I have a queston, is Banjo Kazooie 3 ever going to come out I know there's a GBA Banjo Kazooie, most people count that as the third one. I'm talking more about a new Banjo Kazooie for the gamebcube...and thats where another subject is. I was searching for Banjo Kazooie for the gamecube, and afew sites said nintendo sold rareware to X-box!!! Is this true ? I really hope not. I'm all confused now, because rare helped nintendo with Donkey Kong, and Banjo Kazooie, and quite alot of other fun games!! I thought nintendo selling rare to be somewhat true when Donkey Kong wasn't a playable character in Mario Party 5, but then again Donkey Kong still is in the game!! Plus there is even a Donkey Kong game out (the jungle beat one) Please fill me in the best you can on Banjo Kazooie and rareware, thankyou.

Rareware took off sometime last year, if memory serves me correctly, apparently they and Nintendo spilt, and as for Rare, I'd have no idea where they are at the moment.
They could be working with Sony or Microsoft, not to sure though.
I wouldn't count of BK3 being released, but you can always wish on a shooting star.

Yes, Nintendo sold Rare back all of the stock they had in it. In their splitting, though, Rare concede some character rights to Nintendo, like Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong.
Microsoft immediately bought Rare, and they now produce garbage for the X-Box.

Thanks you two for posting back to this.
That really makes me mad that nintendo and rare spilt!! What happened? Why did they split? At least nintendo still has some rights to the characters somewhat.

Maaaaaaan... Banjo-Kazooie had to be one of the best games I had ever played... ever! Good times, good times... I'll be missing them lots, though. Luckily for me, my friend kind of forgotten about his Xbox here, and it's been lying dormant for several months now. I'll be waiting for that new BK3 release, even though 1. I kind of doubt it (for shame!), and 2. I hate the Xbox...

I'm not an X-box fan either.
This one site I saw showed a picture of Banjo Kazooie 3 for a major system, and I remember afew other sites saying that BK3 was going to be for the X-box. I don't know if the picture is fake or not. Still makes me mad.

Aaargh, all this BK talk is driving me nostalgiac! Even my original icon: came from a very old drawing of mine that was never completed, only because I half-way drew Banjo riding on his back . I don't even remember when I started it, but I've been meaning to finish it some time, but I'm just too scared of drawing Banjo since he looks so complex (and since I like keeping things look all real/official). All I drew was the Yoshi's body with Banjo's torso on his back and a spiffy Banjo-Yoshi logo. Ehh... someday, I'll complete it.

Geh, you'll never know with the world of gaming.
Hell, Microsoft tends to be raking in a lot of the goodies lately, so it makes you wonder now doesn't it?
How much longer will it be before Microsoft turns around and takes over the world? ^^;;
Personally, I don't have an issue with the games console itself. Sure, it may resemble a surfboard, and the controller can be used as an industrial paper weight, but it makes me wonder why Mircosoft ever bothered in getting into the gaming industry.
I know that money has a huge issue with it, but really, why?
I can still remember the days when it just used to be Nintendo and Sega.
Shame Sega had to go the way it did, it was an alright console back in the day. n.n

Here, I just found this online. It shows the picture I was talking about in my above post, and even some more pictures. The pictures say Rare and Nintendo though, and also 2000. the year 2000 would be before nintendo and rare split, and when there was still a chance for a BK3 game on a nintendo system, right? If the pics are real, then I guess Nintendo was at least thinking of a Banjo Kazooie game... and here's the link. www.geocities.com/banjordan/banjo-box/

Well, they were considering it, and I'm pretty sure that Nintendo/Rare were developing something at one stage. I cannot recall if it was BK3 though, it was more of another version of DK Racing, and it was going to be for the Gamecube.
Shame it didn't go through though. Some of the screenshots were nice.

I would rather see it on a nintendo system too. I think nintendo and rare spliting is a big mistake. If Banjo and Kazooie go over to the X-box, I don't think I'll buy the system (you never know though) but I might just buy the game and stare at it and then put it somewhere, so at least I have it. Banjo Kazooie is my all time favorite nintendo game. I really don't want it to go over to the X-box, and besides, maybe instead of buying just the game, I wont buy it at all, and we can all boycot rare until they go back to Nintendo...(ok,ok, long shot, long shot) I think I'll stick with just buying the game so I have it. (And thanks for the telling me about Dixie Shi)

I think they will be for the gamecube. Fifth said that nintendo still has rights to some of the characters from rare.

Rare became property of Microsoft long ago.
So, this means there is nearly a zero chance of seing any Banjo games on any other console. Or Conker, or Perfect Dark for that matter.
Nintendo however will keep Donkey Kong, as they made that way back in the 80's.
BK will probably end up on the Xbox eventually... it was a popular game, after all.
