[TWO MONTHS AGO]
Nightcroshi and Amazon were finally happy. They had found a place where they could live peacefully without being worried about being hated because they were different. They were mutants, afterall. One night, the mutant pair went camping with a couple of fellow Yoshi Corner dwellers. They roasted marshmallows, they played Yoshi games, and they told scary stories. Everything was good, grand, great. Fun times for everyone. Anjil and Yoshiken were snuggling together by the toasty camp fire. Digi was roasting muffins. Graedius was practicing his black magic. They were about to call it a night, when the goddess Mother Nature made a cruel decision. She was filled with fury how the creatures on her planet were destroying it with pollution and ungrateful litter. She unleashed her wrath in a huge thunderstorm, 50 miles high in the sky. Little did she know that the peaceful beings of Yoshi's Corner were camping right under her angry thundercloud. Amazon woke with a start as she sensed the thunderstorm, her connection with the weather awaking her. She blinked, trying to get rid of it. There was no way even Amazon could rival with a real goddess. She would have to fight it. She woke up Nightcroshi, and pointed into the starless fuming sky. The cloud boiled over, threatening to decimate all of Yoshi's Corner and all of it's residents. Amazon could not fly into the cloud, as it would strike her for sure.
"I can stop it. Just get me into the middle of the cloud." Amazon assured.
"I'll teleport you. But you do know that teleporting into the cloud means sacrificing our lives.. Is it really worth it?" Nightcroshi's voice faltered as his head gazed towards the quiet tents.
"Of course.. Let's go before they wake. We can't make this any more painful than it already is." Amazon bit back tears as the two embraced each other. Amazon shut her tearfilled eyes, and she took a final look at all her friends for the last month. With a nod, Nightcroshi and Amazon disappeared into the night, 50 miles high into the sky. With a cackle of great electricity, a huge explosion, the thundercloud literally blew apart and the stormy sky cleared. The denizens of Yoshi's Corner crawled out of their tents, as they looked in the sky and all they saw were puffs of Nightcroshi's sulfur smoke.
Mother Nature gazed at her dissapating thundercloud.
"That was quite admirable.." She mused to herself as she summoned the two spirits of the fallen heroes.
"There's just enough life force in both of them to create one strong being. And one warrior is all I need.." She grinned as she cast a spell to ressurect her new General of Nature. A force to be wreckoned with, with pure skill and pure power. A tempest.
[PRESENT]
Tempest returned to his former home, hoping to find his old companions still alive. As he teleported back to Yoshi's Corner, thunder cackled and rain poured out of the sky. The Yoshi's gathered around the lightning induced crater in the center of their home. When the golden smoke cleared, they saw the blue yoshi clad in golden armor, with a spaded tail.
"NIGHTCROSHI! Where have you been? Where's Amazon?" One yoshi exclaimed.
With a booming voice that seeped power, .. the Yoshi replied
