This is actually a very interesting mention here; the fact and matter of names that we all have had in our times around and in that essence. It seems that nearly everyone who comes to this place has had some other alias before arriving at the door. If not, they have changed themselves while here; becoming something either than what the past had scripted them had. As to why we alter, none can really say; it could be from anything having to do with a fresh attitude, diffrent thoughts, and forgotten morals. Usually a persons online face resembles something they want to be; that piece of the soul they are looking for. It's hard to explain it, usually focusing on a part that they are absent without; not fully intact within. Their name represents a part of their personalities and hopes, things that make them tick and move on. At times it may look simple, but behind everything there is a deeper meaning to the holder. What may exist behind those letters we can't always give insight to, but only guess and ask as this thread appraises to do so. With so many features that run around us, simple titles can give more than what is imagined; placing us in a web of our creation, branding all with their might: the symbolism and pressure. Even if it gets differed, motioned to something new as you still strive within this realm; this is not wrong, for at times we can all see something oppisite than what we used to. Reconfiguring ourselves in a fashion, opening up doors that we first saw as incompliable with whom we were.

One goes by Contention, and hopes to keep it stranded upon such for the rest of the time upon this place. However, beforehand there were many changes that kept the name moving on and on. When first arriving online, the title went by something very peculiar "B166ER": This name was focused on one of the main characters from the Animatrix. A robot whom had happened to rebel against his human masters, causing the "Third Rennisance" and breaking into the rights of a new world. Something about mechanical creatures was intriguing, as well as the story behind the face. Because of that, it was plainly chosen for it's meaning and moral; nothing that had to do with personality or conscience. After awhile it slightly moved into a new pair of shoes, they weren't really bigger nor smaller; in fact, the only difference was the addition of "RoboticFiend" after "B166ER". This section only made the image behind the name more clear, to cut off any questions or doubts. Yet, even with something of the likes; it was bound to be reconstructed once more, or at least twice until the final issue would make it's stand. It's interesting it seems, not so many are always happy with their first online name; as if it's something to keep for awhile and then move away from.

Last year, the name itself was known as "Cheshire" or "DarkCheshire"; this was a refrence dating to American Mcgee's Alice. The Macrabe and Morbid tell of Alice and Wonderland through new age eyes. After a bit of movement, things were pushed once more into a new space; such came around the time of when writing enters every "online commuters" life. There was a story out there known as "Physe of Contention" Meaning the soul of war, and something about Contention seemed interesting. It was a name never seen, and diffrent from things; it was chosen out of random and stuck once coming here and of the likes. Not to be moved, and not to be broken.

well actually, I did have an old name for Yoshiken. It was just simply the "Red Dragon" ^^, which explains my AIM name. that was even before this MB tho, and it only lasted for like a month.

When I was a Yoshi here, I was known as Jayshi, though people sometimes call me that, I don't mind really. It's just a combination of my nickname and Yoshi.

I've always been some variant of Lich. I used to go around on a previous previous -previous- board as the Dark Lich, of Secret of Mana fame, but when I entered the Yoshi community, I thought DarkLichYoshi was presenting the wrong image, not to mention a mouthful. I dropped the Dark, kept the Lich, and now I've even written an autobiography for him answering why he's called that. o.O;

I had a few my old name use to be Melons witch everyone still calls me Melons^^ I also was called Link Yoshi for a short time, and Drake, and Sonic:o

I joined a yoshi forum a while back before I had created my Yoshi character so I just quickly thought of a name. The best thing I could think of was "Aurora Yoshi". Shortly after that, I developed my Yoshi's design and switched it to Swift Yoshi.

Mine used to be Yoshi_Djinn, back when I wanted to join this Golden Sun forum...but eventually as Djynn became my online persona/fursona/Yoshisona, I made him my screenname for forums and the like.

When I came to the yoshi community I wanted to keep my Vaporeon persona, so I combined 'Vaporeon' with 'Yoshi' to get 'Vaporshi' and my character design Yeah, Pokemon was the root to all my answers... *nerd*

I used to be Twilight but the whole 'Dark Yoshi whith emo past pwns' thing was really... everywhere and getting old, and it only lasted like 2 days. So I decided on Gem when I returned 5 months later, since it is my name backwards. ^^

Lesse, I started off with YoshiWannabe, or YW for short. That was interesting, because I had so much respect (and still do mind you XD) for yoshi I didn't think I could take on a persona of one, hence YoshiWannabe, hehe. YW stuck a lot amongst friends and it stayed that for a long while.

Then one day, someone new came up to me, and ask my name, of course, YoshiWannabe as a name (in roleplay mind you) sounds rather odd, so we stood there and pondered what my name could be, and lo and behold, for the next 3-4 months, I was Rex Yoshi. I liked it, hehe, 'nuff said, even though some hated it and refused to call me Rex for a while and kept calling me YW XD.

And finally we come to the conclusion, Sky. Although my persona's name is longer than that, I go around with Sky as a name now, for a number of reasons. The most obvious one being my light blue colouring, hehe.
