YC is not even close to dying. Just because we aren't getting new members everyday (most of them don't even post much more than their introduction post or even nothing), doesn't mean that the forum is dying. The people that are already here are still visiting, posting, and contributing to the community. The de-affiliation really hasn't done much or even anything to the forums, in my opinion.

Yoshi's corner can be seen, that it is actually getting more visitors in, which is great. A site is coming, just bear with me (Since I'm the only developer...). Here's a little preview. Best off downloading a tool called 'XNView' to convert them. Free too. ^^ www.xnview.comAs for the overlord thing, meh, I dunno, heh. Seems humourous compared to just 'Administrator'. |

not to mention our staff line,soul's de-affilation did some damage, but we have: tim,yoshiken,koshi,and PFY repairing the site(do we have more admins) so it's more like 95% alive,5% dead you mean 95%alive and 5%of joey   |

Yes, that appears to be the case. It's like how the national gov't gets more powerful over time, they try to enact good policy everywhere.
There are several ways for that to have been approved, and while not all of them involve taking ideas from YC, many of them do in one way or another. The current games are direct copies of ones already in place here, or are very similar.
I can't say I know Yoshi Soul very well... what are the chances that he would have approved of that, if there wasn't precedence elsewhere?
