After recent events, Setoshi, Nightcroshi and I came to the conclusion that we need to make a new board for the community because of two factors... 1. Proboards sucksProboards may be decent for an online board, but let's face it - it has problems that can be overcome by a better free board service. Proboards lacks certain features, has no board banner, it tends to make random weird errors at times, and above all, it can get really slow at times... this new board doesnt have any of those cons. 2. We need a new adminIt recently came to my attention that TimYoshi - admin of the current Yoshi's Corner boards, had deleted a thread, dubbed "Yoshi's Corner AWARDS", that was started by a YC MOD. The reason? Because he wasnt nominated in any of the catagories for anything. He even admitted this himself too, and there is proof to back it up (according to Nightcroshi). Seriously, do we really want an admin that takes such a thing so hard enough to just delete it and spoil the fun for everyone else? Nightcroshi and I think not. As creator of this new board, I have made myself admin to the new Yoshi's Corner. I know I'm still a new member here, and some people would think it would be better to let someone else do it, but believe me, I got admin and modding experience myself and I believe I know how to handle it. I am also practically online all the time, and I seem to spend a lot of time on da net anyways. (that explains why I make/post art at DA so d*mned often =P) I will also be sure to give all current moderators and global mods their powers when they join the new board. At Yoshi's Corner, we follow a strike policy, right? Well.. Tim has taken his 3rd strike.. and now its time for him step down!
Strike One: Cowardice - Back when the tyrant Yoshi Soul ruled these boards.. a great member, Joshi, was banned with no reason. TimYoshi ALLOWED for this to happen, even though he HAD MORE POWER THAN SOUL. He could have easily said, "No, Soul. Joshi did not do anything wrong. I wont allow you to ban him." However, he just sat by and watched a great member be banned. He was just too scared to step up to the plate.
Strike Two: Ignorance - After many confrontations with Yoshi Soul, a whole group of us decided to speak with Tim about the problem. All of us gave him a whole list of good reasons that Soul should have been demoted. But Tim would not listen. He completely denied the fact that Soul was a problem at all, and told us to lay off. By the time he realized that he had made a mistake, Soul had done his damage. People were ready to leave the boards.
Strike Three: Selfishness: As listed above in Jelly's post.. He deleted The Yoshi's Awards because he wasnt nominated. How selfish is that? Ruining EVERYBODY'S fun just because he didn't get nominated.
Three strikes, and your out..!
Tim.. your a good guy. But your just not fit to run these forums anymore. I understand that you tried your best, but your best wasn't enough..Please do not delete this thread. If you do, you are just once again proving your selfishness.. because you would rather stay in charge than do whats best for the board AND it's members. Afterall, that is whats important right..? The members. Now.. we need a new admin. A new admin with experience and confidence.. someone like Jelly!

Now this is just being too rash.
Okay, deleting the thread was undeniably a dispicable act, but it was a human mistake, with better judgement being overrun by a darker emotion. It's not commendable, but it surely isn't grounds to abandon ship.
Next off, while I'm not about to go and defend proboards, I simply cannot STAND invisionfree... it's so... pithy!
And honestly: 27 boards? How can one expect to keep track of or even USE that many? I've always thought 5 was a good number... Oi...
Bottom line,
I'm perfectly happy here.

If you want my honest thoughts right here and right now, I kind of doubt that the apparent "new" Yoshi's Corner would flourish. I'll join, but don't expect so much posts from me, if any at all. I mean, the boards sprang because of and for ill reasons, and I'd hate to be a part of them. Seriously, I honestly don't know if those new boards were made in spite of this one or to actually make better boards.
And so what, Tim Yoshi did one bad thing. What about the three strike rule crap? You guys are jumping into things way too fast. It is apparent because you guys jumped on Tim's ass the moment he did one wrong thing (I don't remember other bad things he has done in the past), and now you guys are biatching about a new administrator? Give him a break, God dammit! Also, you guys made WAY too many boards at your forums. Again, proof you're jumping into things too quickly. Don't expect all of them to work very soon, or maybe at all. (From my past experiences with boards, those who don't take things slowly or the rate it all flows are quite liable to abuse their staff powers. I'm not saying that it WILL apply to the new Yoshi's Corner, but it's quite the possibility.)
And Jelly Belly, you weren't even a part of the chat we were all in. This bit might be a bit irrelevent, but I'll say it anyway.

Well.. I officially don't know what to do.. While I support the new boards, I don't wanna leave the members of this forum. But after that huge fight with Tim.. I feel like I've severed my connection with him and these forums. I mean.. the things we were saying to each other were pretty hurtful. I was just SO angry that I didn't know what to do, and did the first good idea that became available. Now.. I just dont know.

Uh... It's wrong stealing someone else's mesage board. It's very wrong. You can't just do that. I know you're my friend Melee, but I can't just let you take away Timyoshi's message board (even if he was a bit harsh)!! It's like taking over the world, which doesn't belong to you. =( If you're gonna start a new message board FINE, but don't expect anything from me...>.>

Well...I did not even click on that link! I will never join that board! Tims board is just perfect as it is right now! I still cant believe that you two did that! How dare you! Well, in my humble opinion...I'm sorry, but your board will crash and burn. Not only are you two the only ones who think that Tim is a bad admin, but...Jelly Belly, I would've expected you to be a little more flexible on the matter. I mean, come on! You only just joined what, a little more than two weeks ago, and you decide to make another board, dubbing it the 'New Yoshi's Corner' without ANY consent from anybody else...
And Nightcroshi, as soon as the admin makes three strikes (which I believe are hardly strikeable acts) you decide to make a new board? Pitiful.

Mmm...it was a bit of a pratish thing to do. You are hardly going to make friends if you lash out at them in chat are you? You have some bridge-building to do, you know.
Not everybody will have the same opinions as you, and while its not 'forbidden' to dislike someone, I hardly think making a new board so that we have a new admin is a highly plausible idea. You guys seriously need to think about things before you rush into them.

Well its about time i came an threw my 2 cents in also.....the crap about the new yoshi's corner is bullshit ???WTF are you 2 thinking trying to get away with making a new board with the exact same name....that is childish jus because u didnt get your thread get the hell over....i can understand why Tim deleted the thread he's the one who started the board an he cant even get a foundership award or somethin god..... well ive spoken my peace about this issuse and i will not be joining the new board , i might however hack an sabatage it..... |

Ok i see that you guys don't exactly like the idea of the Admin here but starting a new Yoshi's Corner is juts plain plagarism......
Timyoshi was the one who thought of this board and you guys are taking it away from him.....
anyways i'll join only because i agree with you about the random errors of Proboards!

This sucks, man. Alot. I've worked REALLY hard for the new YC skin. And now, it's hard work trashed. All we wanted is to help Yoshi's Corner. Really, I'm sick and tired of proboards and it's laggyness. And you don't give Jelly even ONE chance. Go on guys, burn the IF Yoshi's Corner. Burn and trash all the hard work we've been doing. >=( Now I made a beautiful skin for nothing...
And you guys are always like "Tim is cool, he's a great admin. Blah blah blah." FACE IT. If it could be any admin, he would be the great one. NO MATTER WHO. Even if it would be Jelly Belly!
