Good point. Perhaps in Japan, they have advance animation programs and applications to make animations look and act more realistic. These programs include shading, rendering, background visual effects, and many other characteristics more advanced than the American versions. I'm a big fan of Japanese animation.  |

Nope, I think they do animation just as how its done everywhere else in the world. Cels and such. Nothing fancy, its just certain anime may look advanced, probably because they understand and develop character movement alot more than anywhere else...I mean, theres a difference to animating anthropomorphs to humans; both have attributes and ways of moving that may be different to each other. Its only the companies which buy out and dub the shows in particular which have the right over changing the dialogue and cutting material they find not suitable for kids out. Which is a bit of a pain really, as (and I mean this in no way offensively) american companies seem to find that practically anything so much as showing or depicting smoking, guns, violence, sex and all that isn't suitable for children to view. Which, heck, it isn't, but through some of the anime I've seen, they can completely twist a plot line just by swapping around scenes and changing dialogue about. And as the chain of anime goes, first its broadcast in Japan, then America, then Europe...so anything edited out in America, Europeans don't get to see either. Although, there have been occasions in which so called 'voilent' scenes have been viewable for European audiences, because American cartoon laws are alot more strict than almost anywhere else. Hehe, in particular an episode of Beyblade, a character slapped another person; edited out in America, but viewable in Europe. Tis a crazy way of doing things....n_n* *coughs* And I'm done.  |

Japanese shows are so much better than the american versions. What I meant was that the Japanese version of a Japanese show is so much better than the American Version of a Japanese show. Take the show Yu-Gi-Oh for example... in the Japanese version, like, nearly everyone has guns. In american version, they're editted out so that the characters just point at each other threateningly. Also, there's a lot more gore and swearing in the Japanese version. In the Enlgish version, they alter it and make it so bloody kid-friendly. |

I don't know, but all I know is that at one point later on, Mokuba is supposed to hold Yugi up with a ChainGun, but they editted it out... so I guess he's just really intimidating... ;D |

Yeah...they did that with Beyblade too. They used guns as blade shooters, yet they still edited it out. I mean... They weren't even REAL guns. Its absolute insanity...thats why programs like Beyblade and Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon have such rubbish rates over here. They take out all the good stuff. Oh, and they don't actually swear that much in Japan, either. Thats all down to who translates it, some words can mean more than one thing to different people, so something as tame as 'damn' could mean....erm...well, another, more 'adult' word to a different translator. |
