My interest in Yoshi started with Mario Kart 64. Back then, I didn't really care for people, and was much more interested in animals and such. And Yoshi isn't human, and he's cute, and he was better than Donkey Kong and Bowser so, there you have it.

Of where i begin? Aww.. when i was only a "child" XD i was playing Super Mario world in that stupid SNES. Well.. you know.. Yoshi arose from the egg and teh fat-ass of Mario jumps on Yoshi and... well.. they . walk? XD err... i thought Yoshi was a childwood dinasour that Eat and Eat and never got fat. Well, and i Played Yoshi Island (SNES too) and , again that dinasour. Again Happyness and that. Oh well. Another stupid story. A dinosaur doing baby-sitting? Wow.
Yeah... a lot of years has passed. Well.. i was depressed. so, i was thinking in happy things to... well.. make me more happy. I remembered That Happy dinosaur. So, Yoshi make me happy. Is that the simple reason. Yoshi MAKES ME HAPPY ^^

Yay, I'm not the only one who used to pretend I was a yoshi! XD I'd say it was based on a game, but when I was younger my brothers owned the games and never would let me play. <:'D I was aaalways outside playing. But my two best friends in Kindergarten (both boys, oddly enough) decided one day that it would be cool to pretend we were yoshies. I had seen him before on my brother's games, and enjoyed pretending to eat walking mushrooms and evil turtles, lol. At the time I didn't know anything about their powers really being affected by what they ate, so when my friends and I started making up our own yoshies I made mine with powers already (they were angry at first until they realised they could do it too XD). Thus Hot Pink Yoshi was born, she controlled fire. That was my first real yoshi character XD Then shortly after I created Coral, she had the fin tail of a mermaid but legs so she could walk OR swim. I eventually made up a whole slew of yoshi characters, including male counterparts to every female yoshi I made (Hot Pink's was Lava Yoshi, Coral's was Pacific Ocean Yoshi, lol). I used to get everyone I met to play this game with me, and I spoke about all of those characters as if they were really part of the series. I'd tell them which characters they could choose to play and what their powers were and how they were related... I was too imaginative and bossy, I guess. XD I stopped playing like I was a yoshi when I was about 14, the last time I ever did that was with a younger cousin who was bored. I think about 1998 I found the Cutest Little Yoshi Page, or maybe it was '99. I was so infatuated with Luna's artwork, and I used to print out the pictures of the yoshies and tell people "this is Hot Pink Yoshi" and "this is Coral but she forgot to draw her fin tail" rotfl. ...I was 12, shh. ; I used to go to her website all the time, I even e-mailed her a couple of times and submitted art to her contests and what not. I saved every e-mail she replied to and would brag to my friends, I was such a dork! I called myself Pacifica Yoshi (since Coral seemed so plain) when I was e-mailing her, but I did reply to Sparkle's old guestbook with the name Fawntina Yoshi, lol. May 23rd, 2000 I magically noticed a link to the original Yoshi Aurorium forum and that was when I decided to use the name Coral, because I saw no one else had it yet. :3 The rest is history! Also I talk too much at 3 am, I'm sorry. XD Oh now I remember what I was going to say before I got carried away XD They had a really nice Yoshi & Boshi comic up, where the pair entered a cave and came across a dragon, and Yoshi almost ended up getting eaten! Then he made a compromise with the dragon, and it instead went off to attack a nearby village, and... it stopped there, sadly. I loooved that comic, that was one of Luna's early works XD It's still on her website if you want to see it again! She never finished it unfortunately. I've always wondered what was going to happen, maybe I can talk her into telling me XD

Hmm, I was always interested in the Mario games since I was 3, I played all of the Mario Bros. games. I always liked Luigi, he was my favorite character. When I went to my cousin's house years later, (well he's not my cousin anymore, long story) I played Super Mario World and loved it, but I never really noticed Yoshi as anything but useful. Then, we got a Nintendo 64, I told my brother that our first game was going to be Mario Kart, but it wasn't at the store, so we got Yoshi's Story. I liked it a lot, it was the first game I ever beat. (I think I was 6) Later, however, we DID get Mario Kart and that became my new obsession. I went back to liking Luigi, again. But later I found that I played better as Yoshi, so I used him. I grew to like him more and more until, one day, my cousin gave me his old SNES. I somehow later got my hands on Yoshi's Island and coudn't stop playing it. By the time Mario Party and Smash Bros rolled around, I was playing as Yoshi in everything. I didn't really call myself a "fan" until I saw YoshiArt.com in 7th Grade. Wow, would I be a totally different person if I had gotten Mario Kart 64, first? Or would things have still turned out the same? hmmm...

Hmm, yoshi... I dunno I always love dinosaurs and he was an adorable one, I also loev anything scaley and yoshi could be caley. For Kara I just combined 2 thing I love and I got her but yoshi was probably started with the game and then the cartoon. Of course what really got me into yosho's was Jelly Belly and Yoshi's corner.

Oh boy, where do I start.... ? Okay, I've always loved Yoshi. His cuteness, his voice, his happy personality,Yoshi's Story, his cute games and overally, I liked to use him In Mario Party the most cause Yoshi was so cute. i also liked using him the most in Mario Kart 64 because he was cool, cute, and had the best car. Not heavy, and good acceleration and speed. Yoshi was always cool to me, and I love the name Yoshi, and want to name my kid that someday. ;D And he's just so adorable and the fact that there's so many sites and forums dedicated to him made me perserve my love for Yoshi, starting with DA,YAF, Yoshiart.com,and then when I finally found it,here. And how I came to love Yoshi even more was partly due to those four sites and sub-sites, but how I originally found all those sites is a differfent matter, I was on Youtube, and I decided I wanyed to find out if there used to be a cartoon or something, because when I was little i remember my aunt saying that Super Mario World, and Super Mario Bros 3, along with the anime movie and comics, Super Mario Adventures, used to air on PAX network, and that the comics used to be distributed and produced on the market. (I think it was the 80's, when the games were coming out, and SMW in the early 90's). I started watching them and I realized that Yoshi was so cute and he was so adorable. I loved his personality and his cuteness and his cute voice ^^. And the I saw the "Yoshiart.com" logo at the corner of the video, and I decided to go there. But Yoshi's cuteness, voice.personality, and practically everything else about Yoshi lead me here, where I discovered a bunch of other Yoshi lovers. He's also my best in all three Super Smash Bros title, and he's by far my favourite in SSBB. ;D I love You Yoshi!!!! ^^

I don't remember what got me interested in Yoshi exactly, but I know I've always loved him since I first played SMW2:YI way back in '95. There's just something about that little green dinosaur that just makes him so amazing, the way he faces enemies 10 times his size, yet he always seems happy. And then there's his ability to do anything and everything with an egg, his amazing flutter jump, and just his happy and laid back personality in general. I know my world would be a lot less bright without him. I only recently discovered the Yoshi fan community, because I've never met another true Yoshi/Nintendo/Yoshi fan in real life, but I'm so glad I found people who love Yoshi as much as I do. I love Yoshi, and I always will, for he always fills me with joy.
