Alright, so now what? I've been asked to do something with the forum I made and I dunno what XD Do you guys think we could make something out of it? This is the topic where you can ask these kinds of questions. ... So ask away.  |

You could just lock everything and keep it for backup incase we ever need to switch forums again.

Maybe you can alter it into a extention. Sort of like a secondary forum section, with a link to there and back. I don't know, perhaps you can find a way to make something with two conjoined forums. ...dumb idea, yeah. I guess the back-up file is the better idea

I think we can trust Lazoshi a lot more. He's not going to crazy on us. This said, I was thinking ideas surrounding another Yoshi forum, but alot more art oriented. I've no idea to be quite honest. Either that, or, I dunno.

We could make it an art forum? XD We can just have everyone who's anyone go to it and post whatever the hell art you want there. Just for the fun of it. Even if you suck. No critiquing. It can be like... a scrap art forum? LEVEL UP ! ! I dunno.

Either keep it as a back up, or maybe change it into a new board altogether, maybe? I can imagine some people wouldn't be coming back after this whole farce, so maybe they'd be more comfortable with a whole new place. You can tell I haven't thought my post through |

You know what I think.
This place is terribly cluttered, has a unsuitable URL etc.
I'd rather use the new one. They are both YC, there's no real difference. One is fresh and one isn't, that's the only thing.
Well, that and the URL thing.

Its a shame proboards doesn't let you transfer posts and whatnot from one board to another, that could help any change move more smoothly...
MAybe getting a bunch of ideas together, then holding a vote on the whole thing.

Forums can be cleared and put into the archive folder, or cleared entirely. The URL to the new forum has even less to do with Yoshi than this URL. The URL isn't too big of a deal either. Also, members have accounts here, and post count does matter to some. On that issue, there are many topics here that mean a lot to a good majority of everyone.
All and all, I think it would just be a major, and uneeded inconvienance to switch.
I think you should either: close down the other boards entirely, keep them for backup, or change them into a different forum.

I have to agree with Pawy on this one. What will transferring give us that a little bit of cleanup can't? Not to mention there's the whole hassle of moving the entire memberbase of one board to another, and there are too many memories here for some to be willing to give it up for a fresh start.
The other forum could easily serve as a whole new forum, affialiated with this one, even?

Heh, if it were to be 'another' YC, there would be no need to transfer anything, unless a particular member wanted a fresh start, it'd be upto them.
And no, there won't be any flooding if I have anything to do with it.

I think that we should fix up this board, and use the other as a backup board. Not that I think that another crisis will happen, but it would be handy, just in case.
