This is disturbing... Uh... don't mean to be selfish, but I'd use common sense and kill the friend- as hard as it may be, um, it's not a tough choice.
Which is which? All it says is Yes or No. Yes what?

I wouldn't kill anybody, because there's probably someone else out there killing themself to ruin humanity anyway (i.e. suicide bombers) LEVEL UP ! !

I wouldn't. I wouldn't think that the whole world was going to die if I killed myself or a friend.

Hmm, I've seen a lot of references to Saw, lately... hmm. Well, I guess... I guess it depended on the method of killing yourself. Is it crude and horribly painful? Is it quick, or subtle?

Forget that! Let humanity die, the world's dying anyway. No, I think I'd like to share my last moment of life with my friend ... alive.

I agree with Joshi right there. Humanity as a whole is dying, society as we know it is collapsing. Everything always seems to be deroded. What's the point of going on in a world in which we must thrive off the dirt and grime that slides under the feet on which we stand. A world full of kiss-ups, show offs, attention cravers, fiends, theifs, and murderers. What's the point in wasting such a decison to take away your very life, or to take away the life of someone you care for. Better that we both die together than die apart. Maybe there is something, or someplace that would give us the ability to be together after the pain is over.
Who knows what death itself feels like, thats a question no one will ever answer. Graedius hit the good point of wondering if killing oneself hurt or was quick. But, I suppose in truth just going with the one that you love would be best. No guilt could go on, you wouldn't have to throw away your life or destroy of your beloved. Even in the hopes of saving humanity. Humans can not be saved, we are not divine nor perfect. We have never been everything, nor will we ever be anything.
Every single day, the world slips slick inch by slick inch into its own little personal growing tundra. Taking us right down beside us, for humans do not just destroy themselves. We destroy everything around ourselves, we alter the meaning of both good and evil. We would backstab our dearest friends, take away from what has grown. For, "Good Fruit means a Good Tree, Bad Fruit means a Bad Tree, A Tree is defined only by its fruit." The fruit is the mind, it's full of knowledge and things that should lay unseen. Because of that, I would leave with my friend, to escape the insanity that ensues.

I would not kill either of us because its simply not moral ^_^, I would pray and trust God to the situation.

I wouldn't have the nerve to do either. If this situation was that dire, I would try to think of a solution to make it out. There is nothing on this world that can't be solved by thinking things through

Well, since suicide and homicide are both terrible sins, I'd do neither.

It's not like we're all gonna die one day,so no one will be scrificed*agrees with joshi and contenion* look at the hole in the ozone layer for an example The Ozone Layer is not like a piece of glass, it's not thin and fragile, it's not finite and being ripped apart from chemicals. It's a dynamic and constantly changing feature; the "hole" is a seasonal event. I disagree; I am under the impression that the world is getting better. Industry and technology are what we need. I usually don't do hypotheticals. They have been known to get me in to trouble. For a situation like this, I'll refer to a quote from good 'ol Optimus Prime: "You must die, Primus, so all might live."

It seems like it'd make a good emotionally charged event, but still, I consider you hopelessly morbid for ever posting this poll. I myself would probably just sit there and shiver and everything would go all to hell in a handbasket so to speak....
And in response to what Anjil says, the Mormon church actually believes that wether suicide is a sin or not is situational, and between the suicider and Heavenly Father. ^^; At least, that's what I've been told.
