Just thought i'd make a topic on everybody's favorite song or theme from a game they liked,
mine are :
world theme from final fantasy 2
song from the level "tier drops" in duke3d
battle victory from final fantasy 2/3
These are my favorites, feel free to list yours if you want.

fountain of dreams song is my favorite super smash bro melee song too....i also love all zelda songs....final fantasy 7 battle theme and boss theme.....classic mario brothers song.....oh oh oh the beginning song too final fantasy crystal chronicles is probably the best

FF5 Overworld, all of them FF6 Overworld, both of them The FF Fanfare (GODLY SONG.) The FF Prologue (*Cries* I LOVE THIS SONG TO DEATH!) FF4 Battle Theme (Such a Happy UpBeat Tune!) FF5 Boss (I loved this one Particularily) FF6 Celes's Theme FF6 ...God, every song form FF6. FF4 When Cecil... Changes. Dire, Dire Docks. Whenever I play that on the piano, nobody believes it's from a video game at all. Oh wow! I'd love to hear that! My favorites (I guess I'll try some kind of chronological order): - Super Mario Bros.: The Theme (The Super Mario Bros. Theme)
- Excitebike theme(funny)
- Super Mario Bros 3: Ending both parts (the first part was originally from Super Mario Bros. although I didn't hear it until later)
- Summer Games: Main theme
- Super Mario World: Main theme (also looooove it in Super Mario RPG, expecially slowed down)
- Yoshi's Island: Game opening
- Yoshi's Island: pregame practice (that fast ah ah ah ah ah ah ah… that alternates pitch)
- Yoshi's Island: practically all of the in game music (except for the castles)
- Yoshi's Island: Baby Mario's Invincible Music (That is a very favorite — I was disappointed with that music in RPG)
- Super Mario Land: one of the stage themes? (only heard it on a train, suspected SML, then actually found a site with a preview of the theme (yay! so I do know which game it's from)
- Super Mario RPG: Bowser's castle (also liked it in SMB3 (battle with Bowser)
- Super Mario RPG: Battle music
- Super Mario RPG: Nimbusland (Really love it, and love it played backwards too! )
- Super Mario RPG: Music that plays in Bean Valley (and other locations, it might first play on road to the Mushroom Kingdom from Mario's Pad)
- Yoshi's Story: the slower music with the tower
- Super Mario 64: Dire, Dire Docks
- Mario Party: Rainbow Castle (a current favorite I listen to a lot!)
There are many I didn't mention; I guess because they're not really favorite. |

I didn't think about it a lot, so I'll tell some from the mario games a really like: First and third level of every world in super mario bros 1 but I like the SML 1st level music even more. You all like videogame music, huh? I think VGMusic is just the site your'e looking for. |

Oh, gee...we have to pick one? n__n* Too many to name, but I'll do a few...
- DKC 2: Most of the songs, but Stickerbrush Symphoney the mostest! ^o^
- Super Mario Kart: Again, most of the songs, but Rainbow Road circuit the most.
- Yoshi's Island: The Baby Mario Invincibility tune. (^O^)
- Yoshi's Cookie: Music C!
- Super Mario 64: Dire Dire Docks
- Super Monkey Ball 2: Mostly all of it. Carnival theme is great. n_n
- Mario Kart: DD!!: The snow circuit tune.
And probably my favourite videogame music of all...
- Zelda: Ocarina of Time: The Forest Temple music. GODLEH! *worships* ;D
And probably a heap more, but they escape me at the minute....
My god! Me and my sis played that during the day...*wipes away a tear* We ruled at that game. n_n

i just rememberd 3 other themes that i liked aswell, gameboy horror on luigi's mansion and the hyrule temple theme and hit the targets theme on ssbm

Hmm...
I like the games I've heard done by Yoko Shimomura (Mario RPG, Legend of Mana, Mario & Luigi), and things done by Koji Kondo (Main Mario composer), with an emphasis on the ending song from Yoshi's Island.
Lessee... Castlevania music (favorite being Symphony of the Night)... the music from Kirby 64... and a lot of 8/16-bit stuff that no one will have heard of (Golvillius, Wonder Boy III: the Dragon's Trap, Dynamite Headdy, Gunstar Heroes.)
Yeh. I put a lot of value on a game's music. For me, it comes somewhere after gameplay and before graphics...

Oh, I forgot to mention, I pretty much love all the music from the Banjo-Kazooie series and the Donkey Kong Country games on SNES. Rare is bloody genius!

Oh yeah! I love ALL of the songs on Yoshi's Island! They're just different from all the other Mario game music. Ever since then, I've always payed attention to a video game's music

Actually i like all the somgs from Castlevania Symphony of the night!!! They are the best!!! (but Lost painting is ubove) I also like Wondering Ghosts. and the one from the Alchemy lab, Isnt that one Wondering Ghosts? I forget!  NO!! wait its Dance of the pales! Not wondering ghosts the one i like! Geez i forget and also the little bit in the beginning of Yoshi's Island. I love the tropical feel to it! |

I love it to death. But it's not quite as Good as the Stickerbrush Symphony... I've loved that song forever, and I"m often listening to it's SPC. |

Hmmmm...I think my 10 favorite game tunes are: Zelda: The Windwaker - Farewell Hyrule King Zelda: Majoras Mask - Clock Tower (Song of Healing) Terranigma - Credits (Oh gosh...this song is so beautiful!) Yoshis Island - Credits (One of my alltime fovorites  ) Mystikal Ninja: Starring Goemon - The last castle Super Mario Kart - Rainbow Road (Hmmm...I think I like all Mario Kart Rainbow road tunes... ;D) Almost all F-Zero tunes! Super Metroid - Escape Starfox Adventures - Credits Eternal Darkness - Karims Chapter That should be it...I have many many more....but I cant add all my favorite tunes here...the list would be too long...hehe *Glances over to Koshizu and 00Yoshi...hehe ) |

I have... too many to list. I have a playlis in Winamp... its bordering on close to 300 songs  I'll always love the Perfect Dark soundtrack though, and MEtroid Prime... I really like the style they were done in  |
