I don't know. I think if given time to think about it, my cowardice would get in the way... but given a spur-of-the-moment thing, I actually might... hard to consider, really...

If it was for the ones that I loved I would surely do that. In fact, if they needed anything at all I would most definetly make that move. It all depends on how much you feel toward someone, and how much you are willing to give for them. I suppose it has to do with how you feel toward things on the level of love. If you adore someone, and feel everything in your heart for them, then at times one can give everything. I understand what you mean though Graedius by the fact that at the moment it might be hard to comprehend if it were just a moment action. Who knows what could happen if someone did aim a gun and ended the life of a loved one.
Would you wish you could have stood in front of that bullet, yes you would have somewhere in your heart. That's why there are choices and decisons. You never know what you are going to do, because you only have a few seconds to think. Who knows what an outcome could be like, but one is going to happen because we all have reactions. You could run, fight back, or jump in front of the coming bullet. What you do, you can never do again. To answer the question though, yes; I think we all would somehow say yes to this question with one factor. When the one second moment comes... what would you do?

If I had to protect someone I really love then I would throw myself right away, I'm actually not afraid of death anymore, since it's just something that has to come. Everyone dies now and then. Also, if you have a love for someone and you really feel it, you're gonna act naturally. Love can really make you do desicions...

id much rather pull both of us out of the way of the bullet but if it was impossible to do it, I would gladly give my life for the ones i loved knowing that i have lived my life to the fullest and have no regrets.

Well I don't see why not? I mean if I loved the person, why wouldn't I take my life for them? That's what love really is, putting someone else ahead of yourself, of course, if possible, I would try to save the person and live at the same time, but regardless, I'd rather die and save the one I love rather than live in grief and regret, besides, either way I'll go to heaven, what would Earth matter to me? XD

If it was someone that I really cared about, I would probably do it. I would try to dodge both of us away from the bullet first, but if one of us had to be shot, I would probably be the one who would be going anyways.

I have no idea, maybe I would jump over the person shooting and try to stop... but jump front of the bullet to save someone I love... it's hard to think...

i would do it for anyone. the fear? missing the bullet, and having the person injured.
just because you get shot dosent mean you necesarilly die.

Good point, Red.
Heck i would man!! there are a bunch of people that i care for now!! so i would say it would be worth it (the pain from taking the bullet would not though!) but for the sake of the life that you may care too much for I can definitally take one for the team!!

I would. I really don't fear death actually. I'm a Christian, so I know where I'll go when I die.

It's times like these I'm glad I live in a country where guns are illegal. I'd take a bullet to the shoulder to save someone's life. Solid bone and not very likely to be fatal. If you can save someone's life without dying yourself you shouldn't have to think about it.

Would I? Yes. Think about it though... How could you live with yourself if you hadn't done it? Also, why not do it to save a normal person you pass on the street? At least if you died, you'd die knowing you saved someone else from death, which is possibly the best feeling you could ever feel.
It's on my life's "To-Do" list. Save someone's life, by whatever means neccasary. I remember when my dad pulled someone from a burning car. I wonder how that felt.

just because you are a Christian doesnt get you into heaven. you have to be a moral and righteous person. If you are a Christian and use drugs all over the place, do ya think he will want you with him?

...Well, I'm guessing if you're religious and adamant about it, you're likely to say yes to the jumping knowing you'll go to a better place...
...Also if it's someone you love to the core, of course you'll jump.
But also, how would that person feel about having a loved one save them, and then having to live without them?
As Lazoshi stated, "What gun? Range? Ammo?" Well a gun would determine whether the person may take an immediate second shot, potentially killing both of you. Range would determine the accuracy of the shot, and possibly some deal of power. Ammo... you'd both die if the guy had a machine gun, despite pulling off any 'bugs bunnies' types of jumps.
If the situation was an instant killing, automatic gun, I would sure as heck dive and beg that my loved one did the same, even if I blocked it would be futile... a sacrifice is worthless if you see the person you sacrificed for fall before you and dying knowing you failed.
If it's a one shot- one kill, but one shot a load, I dive for the assaulter and hope the other person runs or dives with, knowing one of us might make it. If it's too much range, I'll do the jump.
If the assailant is using an uzi, I jump the other way.
