Well, I finally said "aww f**k it" about my work, and started to do what I wanted to do and not what I had to do... So I started this animation. The first frame is a pic that I had in my pile of unscanned pics. Drawing all the frames took me about 2 hours straight, and scanning took even longer because my aging scanner isn't working properly and needs about 15 mins. for each scan ¬¬ Then after importing all the frames into Animation Shop I ran out of RAM (and virtual memory too!!) and had to resize the animation because my computer was lagging like never before... (the frames were BIG). Anyway, here it is...: And here's a shorter (perhaps funnier?) version: img.2yr.net/tmp/soulfalling-sh.gif^^!

Hahaha!! Oh my Gosh! I cannot stop watching this! You've really outdone yourself, Soul! I especially love his face expression whilst falling towards the ground! XD And I also like how each frame is perfectly placed. Especially since you drew every single one of them. This is just godly, Soul! We need to see more from you! ;D

Kweh! Animations are awesome! ;D Very cool, except I'll have to go check it out on a better computer to get the full effect.

Thats great! And that shorter animation is really great too, not to mention really funny. I must say, Yoshi must learn not to put his chair on a hill side.

Holy....
That's one of the most awesome animations that I've ever seen.
You should make the sweat bubbles on his head move around so it increases the power of that emotion.
Furthermore the animation is smooth and well-detailed.

Wow, that animation looks so precisely positioned and very well-coordinated. It also has more than just a single action, which probably meant a lot of effort into doing it. I'm glad you finally found a way to do something you've been wanting to do rather than something you have to do. It's a great feeling!

Well just to say.... It's the best animation I've seen! And made by hand, too!

I never thought people were gonna like it this much @_@! I mean, it's not THAT good, it's just a regular animation, I see much better ones on TV all the time... But thanks much for all your very nice comments!! ;D ;D ;D (All of you) I need to hear other people's opinions about what is ok and what needs improvement in my work, because I can never tell myself... So I thank you all very much. ^^ I wanted to do a full-framed animation like this since a very long time ago, the only problem was that I didn't know what to draw... And I wanted it to be comical too, which made it even harder to come up with something... I always use that position when I'm in my college's library (but without the feet on the table!). I like to balance the chair. So far I've never fallen like this but there have been a few close calls. LOL! I made a colored version today. I wanted to add shading too, but I got tired of coloring, so I didn't: And here's the "quick" version (with different timing): img.2yr.net/tmp/soulfalling-colored-short.gifIndeed it is!! ;D Well, Flash would enable me to make much longer animations... maybe even a short episode... all of this with music, voice, and sound effects; But the main problem for me in making animations is that I don't know what to draw. It took me a very long time to come up with something for this animation. And I'm not good at inventing characters or storylines. And of course, I don't have time for large projects like this... I did think about this, but while I was drawing the animation I figured that there wasn't enough time in the animation for this to happen. (It's real hard to visualize the animation before it's drawn) But yes, I could have made my character wiggle his arms desperately trying to regain balance just before falling like a rock to the ground, while including the flying sweatdrops in all that. I would need to draw 2 or 3 additional frames. Maybe I'll do it sometime in the future, although not right now as I have too much work. >_> I did draw the flying sweatdrops differently in each frame, even though it's not noticeable because it runs too fast. EDIT: I could NOT get this off my head!! I had to see what it would look like See below:
