I visited a Pokemon forum quite recently (well, yesterday in fact) and saw a thread about Pokemon nicknames. People were posting their Pokemon's names, and my god. I was gobsmacked at all the terrible names that they gave them! n__n* Now, I know, pokemon nicknames are what you want to call them, and I have nothing against that, but really...could they have thought of something a little original? <=S Example; Pikachu - Sparkey, Jolt, Jolty, Spark, Thunder...anything electrical basically. n_n* I'd give mine an official name you know? Something like...Bob. Lol! No, I was thinking of nicknaming my Raichu Paris, because she likes wearing a scarf and entering Beauty Contests. I'd never name it...Chu, or Sparky...n_n* Thats like naming a hamster...Furry. Or Rodent. XD And they were so many people who had named their pokemon just by adding a 'y' on the end of their names. Spindy, Amphy, Zubatty...I really fail to see the point. n_n* Ok, I'm getting into this waaay too much. *hides behind a cushion* |

To tell the truth, I was considering getting a Raichu and naming it Robert. The names I choose are all ones with some background on me, like Graedius, Ketsife, Hinoarashi... I don't like the term "NickName"... it's not their Nickname, it's their NAME. |

Ya, I called my Lickitung Yuriy. Hes Russian...hehe....n_n Smickery...thats just a god of a name in its own right. XD  "Dilly" is a god of a name. I have a Larviatar (Who will forever remain that way) on my sub team, which also consist of 6 PK's.His name was Dilly ever since I first laid eyes on him. |

I like them (Dilly and Hinoarashi) too much as they are... they wouldn't be the same if they were fully evolved... more powerful they may be, but I'd sacrifice power for their true beauty. |

True...true. I don't half get ridiculed because I have a level 100 Meowth. I can't help it...I love the little critter too much for him to evolve. ^o^ Plus, hes a guy, and guy Persians....well, I never thought Persians looked like guys. n_n*

True...true. I don't half get ridiculed because I have a level 100 Meowth. I can't help it...I love the little critter too much for him to evolve. ^o^ Plus, hes a guy, and guy Persians....well, I never thought Persians looked like guys. n_n*  Yeah, just like Milotic, Chansey, Clefiary... how do you get males of those? And how do you get female Haunters, Mr. Mimes, and Hitmonchan/lee/tops? |

to get a mr. mime female on silver version buy it with the gambling coins.( i forgot the name)I called my typhlosian Fisty because i messed up when i was nick naming it. I just got used to it before i got to change his name.heehee. (Just thought i would say.)

I always pick names with meanings and care behind them. Of course, I always name my starter "Wretch" because I hate them all (Except Cyndaquil, but I never got mine via starting of the game.) and release them as soon as I can sustain the loss. |

Hehe...well, do Persians look more female or male?! n__n* I guess it depends on how you look at them...<=] I always thought they looked feminine.  * All this nicknaming talk made me dust off my ol' Silver cart and fire it up again...and start a new team. n_n So far, I gots; Kai - Nidoking (Male) Erm...three guesses where his name and personality came from? n_n* Hes my angsty, powerful, loner type team member. Hates being around the rest of my team, and likes to think of himself as the most powerful and mature of them all. Which, he probably is, although theres no point in telling him that...unless you wish to be told very bluntly that 'he knows'. He cares about his friends deep, DEEP down, and he can be very caring if the time comes. But he hides his emotionally-detatched state under his tough guy image. My first Pokemon to reach level 100, he has a special place in my heart. n_n Suki - Chansey (Female) The warm, caring, and most hospitable member of the group, Suki always puts and thinks of others before herself. She likes thinking optimistically, and its quite hard to be sad around her. She is very nice and loving, and is the carer of the team. She tries to be practical, but knows how to have fun at the same time. n_n Yuriy - Lickitung (Male) Yuiry is originally a gift from Russia, and hes very much the music and dancing obsessed member of my squad. He likes to have fun, and gives it his all in battle. He's rarely seen without his headphones and walkman, and likes to take his music into battle, so he can time moves with rhythm. A bit of a stereotypical good guy, he likes to make friends and have a good time. More often than not, he garners a crowd together to watch and eventually join in with his dancing too. Much to the embarrassment of Kai...=] Morimu - Gengar (Male) The practical joker. Typically. n_n Hes not the kind of joker, on a nasty level, more of hes a witty type of guy. Hes usually seen having the last word in, and likes to tease people and Pokemon with his Ghost-like abilities, although he tones his banter down when around the rest of the team. Most of the time, hes seen trying to take Yuriy's walkman whilst hes not looking, but in battle he is quite agile, and sometimes teases the opposition. A nice Pokemon once you get to know him, and the comedy of the team. n_n Paris - Raichu (Female) Paris is the girl-girl of the group. She can be distinguished by her silk scarf-necktie, and is a very pretty Pokemon, despite not being overly into her looks at all. A bit of a fashion fan, she dreams of one day there being a Pokemon fashion line, or at least turning into a human so she can wear clothes. Noone really understands why, except for herself. This is a bit of a pipe-dream for her though, so she usually doesn't go into it. Instead, she is thankful that she is part of my team, and friends with all the others. Mostly seen talking with Suki, or clambering around on Orion, she seems alot younger than she actually is. But when she is serious, she takes a very adult and grown up view on things, and can usually be there when another team member is down or distraught. Most male Pokemon can become a little infatuated by her presence, but she doesn't really care so much for a partner. She does, however, enjoy whispering to Kai about how he doesn't have a parnter, and whether he'll ever get one? n_n Orion - Porygon (Shiny)(Male) Orion is the largest (aside from Kai) of the team, and is a Pokemon of very little words. He gestures most of his words by action, and is more often than not seen with a genki ( ^ ^ ) happy face, usually accompanied by the spinning of his feet. A special member of the group, he is the only Shiny Pokemon, and also the only one big enough to be capable of transporting myself and the rest of the team through air, or even my means of teleportation. He doesn't like battling on his own much, but he loves being in a tag-team match. Then he can be more of a help to the others in versus battles. Nothing makes him more happy to know that hes helped others, and he is a kind and overall friendly kinda guy. He is also sometimes seen scaring Pokemon alongside Morimu, a he can disconfigure and be taken apart. It is actually quite funny seeing a Gengar running around with a Porygon head screaming 'MORI-MORI!' XD And so ends my team...very unimaginitive. n__n* |
