Sweet mother of Kai, does anyone know where I can find a screenshot of any Super Mario World Chocolate Mountain stages? *falls over* I need a screenshot to work from the background...I have looked high and low for one, but there isn't any around! And...I haven't got that far in my rom to take my own shot...¬_¬*...so I'm begging anyone, please! I am in desperate need...erk...weird request I know, but its kinda important for the picture I'm doing. n__n*

P.S I'm not sure if there was a specific section for this, so I posted it in Yoshi Cafe. I hope thats alright...knowing us, there'll no doubt sprout a really random and off topic conversation anyways...XD

'Fraid I can't help you. My ROM of Mario World is quite unusable. ...although... I should have a couple save states... including one from the end of the game... Do you use ZSNES? ~EDIT~ Well, in the event that you do, I've got a couple of save states bundled up here: www.geocities.com/f1fth/mario_save.zipIt's got one "*96 file select" state, and one "Fully-powered Mario on a blue Yoshi in Star World" state. I can't tell if either works; my game is messed up. Enjoy if you're able. |

Aww, thank you Fifth, but I use Snes9X. That file doesn't work for me...>_< Gah! Its so annoying. I may as well just get to that part of the game myself...so far I'm on Cheese Bridge...eurgh...I hate those levels. Its no wonder I stopped, heh heh....n__n* Thanks for your help anyways, guys. n_n

Snes9X...
would that happen to give the save state Mario.st# by any chance?
(That is, 'Mario' being the ROM name and '#' being the state number)
I've got a couple of those on my 'puter (I think I used to use Snes9x)... If those're the save file format, you could try a pot-shot and see if they'll work...

Thet're still not working....T_T Maybe I'm doing it wrong. But it shouldn't be, because I've done it before and its worked. Grr...how mind numbingly annoying. >____< Eh, I'll just get to that point on my own...I've gotten up to Forest of Illusion 3, so its no problem so much now...thanks for the help anways. n_n Its much appreciated. =]

Well, of course if your ROM name isn't 'Mario', you'd have to change the save states' names...
Ah, never mind.
This always happens whenever I try to help someone with a computer-based issue. It just gets utterly bogged down in blasted technical issues until both parties are thoroughly sick of it.

Hmm, I could allways quickly rip some Choclate stage screen shots if you like.. Any particular level in choco land?

*legasp* My god, you could?? O__o* I just need some where you can see the sky type background, (if you know what I mean...the furthest background) and just some of the mountain-y bits you can climb on...like on the stage, um...with all the torch-rhinos. Anything with the furthest background visible and some moutainy bits in the foreground would be great. n__n

Oh i can do that no problem, thank god you can edit out certain layers.. so i can delete the character sprites so the scenery will just be there! Oh ok, that stage? Alright Np! I'll get to it as soon as i get home.
edit: do you mind if it's in .png or .bmp? since if you save a pic as a jpg, some unwated smudging forms on the picie

And make sure you have the Super Eagle filter on, unlike in the picure above. |
