Now before any admin or mod decides to move this over to the Yoshi Games boards, I was gonna post this in the Yoshi Games board at first, but it isnt exactly an official game that you would know of (and may not even exist anymore), but although this is infact very old news, to me and Teh, it was shockingly new. While I was browsing around websites for info, I found something very unusual in the archived news of some Nintendo fansite. Apparently it was posted round the same time as news of the GBA and games were announced before it was launched... take a look at this screenshot I had taken from it... Notice the date it was posted in the news for that site.. August 15, 2000. Never in my life have I heard about this, let alone see anything of it (the only thing close enough to this I know of is the Yoshi's Story tech demo that was demonstrated on the GBA devkit), but I only found out about it today (hence why I am posting it here right now) Any thoughts on this? I find the screenshot vaguely bizarre, mainly because of the 3D quality shown in this screenshot (though my guess is that the Yoshi shown at least is pre-rendered 3D, but look at the size of the sprite in comparison to the whole screen). I'd like to hear what others think of this old (but new to me) news that I just discovered...

You posted so much, I really don't know what else to say other than this: What a weird saddle.

LMFAO, Barney killed Yoshi and stole his saddle! His horribly...horribly awkward...saddle...
He has a fat tail and scrawny arms too. And he's purple. Purple. No.
Seriously, No.

I think this might just be a fake, Duke nukem advance uses the Ken Silverman BUILD engine, It's the doom version i'm guessing due to you can react so much with the enviroment, And the frame rate seems to slow down in some areas, The game actually only consists of a roof and a wall, and 2d sprites, If this game were coming out for the gba though, i'd be quite amazed, but i'm pretty sure this isn't true.

That looks so stupidly fake, for one. For two, the GBA could not ever do such quality. The DS, maybe. But not a GBA.

Yeah, like I said, if it does show that onscreen, then the Yoshi itself would be pre-rendered 3D animation in form of a sprite or object.. the floor would probably be in mode7 (same technique used to make flat ground surfaces for games like Mario Kart and F-Zero on the GBA/SNES). And just for reference, here's the page where I found this, so you can go see for yourselves www.sm128c.com/news/archives/arc7-2000.htmlJust scroll to the very bottom, then move up a few articles and it'll be right there along with other GBA or news of that time in the archive.

For a fake, I think it looks pretty darn cute. Kinda reminds me of the old yoshi, y'know...the structure of him looks like a 3D rendering of the old Super Mario World Yoshi; ...I think it would be sweet if that was a virtual Yoshi friend game. With that little cursor dealy, you can say 'Hey! Yoshi! Go eat that fruit!' Or something as stupid and pointless as that. Like that Pikachu Genki Dechu thing...XD

Lol, I remember those Pikachu things. The ones you shook to gain pika-points' and then you could play the lottery and make Pikachu hate or love you? When I was in 5th grade (when Pokemon was first released in North America) all my friends had them...even guys...

lmao, hehe, i was hoping theyd make another game using that device, it couldv'e been sweet to use in a zelda game, but it would get kinda anoying, it'd be like "hey link, get out of there, theres a armos chasing you idiot!!" haha, actually that'd be kinda amusing in windwaker since theres so many face expresions for link in that game

I remember "Hey you, Pikachu!"... you could tell Pikachu to screw off and die. Too bad that was one of the many games that never made it to Europe/Australia.. I missed out on it

That game is definitely fake. Those are GCN graphics, if anything.

It's fake, period. It's most likely from some other game and the person with the screenshot is just some jerk who likes messing with people's minds and starting rumors. I have NEVER seen a GBA game with such good graphics. And to make sure this is true, maybe someone could send a letter to Nintendo. LEVEL UP ! !I have shown my point.

I've just noticed somthing, Note that they said this : "One can only hope this is a foreshadow of how good the "Nintendo Dolphin" Will be..
And for those who don't know, The nintendo Dolphin was the prototype name for the nintendo Gamecube, Just find that kinda stupid for a person to mention "nintendo Dolphin" When theyre talking about the gameboy advance =P lol that just gives it away that it's fake

You know that the dolphin was the NGC's true codename? I got proof. (### represents it's unique codenumber) Look at the back of your NES controller... codename = NES-###... Look at the back of your SNES controller... condname = SNS-###... Look at the back of your N64 controller... codename = N64-###... Look at the back of your GameCube controller... condname = DOL-###
