SPAM - Short Pointless Annoying Messages. SPAM is not good. You wanna keep the chit-chat for PMing, right? Can't have the board clogged up with things people don't need to know. =]

SPAM - Short Pointless Annoying Messages I thought the S stood for "stupid"? Oh, look. We can't say p*rn now. Should I allow that word then? I don't think its a nice word...

I don't think it's a nice word either. You even said so yourself that: "This is a board, not 'happyland' or something like that, and thus it is to expect both positive and negative ideas." But there's no escaping it. You can even hear it in sermons and the news and what have you. Now, am I against censoring that word on these boards? Not really, nor am I so much for it, either. I just felt like pointing it out in a somewhat jokingly manner, 'tis all.

I don't think it's a nice word either. Censoring it is up to you if you wish Yoshi Soul. The board isn't Happyland but we should try to keep it a place for everyone for all ages.

A very significant percentage of visitors to this site are too young to be exposed to words like that. The thought of those little kids asking their parents what it means is simply disturbing to me. Many parents worry a lot about these things. I wouldn't care about censoring words if this were an emulation site or something like that, but since this whole site revolves around a character that is almost always included in games meant for little kids, I must take these measures. I'm sorry, I know we all want to have absolute freedom to speak. But that is not possible in a site with this kind of traffic.
What do you think?

I honestly wouldn't mind that if it were to be censored, and I agree about the whole child-traffic thing going on here. Do what you think is right, man. I'm usually nobody to take suggestions from, anyway.

I really don't think it should be consored... It's not like it is in itself a bad word.

I don't think children should be exposed to it either. I mean what if they get curious and type that word in a search engine to figure out what it is? I think it should be censored. Perhaps you could say youth instead of little kids because when you say little kids, you are talking about little people, and adults sometimes are as small as little kids. Plus it sounds rude and improper. Just say the Youth.

Ugh. Anyways, let's wait for the final decision from Yoshi Soul and Tim Yoshi. Like I said, I agree 100% with Yoshi Soul, IT should be censored, for the best, trust me. There are other words that refer to IT and maybe you should take into consideration of censoring them. But I know that this is not "Happyland" but it should be a place for kids (notice how I didn't say little kids. Not all kids are little. Some are fat, some are slim, some are tall, and some are short. That's why it isn't correct to say little kids because you are just referring to kids who are short in size) of all ages.

Oh my God! Yoshi Soul kills people! RUN!! Yus yus thats right... But I don't kill friends, even if they have " 'tudes" (Come on, it should be obvious...) little kids, please don't take my signature word for word... Teh Yoshi, it looks like you are the kind of person who points and laughs at everything, so I suggest you visit this website: www.anti-rice.com . It gave me some good laughs =) After you're done browsing it, please tell me what you think of 'ricers'. And little kids = the youngest kids. An adult is an adult, and a kid is a kid, so there should be no confusion in that. Nobody can truly be an "adult kid", except Tom Hanks... little kids little kids little kids

Oy! I've always hated ricers! I've known them since... well, for far too many years. They hurt me . Seriously, they spend too much money making their car look fast rather than actually doing something productive. They bring down the import scene significantly. Stupid posers. Another thing, they're always concerned about image. Argh, if it's one thing I can't stand, it is people who are always self-conscious about their image. Nobody gives a flying floop de floop but you! I don't give a freak how one looks, but rather how they act! And going back to cars, if I were to get a car, I'd prefer a used and slow piece of crap over a brand new one, but only if the car has great gas mileage and is a little clean. And if by God if I were to ever get a new car, I'd prefer a hybrid so that I can save gas. Screw how it looks or the speed, I want efficiency! I know I'm never going to race cars at all, and same goes for the majority of those dreaming ricers out there. [/end rant] Oh well, I used to like cars a lot, namely imports, but I lost complete interest now. There's no point anymore, no need to waste my time dreaming. EDIT: Oh yeah, LITTLE KIDS!!

Well, I'd rather let ricers exist, if they didn't then I would have one less thing to laugh at. Ahahahahah!! I don't mind seeing cheap riced cars for as long as they are not cars I especially like. For example I'd hate to see a riced C5 Corvette (I saw a few at anti-rice.com). Anyone who owns a riced car is in serious need of inflating his ego. I'll certainly buy used cars, even if I ever have the money for new ones. There are a lot of crap cars in those used car lots (a.k.a. lemons; cars that have been crashed badly but been repaired, mostly), so you have to choose them very carefully. Never rely on the salesman, remember all he cares about is your money. You have to look very closely. For example, if you see a car with a missing badge, and the spot where it should be shows no signs of ever having had a badge there, that usually means that the car was crashed, at least once. Stay away from such cars. I want to buy a V8 sportscar in the near future, after I graduate. Not because I want to show off or anything, I want it because I love to drive fast cars (something which I haven't been able to do, been waiting for 6 years). I couldn't care less if other people actually see me in it. I might even darken the windows so that they can't see me hahaha... Did you know that a 4 year-old mustang GT costs about $12,000 less than a brand new one?? It's a helluva' deal! However my first choice would be a Camaro Z28. I would also buy a small, efficient, 4-cylinder car for everyday use. Using a V8 for daily use is, well, not very healthy for your wallet. F**K VIN DIESEL!!!
