... Oi... I jsut thought of a hard game... Timesplitters 2. Getting a perfect 100% is a pain, not to mention impossible. Getting platinums on Arcade League Scrap Metal and Challenge Mode Night of the living dead.... Is just INSANE. (Killing a skinny robot 10 times in a row in a vast scrapyard, and respawn time being 3 seconds.... Impossible.)

Megaman games are easy when you know how. I've beaten MM1-7, Megaman & Bass (though it's a lot harder with Megaman), MMX1-3, MMBN1-4, and... er... oh, yeah, MMNT. The trick is remembering that every boss has a weakness to a particular weapon... or has an easy pattern you can use against them with charged buster shots.
Funny you should mention Zombies. I managed to complete it just today (a ROM, mind), and I never got past about level 36 of 46 back when I had the cartridge. I only beat the ROM through liberal use of the rewind function.
The recently released Boktai: The Sun Is In Your Hand is very hard to complete without being found or getting zero continues. In fact, it's practically impossible.
A good puzzler would be Mario's Picross, or Picross 2 (Japanese only)... they can be frustratingly hard at times if you turn the hints off.
You want a challenge? Try beating the whole of Jungle Strike or Urban Strike without being shot down once!
R-Type, Zero Wing, and similar games are very hard simply because you come to the point where the screen is about 80% projectile things that can kill you. Ow.
The Incredible Machine 3... man, the puzzles on that one get insanely hard on the hardest difficulty level. I never did beat Rocketropolis...
Reflexion, made by someone using Game Maker, is another one of those stupidly hard puzzlers. Also, Puzzle Genius is just... I don't know how to explain it, except that it you thought Lolo was hard, you're in for a shock.
But... the mother of all hard games has to be Pushover... I have NEVER beaten that thing. Out of the 100 levels, I've only gotten up to 52 after having a copy of the ROM for three freakin' years. Aye carumba!

While the MegaMan thing is true, it was significantly harder on the Original (Non-X) MegaMan games as bosses, when hit by their weakness, didn't receive a stunning knockback as they did in the X-games. Even then, the levels weree sometimes so stupid that you wanted to kill yourself. Yes, I'd vouch for a female hero being better than male 90% of the time. 'Tis why I love Samus. And no, it's not because "Omgz0RzZ sheS teh HOTNEZZZ LMAOZ0RZ"... It's because of her nigh-total breach of stereotypical women in games/movies/literary events. This time, the woman's doing the ass kicking... and hard.

Women, may I remind you, also seem to be a lot more flexible than men and therefore have a lot more manuverability. Women can dodge, roll, twist around, aim better, etc. LEVEL UP ! ! Esspecially if you're a Yoshi female. Yoshies have extremely stretchable skin.

Esspecially if you're a Yoshi female. Yoshies have extremely stretchable skin. That's likely a totally different case, however... for one ,the skin's stretchability has little to do with joint and muscle stretchability/flexability. As well, in almost all species other than humans, the females are larger and more encumbered than the males. However, this does make them several times stronger in some cases. Hahah.

You ain't lived till you've tried running with assets. The pain of it all. Yeah, but look what happened to Lara Croft. XDD Talk about letting yourself go, sheesh... The only female in a video game that I can think of right here right now, is Kazooie from BK. She may not be a human, but its her kind of attitude I admire in a bird. =P

I just remembered about a game that was hard for me, but it actually stayed hard all the way through!. That would be Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars for the SNES. The last boss was very hard and takes at least a half hour to beat. Actually, earlier in the game, I needed help beating a boss called The Axem Rangers, and let's just say that through trial and error, I was able to browse a bunch of sites and eventually found teh yoshi's site. I emailed him on how much I liked his site, which was about a year old at the time, and we then became friends. So let's just say that thanks to an awsomely hard game, I met my first online friend. Anyway, Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars is a very hard game and worth playing.

SMRPG was kind of easy. I beated the game in 2 days. And is I would have played all day long it would have been one day.The trick is the lazy shell. To beat Smithy... You take J'inx's belt, the ultimate weapon of the character and you equip the Lazy Shell. The others die and he survives and beat the boss =)

Nuh-uh, 'twas Geno's power that made the game a joke. Once he learned Geno Whirl, the game was over. you could even kill Exor in one hit with that babeh!

Yep. We jsut to have a perfect timing and a 9999 is made. But still. If we don'T have it with a good timing it is useless. My way is a better one.

That game was pretty hard at points... but Mario RPG's have always been pretty good. Did you find all the hidden treasure chests? I did... with the aid of a walkthough >_>

Without a walkthrough, I only had 2 missing hidden treasure chests. I remember one of them being the very first one you encounter in the hallway in Mushroom Kingdom. I would've never figured that one out.

I think that (on the Ps1) that FF should be a pretty good game, l only turned it down because o the actual play graphics not the little clips.
