Lazoshi's hands look more like mittens, but oh well.
I love your proportions, and the curves you drew on their backs make them seem more like they have actual spines.
I like the shading technique you used for youself; it looks really furry. The fluffiness in the front makes it look nice, too. Her left hind foot is kind of small in comparison to the rest of her limbs, though.

The second one is so cuuuute! :3 It kinda looks like a doggie, except mixed with a Yoshi. It reminds me of my own dog with the adorable brown eyes and the scruffy chest fur. Great stuff!

So, you do know that the second one is awesome, right? XD.
Seriously though, out of both of the pictures Pawy; you really went all out to show your manipulation of styles. The first one, which is that of Lazo, is something that you said you've wanted to do for quite sometime. You also mentioned, that it was one of the few statures of him that you felt pleased with. In fact, that is a very true statement; this really goes over the bar and aids in the characterization of what Lazo is. It's hard to decide what should be pinpointed first, but one of the most "stand-out" parts of that piece, is his expression in general. Lazo has always come off, as having that type of "smug" personality, at least character wise. You were really able to show this, and that little grin from side to side seems perfectly placed. Usually eyes on a Yoshi seem near to impossible to perfect, however you went beyond the call of duty and gave them a sense of depth. Instead of them seeming side by side, you actually achieved the goal of placing one farther back than the other; thus letting his nose expand, and giving it proper motion. Majority of Artist disconnect the nose, and extend it outwards, and at times that can take away qualifications. You on the other hand, were able to keep everything in place. As well, great sensation in the two folded arms down beside his chest, they are stepping stones in the completion of his attitude. One thing that you always succeed through Pawy, would be the usage and experimentation of your tails. Yoshies have always seemed to be given stubby little "back-ends", and that just takes away from any true potention. Yet, when looking at your pieces, you've always given them a sense of length. This is really adored, because it lets a gentle aura run off of them, making them seem very personal.
The shading and lighting that you utilize has definetly worked it's way into your styles. This image of Lazo does not fail in proving your point. With a simple stroke of diffrent hues, you were able to give us an idea of where his body leaned. Such as along the rim of the mouth and the cheeks, the way you colored those areas has given it a position of anatomy. As well, your eyes have always been a gem to everything you put them within; this is not an exception. That little glint in the side gives Lazo a sense of nobility, and it also adds to his "arrogant" type of position. These little nicks and nacks not only unify your statement, they evolve it and grope it. Keep up this extrodinary work on what you do Pawmeister, there is not one individual who could take on your mastery within the field of colors and backgrounds. When you put your textures into something Pawy, they always seem so bright; as if they connect with a part of the mind. Letting fields of vision flow through us, they draw us in, and keep us glued to your works.
Now, your second one is definetly a major expansion in the way that you have always drawn. When you speak of this piece, you have said that you worked hard to prove your new efforts in the area of shading. It is not a "seizure" so don't fret, in actuality it is that of a wonder, and a true position in the field of growth. The pose itself, as so many have stated, is utterly adorable; there is not one who couldn't go without some want to hug this creature as she stares back at them. That little fluff of fur, all the way down her chest and to the floor gives the viewer a sense of her softer side. It also gives Pawy a bit of weight, and everyone knows that a little bit there, can help everywhere. The eyes as well, as always, are beautiful in their image to express the glaze of the brown. Best to always keep up this work Pawy, and never let anything there bring you down at all.

First of all, you get instant points for providing alternatives to the DeviantArt links. Kudos! Now then, you're shading's always been so spectacular, and it really shows in the second pic, especially. I love the vibrant colors and the texture of the shading... 'Course, it's a little un-Yoshi-ish, but in such a way that I can appreciate (that is, more animal-ish, as opposed to more human-ish.) And... it's so cute! Oh, and it looks like Lazo's gonna fall over, there. Even with that tail, he'll be on his face within seconds.
