I'm sorry for posting twice in a row, for some reason I can't modify my last post on this thread. *Thinks*
Anyway, what I was going to say, was if you don't celebrate Halloween as much, then what about Thanksgiving? Everyone seems to go right pass that holiday where I live. They go right from Halloween to Christmas it seems. But never the less, Halloween is still a holiday.

I really want that giant Yoshi plush for Christmas, but I'm afraid who to ask for it . Kind of an embarassing thing to ask for, and I don't have 60 dollars on me to buy it myself. I was 17 when I first asked my mom if she could get me a Yoshi plush for birthday/christmas... She didn't... 4 Years later, I bought my own off ebay. EBay rocks. This year, I will ask for a larger plush than the current as larger plush's are around £30-£40 on ebay. Thankfully, I have a way to combat your parents saying the 'I think you're a bit big now' sentence that they will usually come out with. Just say: "I don't want to grow up, being young is fun. beside's, they're for show, not touch. You collect teddy's don't you?" That alway's works. I've got friends to use it and it has worked 100% of the time. Try it out Teh Yoshi. If it (for some reason) doesn't work, put your foot down and write it in bold in your christmas list. I'm 20, and I still get asked to do christmas lists.

Haha, my family sure as heck knows. xD Heh, I remember when I hoped for a scanner for Christmas... I want a Yoshi plushie, too. Maybe a GC game and probably clothes. There's not much I really want this year.

Hahaha, yeah. My parents, for some oddball reason, DEMANDS a Christmas list from us (which I'm not exactly complaining about , but I think it's just a bit weird at the same time). That 60 dollar Yoshi plushie will be at the top of my list (most likely at the bottom at the same time since I never write much on my list, anyway, if you know what I mean).

The reason's my mom demands a christmas list is because no-one in our family know's what I wan't, so the christmas list get's shown to all the family members and they all decide what to get. My list alway's comprises of 10 or more item's, usually at the top a games console but I already have all the current consoles, so i'm baffled as to what I wan't this year. I know i'm getting the DS on day of release with the new Yoshi game that's supposedly coming out on that day too, Yoshi's Touch and go (Supposed Yoshi's island 2). I think this year's the time to ask for a widescreen tv I think...

XD Actually I dont like being spoiled. It isnt fun when you ask for something once and actually get it on the first try. Its better when you ask a million times until your parents give up and get you what you want.

I'll no doubt get jack-all again, lmao. Ditto Nintendo DS could had been a possibility since it will be out soon.. but that's not the case over here in the UK >_< Gotta wait 'til late spring/early summer next year.. too long a wait.. Babybowser: Shouldn't you have left this topic for at least another month? Christmas is still a bit too far off to think about..

That could be a bit risky.
At the minute, GB, GBC and GBA games are all universal. You can play any game from anywhere on any Gameboy from anywhere. No "territoral lockouts" and no PAL/NTSC issues like with consoles or DVD's.
With the DS, no one knows yet if lockouts will be in place or not. Maybe European DS games will work on a US DS, maybe they won't. Maybe the console will need to be modded like a PS2 or 'switched' like the Sega Mega-Drive (Genesis for those not in either Europe or Japan). It also need a US power supply converter... the standard UK power voltage is double that of the US, so if its not put through a proper converter, boom, you've got a fried DS on you hands. So that's the technical side.
The other thing is more basic like a warranty. If it arrives faulty, or breaks, you can't take the console to Nintendo Europe and ask for support or a new one. And shipping them back to the US is both risky and expensive.
Anyway, the DS hasn't been given a official European release date at all yet, so it could be a lot earlier than late spring or summer. March would be a good bet off-hand.
As for Christmas. The parents say I've been too old to get presents for a couple of years now, lol. Probably some big Toblerone bars and maybe enough money to buy a game.
