w00t! Sounds like this is really taking off! n_n I'd be more than happy to help, although with little RPG knowledge, (except for Pokemon((but I doubt that counts! n_n*)), Super Mario RPG, and a little bit of Golden Sun) I don't know how I could help. But I do know how to sprite. In fact, I enjoy it quite alot. I can put together animations alright-ish, I put one up in the Yoshi Journal somewhere...anyways, here it is again;

Well, like I said prior, I'll be basically doing the whole RPG-creation aspect, mainly that... the plot, graphics, ideas, and such will all come to me and I'll just glue it together into what we call a game.
For reference, I'll show you what a World Character sprite set looks liek and what a Battle Character Set looks like:
NOTE THAT ON ALL OF THESE, in game, they're about 2x as big. Battle and Overworld.
Normal Overworld (Example):
Each on of the different characters is a full walking set.
Note that they are animated, and the frames go in the order of 1-2-3-2-1-2-3-2-repeat infinitely.
Battle Set (Example):
Same thing goes here, the animations go 1-2-3-2-1-2-3-2-repeat infinitely. Like, in a back and forth motion over the frames. I'll post a battle character set Template, so it makes more sense... Note that battle character sets can exist over multiple of these, so you can have more poses... notice how on this one there's no attacking pose? That's on another set for the same character.
Unused Template:
As I said before, mutiple sets can be used for the same character, which almost always has to be done to allow for the minimum amount of poses for a full battle set.
Also, be aware that these sets have to be 265-color .bmps or .pngs... so it's best to make them in 256 million color mode, and then when finished, downgrade.
Doesn't alter the color settings hardly at all.
Now, don;t anyone start deciding to do anything yet... first we need to establish who our PC characters will be... I'd say no more than 8.
Really, Koshizu, if you could do this, then the rest would be a peice of cake; The sprites are really the only thing holding us down at the moment!
I was thinking somewhere in the game I'd engineer a 2 on 2 battle with You and me on the same team, Koshizu... ( I could do it, I have PKMN sprite sets!)
Oh, and I forgot... there's a FACE GRAPHIC set as well, to show the characters faces... I think I could handle that, however.

I'm not trying to press anything on anbody... especially you, Koshizu. If you CAN do it, great. If you can't it's understandable.
I'd prefer no more than 2 worlds, but the sky's the limit.
I don't really know, yet... Like I said before, I'd really like to keep it at one or two major locales (worlds).
We'll have to figure this out as our other more important problems are first solved.
I was thinking along the lines of Me, Koshizu, AnjilYoshi, Joshi, NightCroshi, TimYoshi, and F-15Yoshi (Or his alternate persona)... other than that, we may be breaking graphical limits. It's really based on whomever takes the terrible task of making the sprites, really. But oh, what a wonderful sight it would be to behold if such sprites can be made... more glorious than anything else I've ever made, I'll assure you.
I was thinking along the lines that our Main character should bo someone totally unique and different, that we've never heard of... some random guy or girl who's gonna be nameable. (And yes, Gender selectable... I'll give the coice, if this is what we do.)
Again, I'd just like us all to be on a vast world, rather than a vast array of worlds.
Surely all of the PC's, and everyone else here who isn't a PC will be a significant NPC, for darn tootin'.
I'll delve more on the plo once some graphics are made. Because they're truly the building blocks as of now.

Well, if you are going by the characters I defined above...
Main character, I don't know... we don't know who this person is, yet.
Me - A Raccoon-sized Onion Sword!
Koshi - Hm, I just see Koshi as some metal claw bearing person...
Anjil - Staff, totally. (In my mind, lol.)
NightCroshi - I really can't say. Knives, daggers, throwing stars?
Joshi - YATE equipment, or all sorts and types.
TimYoshi - I REALLY couldn't say.
Yoshiken - Hm... some really happy bladed weapon of pain.
F-15 - Supposedly going as a Saiyan, so his fists and Ki will serve him well.
Of course, none of this is for certain. I'll leave it up to the people themselves to decide, but I just see AnjilYoshi with a Magical Orby staff... I just do.
As for skills, this is how I perceive it (But how simply I PERCEIVE it.)
Me - If you can't guess, then you really need some pain.
Koshi - I see her as a Yoshi with Psychokinetic powers, really. Don't know why.
AnjilYoshi - I really see you as the White/Protective Magic person, more a lover than a fighter.
NightCroshi - Of course, teleporting moves... as well as quick moves, maybe some Ninja-style in there.
Joshi - Hm... I can't really say.
TimYoshi - Just all around, sort of red Mage-ish without the actual Red Mage spells and such.
F-15 - Ki and Chi blasts like crazy.
Yoshiken - Super Black Mage-ish person, with special fire skills.
Again, it's just how I perceive it. It's all up to the actual people themselves. And when I say "Magic" and "Black" and "White", I'm just using those as descriptors... it might not nessesarily be Magic, or Black, or White, but just Abilities, or Skills, or whatever you may want it to be called (I can call it different for each person.)
And of course, like most RPGs, each character would have a special unique ability that only they can use, depending on who they are.
I'm assuming we would go into that as the plot progresses.
Hardly. I need all questions to be answered and understood, before this project can even be imagined possible.
