Early Valentine's Pic Help?

Thank you to those who looked over my scrap-book drawing!!! I appreciate the reviews! Despite the loss of my lower jaw I still enjoy a high standard of living.

Okay, now I really need help >.> . My girlfriend is already thinking about Valentine's Day (go figure >.<), and says that the gifts (if any) have to be "Homemade", such as cooking and the likes. I figured I would start drawing for her for her gift, so off I was... and here I am, begging for advice on how I can improve the picture on photoshop! PLEASE!!! ....*ahem*...random spazzing out moment gone...but still, I am, just like with my many drawings, new to photoshop. If you could give me advice on shading and such, that would be great!!!

...and please note that I am nowhere near done with this. I know plenty of things I need to work on (ex. Sanjo's body, Spazzi's eyes, just to name a few).

EDIT: Yea, I looked over it, and decided to experiment with the photoshop tools. Thankfully, I remembered some things that were taught in Digital Art class . Anyway, here's the updated version, which I think looks a bit better

I like Sanjo's expression- I don't normally see Yoshis with their eyes closed so it was nice.
There's no doubt that your girlfriend will appreciate it, haha. I don't have Photoshop, though, so I'm not sure my advice would have any validity here.

I have Photoshop but I'm not quite sure as to how to work it x,x;. This looks very good though! Great work!

Well, thanks for looking over it ;D

Now, for a "hit-your-head" moment: she was a little depressed, and I wanted some way to cheer her up quickly, so I gave it to her yesterday...which means although she's happy and I get to see her today, I still have to draw something else for her fo V-Day... I'll edit this post or make a new thread depending on how quickly I get it done...
