That's where my dislike comes in. I don't lkike Pokémon that look like totally Sentient beings, like Alakazam, Hitmonchan/lee/top, Gardevoir, Mr. Mime etc... It doesn't seem right to be commanding a perfectly Sentient being that is is some cases larger than you and easily more powerful than you around all the time.

i always thought of it having to be much more of a partners' relations ship then that of master and slave with the more pwerful pokemon. Becauase on the series u never had the really single-minded people owning the pokemon like hypno and mr. mime.

But it's not really a true relationship, when one side has no say on what goes on... they were forced outo f their live,s their natural habitat, to fight for you endlessly and mercilessly...

Actually, I think Digimon had a much better example of friendship in it. But thats just my two cents. n__n* I always preffered Digimon to Pokemon in terms of movies, monsters, and stuff, but Pokemon ultimately has the better games. <=] So its a bit of a divide...

i mean with the powerful sentient pokemon its really a friendship-not a pet-master relationshhip. Its rather a trainer type thing. And-have YOU ever seen hypno in a pokeball?!?

No but it looks like it would be a bit of a sqweeze tho getting in side that pokéball! There would be no squeeze involved, lass. They get turned into 100% pure energy and transfered into a ball where there's 100% efficient mirrors (Both impossible as of now, 100% efficient mirrors totally impossible), and are returned to their normal state upon exit. During the time that they are converted into energy, they are totally unconcious, and so know nothing about it. They're only concious when in their form outside of the ball.
