I think all dreams mean something, not sure what mine mean at the moment, but I think yours was doing two things for you. One, letting you know it "wasn't time yet" and two, it gave you an experience to share with your family and friends. I'm no dream examiner, and that's just my opinion.

Speaking of dreams that mean things, our Lit Teahcer shared one with us last year, now this one has to mean something. (This is what I remember from it)
Mrs.S (Our Lit Teacher) had just bought a new house. It had a basement like area, and was really nice with nice rooms all around. She went to sleep one night, and this dream happened.
She was in the house she had just bought. She walked around the rooms, and there was a lady sitting in a chair. Then she went downstairs, and this man appeared, and he said "Take good care of this house".
Thats the dream ^ (a tad short)
This dream surprised Mrs.S so much though, she actully went and hired a person who tells you what your dreams mean. The person told her it was most likly the past owners of the house who lived there. After that, Mrs.S looked up the previous owners, and found the house had belonged to a man living with his wife.

Wow, you know, I think your dream is trying to tell you something. Perhaps it might be an occurence that may happen in your life, or for God to see whether or not it was your time to go. I've heard that you can never die in your dream, like for example, if you fall off a cliff, you'll wake up before you reach the bottom, but if you do die in the dream, you die in realy life! That's scary.

I'd like to hear that one Dragon. Joshi, your right , I don't think you can die in a dream, my friends have done that before, but nothing happens, (ex. My one friend crached into a shed, and "died", but her dream ended) Remember though, it wasn't the dream that almost made me die, it was the fact that in real life, I was holding my breath, and then suffocated myself, so I guess, in a way, the dream caused that. I think the Bright Light was for real though, so that wasn't part of the dream, but came right into the dream, since I was dreaming at the time. In a way, you can die by dreaming if its in real life!! wow

Okay, here goes. First, you need a map. B=Bedroom H>=Hallway going right/left Hv=Hallway going up/down D=Dining Room W=Window *=Terrorist ..=Parents ^=Me at end of dream. _____________________ W B H>>>>> -----------H -----------v -----------v -----------v * * -----------D .. ^ I hope that gives you a good idea. I improvised. Anyway, here's the dream- I'm sleeping with my parents in the Bedroom and all of the sudden I wake up. For some reason, I look over at the window, note that all the light in the room is coming from the window and windows don't give off much light. Anyhoo, you know how in cartoons spys often equip those suction cups to their hands and feet? Well, two or three guys climbed up my window from the outside. By now, I'm freaked out and I look around, my parents aren't in the bed. Then I see that our dining room light is on, it's shining through the hallway. So I get up and go to the Dining Room, there, I see my parents against a wall on their backs scared out of their wits. I walk over and a terrorist grabs me and turns me around, so I'm facing him and he shoots me. (They're wearing ninja like costumes so I didn't see their faces.)

Wow. Thats an interesting dream. What happend after you got shot? Did you flip to another dream, just darkness? Here's a less serious dream from my others. (pictures included, lol) Ok, first know this. My one friend really, really, liked Micheal Jackson. This was during 6th, and a little bit of 7th grade (mostly before all of this stuff is happening with him) Anyway, she would usually have dreams with MJ in it. Then one day, I got my own MJ dream, and its abit mixed in with nintendo. I was in this town. It was a town that had a huge round wall around it to keep enimies out. In this town, lived Michael Jackson. *The dream flips to MJ*. He was making a plan to flood the town in 3 days,so I had 3 days to stop him.(where have we heard that before ) Day 1: 72hours remain: I had other things to do this first day, so I didn't pay much attention to MJ yet. Day 2: 48 hours remain: On the second day, I snuck into where MJ was giving a meeting. He was talking to people who didn't have much money. MJ: "We will never have to worry about shoes again, I'll make shoes cost 39c now". Then I left the meeting. I knew somehow (I forget if he said it at the meeting, or I just knew it) he was going to flood the town with the water tower in the center of town. Day 3: Not even 12 hours remain! I walked outside from my house. There was this HUGE crowd of people all around, screaming, and shouting. I walked through the crowd abit, and saw MJ on the water tower with a pitchfork. Some people were actully happy about him doing this, infact, most of them were, it was crazy. Anyway, I decided to run out of the town through the two huge wooden doors that were open. I ran, and just as I was about to get out of the town, MJ did a motion with his hand, and the doors shut in my face (Mj was a wizard now!!) Then, MJ stuck the Pitchfork in, and the whole town was flooded. lol A Water tower like the one in my dream a not too smart stunt MJ did. he held his baby out of a window to show people.

Ack, sorry! After I was shot, I went into full darkness for a couple of seconds and then woke up drenched in sweat from the dream, I was scared for like five minutes after I woke up! ... Did that map help? It was a pain in the butt to make.

That's scary. I don't think so. (please note that what i'm about to so will be religious and i also don't want this to be much of a religious type post) Because once my cousin dreamt he was jumping across clouds and he fell and died. he then saw a bright light and he went up to heaven. Then he did some Paradise-type things and such. But the point is, he died in his dream and he's still alive.

True, but your cousin dreamed he died and went to heaven, I still think I suffocated myself in real life, and thats why I had a near death experience. I really remember that jolt of coming back, and that heavenly voice. Right after she said "Its not your time yet", I woke up breathing heavy.

Hmm, that is indeed odd. Maybe you were having difficulty breathing while you were sleeping and the dream was like a sign saying, "Wake up, you are suffocating." Do you have any lung problems? Do you snore loudly when you sleep? That's probably why you suddenly woke up gasping for air.

I asked a friend about your religious dream, Yoshi~* and they remarked that it might be of a past life Anyway, that could be it, I believe in reincarnation myself along with the fact of there being a heaven and... well I don't want to get off topic, but do you think that might have been it? Meh, just thought I'd mention it.

the strangest dream than I already had, it was when I dreamed with a store of handmade objects out or the city, 6 months later I traveled with my father, and we stopped at a store, it was the same of my dream, detail for detail.

Do you snore loudly when you sleep? That's probably why you suddenly woke up gasping for air. No, no, I don't have any breathing problems, and I don't think I snore. I'm still thinking that I got deep into the dream, and thats why I started holding my breath in real life. The moment I started to hold my breath, was when I was underwater. If the water surface had came, I'm quite sure I would've started to breathe again. I thought about this some more, and I think the dream ended with me trying to reach the top of the water. Then when the bright light came, that wasn't part of the dream. Its like this. You know how some people die in their sleep? (hopefully when their really old, so they have lived their life out) Say those people who die while sleeping are in the middle of a dream. When they die in real life, they'll hopefully see a bright light, and so the bright light would just come right into their dream like that. A past life?? I believe more in just heaven then having past lives, but everyone can think their own on this one, considering what we all believe. To me, I think the dream ended, and the bright light came right into the dream. If I hadn't held my breath, I think the dream would've just went on until I woke up, with no bright light coming. I guess we should be careful not to think our dreams real.

Heheh, I thought my dream was real, I just woke up, but like in the middle of it, I knew I was dreaming but I couldn't wake up. I even tried flying, but I couldn't. It was wierd, it was like I was trapped in another dimension, since that's the only way I can describe it, without anyway to get out. ... I was so happy when I woke up today!! ;D
