I have Emerald already. Go figure. 
And I think the Diamond you're thinking is the GameBoy Color one, which was paired with Jade.
The more recent Diamond is supposedly for DS, and IS legal, and is paired with PEARL, and has the FOURTH, not FAKE, generation.
