goes underwater and you see the water turn red. Then the announcer guy says to watch the N and blah blah blah. Right after that, a polar bear comes, picks up the girl, and eats her, again blood is shown. Then a reindeer comes down, stabs the bear with it's antlers, and then flys off with the bear on them, and more blood being shown. In comparrison, I'd say that is more violent then adults yelling "BANG!" XDDDD Just my opinion though. And that commercial PFY is hilarious, and freaky. XD

Oh, yes, I remember seeing this over Thanksgiving break. I liked it, I wouldn't have thought that it would cause any problems. Kids do it all the time, except they also add the "I shot you!" "No ya didn't!" factor.
HA! if they did publish that comerical, it would prove that xbox 360 is all about the shooter games. i cracked up at that though! thats awsome! imagine everyone in a superfresh doing that
What you're saying is strange. In France, it's very rare to see violent ads on television, except when it's in order to prevent people of the damage due to the abuse of alcohol while driving, etc ...
And, this ad is funny, we french people think that american's ads are more violent than ours (I bet it's an american one, isn't it ?) ... it's the reason why I don't understand why such a "funny" (especially when you see the passage with the taxi driver and the boy who's about to fire his gun...you know it's just for fun) ad has been banned
