Ok I don't know if there's another one of these (I tried the search engine and there was no matchup) so lets try this. Here are some RPG stats (I know there are more like dexterity and wisdom, mind, etc, but I'm counting them as luck or magic).
So onto it which RPG stat would you like to specialize in? I vote for speed, since I hate being slow since I don't do anything. Also comment on which other stats would you like to be in.

I said Magic Defense, for two reaons: - The most powerful things in most RPGs are some variety of magical spell... I'd like being able to have protection from the rediculously powerful, astral, unexplainable attacks, since lots of times, they're direct-hit and unavoidable.
- At least in the Final Fantasy series, the same stat that affects Magic Defense also affects the strength of White Magic -- which is of course my utmost concern. Icrease the integrity of your own astral protection -- as well as the many other potential remedies and wards you could use.

Well, tellthetruth, I like to be balanced in all stats, but since I can only vote for one, I picked Attack, 'cuz I like getting the battle over with quickly.

If I were in any RPG, I would be really good for Defense.

Magic Attack here, as well. Simple as speeing up a battle to save time. One would think that would be speed, but a great offense really works!

Speed... if you have the first attack, and with enough speed, more attacks than your opponent, than you basically have the battle. Or at least in my opinion, this is true.

A strong defence rules all. You could become the ultimate anti-melee damage master! Of course, magic would kill you fast......

Attack Power. Killing with the first strike saves the effort of a second.

Defense of course, sometimes you just need to hold your arms up. Besides, you can have your strong foward offense, but you're going to need your lines of defense when the enemy makes the move. Though thats all dependent upon the effect of the factor of your enemy coming back in for a second strike. Depending upon your skills, I would take defense as the first to build up. The higher the defense the more time you have to plan stragedy. I'm no guru in the lines of these things, but I suppose having some sort of effort in stoping higher amounts of damage could help you in the long run from using more and more of your items. That way you could call on health and things like that in the true real dire situations as opposed to using them nearly every time you leave a battle.
Sadly though, it was a hard choice due to the fact attack power also holds its high standards. As LZ said, you could maybe hit your enemy down in one strike if you were good enough. Therefore, you wouldn't have to build up your defense. If you're so incredibly strong you can catch your enemy off-guard, then whats the need of defense for. Though I think building both defense and offense might be the best you could take. Merely because while you can attack your enemy, you never know what plots they might hold against your current position. It's best to be prepared for the most washing of all events. Besides, I hold a love for the bigger weapons, a sword can never be to big, unless we're talking about a certain someone from a certain game.
Speed would be a nice backup of the whole three catagories together, but who needs speed when you can knock an enemy back with your unstopable skills that you can gain. Unless of course it just happens that your enemy thrives in that skill. Then you might be in for a downer and Magic could be necessary. I suppose I can't come to the true choice of which skill I would lean for, so I'll go with Defense. Getting some experince is what one should do, and then lean toward one majorly. Though, that is what everyone does...

magic can come in many ranges, so increasing that could give you all of the other stats indirectly. thats my best ^^.

If you can't get hit you can't get beat. so speed for me
also with you get quicker casting time so you can dole out more damage then more other stats. guerulia warfare is easier when you have higher speed anyway

I'm a defenseman myself. I always believe this... how can you kill an enemy if you do not have the stamina to survive the fight? (Some people always argue back "how can you survive if you dont have the strength to take it down?" Well, here's the fact, you rarely get a defensive person being weak physically) I try to get my defense as high as i possibly can.
The reason why? Withstand harder blows from strong attacks. It's a nice feeling when you can stand up against such a powerful physical blow and not fall over like a wimp when you got hit with a stick or something. (Phantasy Star Online was silly for that XD) Plus, because defense determines the damage you recieve, a strong enemy to a mage (because they intend to lack defense) can be nothing but a pathetically weak enemy for a warrior-type.
