He ignores the advice of people, it seems. It's like saying. "You have to stop giving fines to people." Against a police officer. There's a difference between "You have to stop giving fines to people." and "You have to stop putting the artist down with your criticism.".

You're going to ban Nightcroshi? Since when are you a Admin? Uh, when did I say I was banning Night Croshi. Do I look like the Admin?

Sounds like a 'hint' to me.

Ah, assuming aren't we? Well, I don't think you covered the whole message, read it again. I was aiming for his attitude, not him in general. Did anyone ever teach you that you have to read between the lines? I don't want to ban NC, nor do I have the ability to, so there.

Attitude... yup, his attitude must be really bad because he just criticized Jelly. Please, run along and go play with your toys. It's hard to debate with you, especially with your lack of common sense. No hard feelings though.

I don't use toys. Why can't you criticize someone other than just Jelly though? Sheesh, stop holding such a grudege.

Well, most of the artists here are actually doing their best to make a great picture. Him on the other hand, hasn't shown any signs of 'improvement'

Uh hu. To tell you the truth, I think there are other artists you can criticize around here, some that can can use it other than Jelly. If Jelly doesn't improve, then oh well, don't waste your breath repeatedly telling him the same thing because he's just not going to listen.

So? I like criticizing, and heck, I couldn't care less if you criticized my art, you aren't in the position to sway my mind.

yeesh
The term I think people are looking for is "Positive Criticism" as opposed to "Negative" or "Insulting Criticism"
How are they defined? Easy. "That's crap" is negative criticism. It serves no purpose. It does not offer suggestions for improvement. It is basically pointless unless you intend to hurt or offend the creator. Or you could just be very lazy.
"It could use some work, have you tried doing this?" "Could be better." "Plenty of room for improvement" You have made the point that you don't think its good without resorting to things that might needlessly hurting someones feelings.
The meaning of Nightcroshi's post wasn't wrong, though the choice of wording could have been a little bit better. That's all. "Low Quality" yeah, that is mild, but still on the harsh side of it. Should be used carefully. Not everyone is a natural talent who will noticeably improve rapidly. Some people have to work very hard over a long period of time to improve even a little. That's just how things are.
On the other hand, they might not want to improve at all. It might be that they are happy with their style and don't worry about it. It could just be that some people draw or animate for fun rather than just to impress or satisfy others.
Shika, you can have a bad attitude when you want. Period. Your first post in this thread was not criticism, it was simply a smart arse sarcastic comment. And I've seen you make more than a couple now. Still more that are just dripping in sarcasm. Grow up yeah? If you don't like it so much just don't say anything. That too hard for you? Worst thing is, you just keep posting more and more, you don't have your say and then leave it. You've already said "bye" twice but no, you came back all the same. No doubt you'll have some sort of response to this as well. Though I'd love to be proved wrong there. I'm not fond of saying negative things about a person on a public forum, but you've earned it. There are a lot of people who don't improve over time. Be they an artist, a 3D modeller or a writer. The answer is simple. Don't look at their drawings, don't download their models and don't read their stories.
To update an old saying: If you don't have something constructive to say, don't say anything at all.

And didn't the thread already shown a few examples of cricitism? Try reading the thread, instead of rushing into the thread and scream like a headless chicken. It's my choice if I show some sarcasm in a post, if you don't like it, go play chess? And if you don't like my way of giving out criticism, especially in this case, then why do you even bother looking at my POSTS? Hmmm? So get a life, alright? And the Bai bai, isn't meant literally if you haven't noticed. Once again, criticism is criticism, if you can't stand some words being used in negative but still constructive criticism then why don't you travel to the moon? It is part of the criticism thing, if people take the insults too serious then they seriously have a problem. Edit: If they don't want to improve or whatever, then they shouldn't spam a forum full of their art. What would you do if you see 9 topics of the same guy showing his so called 1337 artwork off?

BryUK: Finally, SOMEONE understands that I cant improve in a Sony Play Station 3'ing blink of an eye. And yes, I am also happy with how I can draw now in my current style, even if I'll end up improving on it in the future.
Shika: Alright so I might be slow at getting better - Sony Play Station 3'ing GET OVER IT! If you dont think I've 'improved' at all, then you're wrong. I have improved in many stuff and in many ways; my deviantART gallery has solid evidence of my slow but sure and gradual improvements over time. At the start of summer, I could barely draw Yoshi's Sony Play Station 3'ing head let alone the whole thing, and the head looked much worse than it does now.
If you believe I choose quantity over quality, then again you're wrong. Sure, I love to draw a lot, but that doesnt nessiscarily mean I choose quantity over quality. With each new picture I draw, I get closer to improving my work and get better. Again, if you dont believe I'm making any improvements then you are way too Sony Play Station 3'ing impatient, for I'm a relatively simplistic and limited artist - once more, deviantART proves that I have improved over time, even if very slowely.

lol, why am I not surprised.
That was pretty poor. I'm actually dissapointed. I mean come on, really. "get a life". From the person who's posted in the same topic, saying the same thing, looking more and more like an idiot every time.
You see, I did read the topic. I did read your posts, and I've seen some in other topics too.
Fine, have your way. I've had my say and unlike some people, I'm not going to go on and on about it. If you have no sense of tact or decency, that's your problem.

So friggin what? I practice a lot too, but does that mean I will spam the forum or DA with my 'sketches' ? I only scan the sketches that are unique or worthy enough. If I didn't, I there would've been 200 topics about my drawings in the art section by now. And to be honest, I haven't seen the slightest bit of improvement. And to be honest again, you ain't the symbol of modesty either from what I have seen. "The harder the brag, the harder the laugh." Edit: Do I care, Bry? If you're unable to think logically and scream out things just in order to protect your lil' friends, then you're not a worthy person to debate with. Case closed.
