Board Constitution

PART I

This part explians the powers that the admin, global moderators and normal moderators have and what they cannot do!!!

1)Admin

a)The admin may delete any user that doesn't follow the rules listed in part two.

b)The admin can move the boards or arrange the board in any manner

c)The admin may change or modify the moderators if they are not fulfilling thier duties(in section 3 of part one)

d)The admin cannot delete a user just because he doesn't like the member

e)The admin may not delete polls or thread just because he doesn't like the topic.

2)Global Moderator

a)This moderator is to assit the admin in his duties and to make sure the admin is not out of line.

b)Global moderator help keep track of changes to the board layout.

c)Global has as many powers as the admin if he abusing his powers they may be restricted.

3)Moderators

a)Modertaors are to report any misconduct to Timyoshi or Yoshi Soul via e-mail so people don't know who told.

b)Moderators help manage certian boards and can answer any quetions members have because Timyoshi and Yoshi Soul mostly are busy.

c)Moderators can be removed and replaced when they are not fulfilling thier duties

d)No moderator/global moderator/admin shall delete a topic or post just because they don't like a user's opinion. However it may be deleted if it violates other rules.

4)Members

a)post threads, polls reply messages and have fun

b)Any member that breaks any rules you have three chances then are out for a week. upon returning send a letter of apology to Timyoshi or Yoshi Soul.

5)Guest

a) any guest that break the rule may get away with but if they join we will be way MORE STRICT ON YOU.!!!
PART II

Rules for the board some rules may be modified at this point. Remember you have three chances.

a)No obsense content(no complex socio-economic political studies)
b)NO SPAM
c)No Hurtful remarks(racial,physicial or disrespectful)
d)make friends with everyone don't isolate groups(everyone in the group gets a warning)
e)NO CURSING(you may use sub word such funk instead of the f word)

f)Everybody has thier own opion as long as it isn't directed to a person.
g)Keep all off topic stuff in Yoshi Cafe please
H)Have Fun
i)No insulting Yoshi or you will be banned. Now, this doesn't mean you can't say anything negative about him; You can state your opinions about him as long as you don't annoy other users with them. But, if you are ever found clearly trying to annoy Yoshi fans, then you WILL be banned (note Thanks Yoshi soul!)

j)Guests that persist in causing trouble on this board will be tracked via IP address and other info and will be traced back to their Internet Service Provider and reported for harassment

But they may delete posts that clearly violate this 'constitution' (as we are calling it at the moment). Moderators that abuse their power and/or do not follow rules shall be turned back to regular users. Users may report moderator misconduct to the admin. Moderators only have one chance after being reported. Moderators have the power to delete bad topics, bad posts, and warn users but they should not delete users. However they can suggest the admin to delete a particular user.

For users:

Please try to keep ''pointless topics" down to a minimum. For example, creating a post saying that you're back from a vacation is pointless IF you don't have anything to say about the things you saw or did. So try not to post things that are difficult to reply to.

No insulting Yoshi or you will be banned. Now, this doesn't mean you can't say anything negative about him; You can state your opinions about him as long as you don't annoy other users with them. But, if you are ever found clearly trying to annoy Yoshi fans, then you WILL be banned.

I would like to remove the 'apology letter' option and give users only the 3 chances. Some people just don't understand instructions and will do anything to keep doing what they want (psychopaths).

Moderators should always ask me or Tim if they are unsure about whether to delete a suspicious topic or not. But they may delete posts that clearly violate this 'constitution' (as we are calling it at the moment). Moderators that abuse their power and/or do not follow rules shall be turned back to regular users. Users may report moderator misconduct to the admin. Moderators only have one chance after being reported. Moderators have the power to delete bad topics, bad posts, and warn users but they should not delete users. However they can suggest the admin to delete a particular user.

You may never use complete curse words, but you may use the first letter. For example instead of the F word, use "F". Words that are neither obscene, racist or disgusting ( for example "hell" ) should be allowed.

The admin may not delete polls, posts, topics or users just because he doesn't like them. However, he may delete them if they are in violation with any of the other rules.

No moderator/global moderator/admin shall delete a topic or post just because they don't like a user's opinion. However it may be deleted if it violates other rules.

The Admin also has the freedom to change the name of the board.

Board Constitution


Rules for users, guests, moderators, global moderators and administrator


1) Admin

The admin is the most powerful member of the board, and is in charge of monitoring all moderators. The admin must also communicate with moderators. The admin must also check the board at least once a week.

The admin:

a) Can delete users if they break any rules.
b) Can move or arrange the forums as he pleases.
c) Can remove a moderator that doesn't follow the rules.
d) Can change the name of the board.


2) Global Moderator

The global moderator has almost as much power as the admin. If he abuses his power, he may be reduced to a moderator or a user.

The global moderator's duties are:

a) To assist the admin in maintaining the board and to make sure the admin is not out of line.
b) To help keep track of changes to the board layout.


3) Moderators

Moderators are in charge of helping to keep the board clean and making sure users don't break any rules. They should also try to be helpful to users (for example, answering questions). Moderators may be reduced to users if they abuse their power or stop visiting the board for 2 months or more.

Moderators should always ask Yoshi Soul (global moderator) or Tim (admin) if they are unsure about whether to delete a suspicious topic or not. But they may delete posts that clearly violate the board's rules. Moderators that abuse their power and/or do not follow rules shall be turned back to regular users. Users may report moderator misconduct to the admin. Moderators only have one chance after being reported. Moderators have the power to delete bad topics, bad posts, and warn users, but they cannot delete users. However they can suggest the admin to delete a particular user.


4) Users:

a) Post threads, polls, reply to messages and have fun

Rules for all members:

-No obscene content: Anyone caught posting adult content on this board will be banned immediately. Also, no user may post artwork or images rater over PG-13.

-NO SPAM: Posting more than 4 identical posts is considered spamming.

-Respect other users: Don't post hurtful remarks (racial, physical or disrespectful). Everybody has the right to express their own opinion as long as it isn't directed to a person. Make friends with everyone, don't create isolated groups.

-Keep all off-topic stuff in Yoshi Cafe please.

All right, sorry Soul, I guess we got carried away. We could focus role-playing in a role-playing section. But it would be more helpful to role-play if we had an entire role-play section instead of one thread. I'm siding with Yoshiken. It would be difficult to cramp different role-plays in one thread.

By the way, we started role-playing with the Boshi and Konnichiwa topics, not the Mailtroid. Just wanted you to know so you wouldn't create more role-playing in unnecessary areas.

You can start a new thread for a different role playing game if you want. What I don't want is that you start role-playing on existing threads that were not intended for that purpose when they were created. It messes up the whole board.

well what me and joshi are asking is instead of just having a thread why not have a board for it.....like the "im new" board or the "yoshi cafe" board.....why not just make a roleplaying section.....im on like three other messageboards and all of them have roleplaying boards

I think that's fair. In fact, I was hoping for a new section ever since I've seen random role playing popping up everywhere. It would be solely for role playing so it wouldn't get in the way of most other topics.

1.- A description of what you don't like
2.- Why you don't like it
3.- What you think should be done about it
