I pick dead flesh from my lips. All the time. It's weird, when I do it I enter this weird state of hightened thought. I become lost in thought way easier when I do it. It's so satisfying, I honestly don't want to stop. TRIPLE BONUS MULTIPLIER ! !Oh wow, I do the same thing. I didn't mention it earlier since it's so... different. I have no idea where I picked up this habit, but I have it. Maybe because I never liked chapstick... I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this. Hahah, I assure you, the surprise is all mine -- I've never found anyone else who does this, hahah. It's true, though -- when not using chapstick, if the skin is really dry and cracky I'll just pick and peel it awa, mainly because it, unlike other flesh it seems, is covered by an easily peelable layer, hahah. I've notived it's easier to do when Chapstick has been applied a few hours earlier and has all soaked in.

I'm a chronic napper in the afternoon, especially right after school. Doing so for several years, and it sucks. I hate being tired. (Oh, but it feels sooo gooood to just doze off right about now... Argh!)

I'm very forgetful, I dunno if that's actually a bad habit, though. Like, for example, last night I woke up at 2 in the morning and just suddenly remembered I had homework. So, as a result, I got about 5 hours of sleep. It wasn't procrastination, either. I just... forgot. :S

I also do the same to my fingers. Meh. Sorry if that's a little creepy or morbid in any way but....it tastes so satisfying!

I crack my knuckles and my toes too much. I stopped for a while, but it seems that I've started again. Looks like we all know who's gonna get arthritis in the future. I crack my neck too much. >>;; I used to bite my nails too- not as much, I like to let them grow out so I can hurt people when I poke them xD I bite my nails, a lot. Tend to go a little too far too. :S Neck cracking has also been a favourite. I used to bite my toenails, but I found my stanley knife, so I'm no longer burdened by the aftertaste. Ugh :S I tend to do the toeclipping thing at around 4am, too. At no other point of the day, does the thought of cutting my toe nails down cross my mind.

Tempest knows this, he's heard it many times before =D Abuse -- biting, picking and peeling. When you bite your nails, you are interfering with their ability to protect your sensitive fingers. What's more, you are inviting infection. Your nails can become infected because the surface is broken or removed. You can also be eating all kinds of nasty things that may be under your nails from things you have touched during the day. If you touch your dog, your car or your school books and then bite your nails, you are ingesting the same kinds of things you would if you licked these objects. Pretty disgusting, huh? In addition, bitten-down nails are not very attractive.
Sorry Pink XD

That's probably why they call them bad habits instead of super-happy-fun-time habits. xD
My brother cracks just about everything he can crack. And it makes such a weird sound when he cracks his elbow, it freaks everyone out. I can't stand it.

I'm quick to anger and socialy awkward. Both traits I picked up from my dad. I do the lip eating thing as well. I don't tend to pay attention for long periods either. Nothing too major though. Although I nearly passed out once because I zoned out. o..o

Sorry Pink XD I know ><'', It's a habit which is hard to rid of, but, on a good note, I've been doing so for that long, the skin's raised over the top of the nail, so it's preventing any infection from getting in, but the skin over the top is annoying, and usually get's picked at. Arg, cannibal. :S

I pick dead flesh from my lips. All the time. It's weird, when I do it I enter this weird state of hightened thought. I become lost in thought way easier when I do it. It's so satisfying, I honestly don't want to stop. TRIPLE BONUS MULTIPLIER ! !... That rendered me speechless for about a good half minute... in a good way though, and here I thought I was the only one. I guess it's safe to say that you and Contention aren't alone in that aspect either, same here especially with the hightened thinking and using my teeth... wow that is so wierd, I honestly thought I was the only one... .... Okay, enough of being shocked, my other habits include using "lol" and "XD" even when I write with my hands. I keep a routine and get insanely frustrated when things get out of order, unless I let them. lol I put my homework off, usually, until 11pm. That lip one is another, still shocked that I'm not the only one. I've gotten into the habit now that I'll eat like I did in Sedona, except at any place now, which is the whole host/hostess eats first, napkin goes on lap, work your way in with the silverwear, ect (It's almost something I do absentmindedly now, it's wierd...) I sharpen my pencil when it barely needs it. I have the bad habit of running out of things to say over the phone... and MSN as well. (I did break my constant smiley usage though!) I still stutter, the main reason I hate talking verbally, though it's not as bad as it once was. I have the really bad habit of leaving a forum, or chat room, for a long period of time, which explains my perodic absences, sorry about that. >_< Keeping a timeline of my video games. Making my dog think I'm the most retarded 16yr old on the planet. Then there's like, you know how in school you'll be asked to write say a two page paper? I'll have no ideas at first, but end up writing like a three and a half page paper, I most always go over the expected limit. And speaking of "over the limit", I tend to make posts that are way too long like this one, so I'll stop writing now. Oh wait! I also crack my nuckles, though I did manage to stop my constant neck cracking and hip popping and knee popping. Also, I tend to be a perfectionist, if something is just a little off, and I know that it can be fixed, I tend to freak out until it is. Also, at the cox homepage, they have lots of news articles. When I go to check my email, if I spot an article that looks interesting just before I lick the "check webmail" button, I just can't log in until I go back and look at the article. I'm a chronic napper in the afternoon, especially right after school. Doing so for several years, and it sucks. I hate being tired. (Oh, but it feels sooo gooood to just doze off right about now... Argh!) You're SO not the only one... But the tempurpedic is too comfortable!

The heightened thinking... I wonder if I experience this. You see, I'll go through odd moments where I'll be staring at something, thinking about random things, and suddenly it'll feel as if I were sort of detached from my vision and can think much clearer. I sort of feel... nice during the time, too. I often don't want to come out of the state.

Exactly, that's just it, isn't it! While you're so lost in the thought it just... feels good. TRIPLE BONUS MULTIPLIER ! ! I guess only a few could know what I mean -- it's just like you'e temporarily, indeed, detached from al the problem, stresses, worries, lost in whatever it is you're thinking of...
