I made it brighter so it looks better.Despite the loss of my hand-eye coordination, I'm still pretty talented at painting words onto grains of rice.

I'm still not really seing where this "shading" is, its just looking like you just drew lighter parts around the edges. Because of that, the whole image just looks totally flat but with the odd raised edge here and there..

Its intended to help people improve, which is more helpful than just throwing praise at everything that gets posted in here regardless of what it is. |

Agreed, and I think we can all rejoice a little bit that Kasen won't be whining all over at least, though it always is annoying when someone freaks out like that and leaves, if you can't take something not even directed at you well, then good riddance...
And Moshi, perhaps you could improve the shading by adding more of a darker shade where you want the shading, it's interesting what you did with the lines, but can't be called shading, really. It's still nifty overall! Though I liked how you drew them in 'Nino and Nina' better.

Sanitary and delicious. Saying that everyone is being mean is very subjective. You have to give specifics on generalizations like those, it has to be more than "a feeling." It's reasonable to assume that people are looking for critiques unless they state otherwise- other people are leaving because there are nothing but praises. Your reasoning makes it lose-lose for the people on this board. There's a cliche that goes "Be the change you want to see in the world." You may have heard it before and dismissed it as something of little value, but the underlying thoughts are valid. It's one thing to whine about everyone being mean. It's another to figure out how they're being mean, why you see it that way, why others may not see it that way, figuring out an acceptable solution and then doing something to solve it. I think it's an excellent picture. Those who run away from problems instead of working to fix them are of no consequence. |

And kasen is NOT whiny she is just concerned about others feelings and sticks up for people. and this forum isnt so nice and crap anymore. I liked the shading. All it needs is some more darker shades and more tones but it doesn't look THAT flat. But you didn't need to critique so harshly. I mean what if it was someone who can't take critisism? They would be heart broken. But luckily it didn't bother Moshi. and BTW Kasen is my best freind so do your research before typing something so insulting. I am just trying to stick up for my freind! |
