(Note: I think there is another topic about this already, but there were only two comments and I thought I'd bring it back to life since the game's coming out on the 18th. LEVEL UP ! ! They're airing a special movie on CN Yes. on the 8th by the way.) I didn't care about Pokémon and I didn't care much for that game at first, but when I picked up the latest issue of NP, they had a short comic in it about the game, so I thought, "What the heck." I read it and everything and found out that there were just Pokèmon and no people. I read the full article and read that it was a real time strategy game, which I've been interested in ever since I played one of the Shining Force games. It has Wi-fi compatibilities for the DS version. So that'll be helpful if your stuck in a battle(you can call your friend in and they can help out). So it says in the article. The part I really like is that there aren't any trainers. Just Pokèmon. I have it reserved already(the blue version, for the DS). But I'm kinda mad that they said I'd get a free guide when I put a deposit down on it, and they didn't have any yet. I've been calling and they still haven't got any in. But I'll wait. So, I'm hoping it's what I think it is.

Yeah, I saw the commercial for the show on Cartoon Network, but I didn't know there was going to be a game.
This sounds pretty spiffin', actually. Too bad I don't own a DS. D:

Another thing I forgot about is, when you go in a dungeon, the maps are randomly regenerated every time. So that'll be way more challenging. >:]

Yeah, and when you start the game. apparently you are asked a series of questions... after that you start out as the Pokemon that matches your personality according to your answers... I hear there are 15 possibilities, and of course the 9 starters are there, but I wonder who the others are... I hope Moewth is one! :3

This is honestly one of the first Pokemon titles I've really wanted for a long while.. ^^'; But then again, that's mostly as it's a Fushigi no Dungeon/Mysterious Dungeon game, which, while I haven't really played any of them, I really like the idea of XD For anyone who may have played Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon or something like that, this will be a similar game..
At any rate, I'll likely get both versions just because I want to Double-scoop ice cream

Meowth, Pikachi, Mudkip, Eevee(I hope I get to have an Eevee as my character or a partner), Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Chickorita, Skitty, Cubone, Machop, Psyduck, Totadile, Treecko, Cyndaquil, and Torchic. O: 16 pokemon. But both versions have different pokemon out of those 16. I hope the one I get (Blue for the DS) had Eevee. ; ; I got the free mini guide after I put in a deposit for a reservation at GameStop. Go here if you wanna take the test. O: www.pokemonmysterydungeon.com(I got Charmander the majority of the time. [shadow=red,left,300]question: what time (EST) does the show start tomorrow? I might get a friend to record it for me.... and I read the guide comes out at the same time as the game....
And I agree with "Snow", except this is one of the ONLY Pokemon games I've ever wanted... well, other than Pokemon Channel, that is... there was a comic in NP?[/shadow]

Oh, here's something cool. I finally read the full mini guide that I got and near the end it told us that you could get someone that has the version that you dont and get the pokemon off their version. Like you have the blue version and you want a pokemon that isn't available in the blue version. Ill just type what it says in the book; Have you come across a Peliper mission in your mailbox or on the bulletin board that is too cool to keep to yourself? You can just jot down the Wonder Mail code Before you send it off to your friend. If the Wonder Mail you send contains a Pokèmon that your pal can't catch natively in his or her version of the game, after he or she completes the mission, that Pokèmon will begin to appear randomly in their game.
So you can give someone a code and they can put it in to play that mission. When they do, after they beat that mission, the pokemon that they fought or that they saved (im not sure which) in that particular dungeon will randomly appear in the dungeons on the rest of the rescue missions they go on. Also, you can have a friend come over and save you if your in trouble in a battle. (that would help because if you lose, you lose all your items and money and stuff.) And on the DS version, you can enter something called a Tag mode better known as the Unknown Dungeon, close your DS, and pass by other players that have their game with them and youll recieve cool stuff. Or something. You can also battle your friends. So this game is VERY interactive by the looks of it. And I hope I didn't confuse anyone by trying to explain stuff. ¬¬

Hmm... "Mystery Dungeon"... I wonder how similar it'll be to "Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon"... it's already got the randomly-generated levels going for it...

Probably. They might've ripped it off of a game that wasn't too popular so they could get away with it. Just like they did with Tetris Attack off of Panel de Pon, and Super Mario Bros 2 (American version) Off of...doki doki panic I think...I cant remember the name. I hope that's not the case. Otherwise that'll REALLY dissapoint me.

It should be very similar, as I believe the folks at Chunsoft, who did Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon and every other Fushigi no Dungeon game, were the ones behind both of these titles.. No rip-offs are involved, however =D
Speaking of, Tetris Attack was merely localised differently than Panel de Pon, and SMB USA was localised from Doki Doki Panic to be a Mario game; all of them were originally published by Nintendo

Yay. I got it too. Yesterday. Double-scoop ice cream It was SOOOO cool! I saved my friend from a dungeon. I didn't think it would work that way but it did. She gave me the password and I saved her. Woot. O: Charmander ftw. This game rocks. I give it a 9.6/10. I'm writing a review later, hopefully.
