 Graedius.. whos your character based on? And where do you get all these icons from? Is the Red Mage some popular character from a game I am too stupid to understand?

Graedius.. whos your character based on? And where do you get all these icons from? Is the Red Mage some popular character from a game I am too stupid to understand?  Ah. I am Graedius, my fantasy name for everything. And, I special in Red Magery... a special Job from the Classic Final Fantasy Series (and FF XI.) In the Classic Final Fantasys, you could make up your party over a wide variety of 'Jobs'... more accurately known as 'Classes'... Each class sported it's own unique sets of moves and abilities. To my knowledge, every classic Job was: Knight Monk Theif Dragoon Samurai Mystic Knight White Mage Black Mage Red Mage Blue Mage Summoner Dancer Bard Geomancer Ranger Mimic Each was unique in it's own special way. in addition, each had a special attire that was traditionally worm with the specific trade of fighting. I am natrually weraing the traditional Red Mage attire, complete with the godly plumed hat. The Red Mage was a Mage designed to be like Both White and Black Mages. White Magic is healing/beneficial magic, and Black Magic is Damaging/detrimental magic. A Red Mage can use about 60% of both, making him a versatile character. As well, a Red Mage can use heavy weapons like Swords to do good melee damage, and wear relatively heavy armor, something the other mage classes cannot do. In addition, Red Mages were also known to be fast-casters... they could cast psells more sparatically than the other mages for a reason most uncertain. (Hence it's 2-hour on FFXI.) While he can use both White and Black, he cannot use all of either, unless each spectrum is studied independantly. Only then can a Red Mage become a Red Wizard, and, if all magic is mastered fully, the greatest of all mages... the Sage. thse sprites were ripped from the WonderSwan Color version of FF1. However, only about 5% of them are exactly was they were in the game... most were eddited by me. Every one involving looking down was made by me. |
