Well, this is a yoshi board so I figure some people like the dinosaurs and such. Just, you know, to spark up some more conversations. Yay conversations.
Eotyrannus man. Awesome dinosaur. People think it's the link between raptors and tyrannosaurids; which are my two favorite dinosaur groups. It's name also means 'dawn tyrant', which is awesome. It was also beter designed for hunting than normal tyrannosaurids, for instead of tiny short arms, it had long raptor like arms beter for hunting. It is also known as Kittysaurus. Wow.
That and Eotyrannus is awesome, but unknown.
Which is awesome.

I feel unoriginal.
My favorite, based on the fronds and neat body structure, is the Eotyrannus. A close second is the Utahraptor.
Hey, I should make a character based on these things.

I'm not going for originality points here, but I think my favorite is the Allosaurus. Mr. T. Rex was too popular, and that it was already like one, but they're smaller, so they can maneuver between trees better.

It's all about the Veloco Raptor. Small, agile, swift, tactical, efficient.
If only an army was comprised of them.

Spinosaurus! Fairly recently discovered, and to the world's knowledge, the largest land predator ever to walk the earth.

Archaeopteryx if that counts as a dinosaur. It had feathers and it's hard to spell so that makes it awesome.

I'm gonna go common and say it's a close call between either a Triceratops or a Stegosaurus.
Though the best one of them all...
Doyouthinkhesawus?... Sorry, I couldn't resist.

After doing a little research, I pick Microraptors, if only because the idea of a flying member of the raptor family is just one of the silliest things I can think of, while simultaneously being several kinds of awesome.

Deinonychus. Like a raptor, but with a hard-to-spell name.

I'm gonna have to second Teh Yoshi up there and say that my favorite's been Allosaurus for a while now.
I also like the ancient giant crocodiles but those don't count, I think.

Aw people already stated my favorites! Mine would definitely be Microraptor as a first place, with a close tie of Triceratops and Stegosaurus for second. I have a little stone fetish of Stegosaurus, I'm looking to get a complete collection of all of my favorites.Double-scoop ice cream I love Archaeopteryx, Dimetrodon, and Spinosaurus, too, but who could rival the cuteness of a Microraptor? Seriously? www.luisrey.ndtilda.co.uk/jpegs/256col/microcorrect1.jpg

Ack, I've had so many favorites growing up! I noticed I tend to like the dinosaurs with some sort of crazy feature, like Dilophosaurus (the crest), Carnotaurus (the horns), Baryonyx (that claw), Lambeosaurus (the crest), and Stygymoloch (the dome and horns). But my current favorite is Cryolophosaurus! I LOVE that unique crest. And it was the first carnivore to be discovered in Antarctica! That's pretty cool. ... No pun intended

And it was the first carnivore to be discovered in Antarctica! That's pretty cool. ... No pun intended Reading through this topic I just realised I've forgotten pretty much all the knowledge of dinosaurs I held at some previous point. Even that the velociraptors in Jurrasic Park were more similar to Deinonychus then an actual raptor, but who needs facts in movies?

I know how that feels.
I got to that point in life where I was playing (and.. learning) with little dinosaur figurines everyday and wouldn't stop, but then I grew up and lost all of that knowledge.

No pun intended Cryolophosaurus is also known as Elvisaurus. That's pretty awesome itself. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ElvisaurusI also really like the Nanotyrannus; it's basically a tiny t-rex. And it's name means 'tiny tyrant'. That is SO cute! I usually, oddly, like dinosaurs for their name meaning. If they have a cool name with a cool meaning, I like them.
