Just a thought here... some people here might like an RP more on the "serious" side of things (me, for one) , instead of just come casual thing., like the ones that are active now.
To get an idea of what I mean, read through the Y2 RP that was active a while back. (read it anyway, its very good.) Just incase some one wants one of these types of RPs, just state yer interest here, and maybe we can come up with some ideas for it.

Hmm...ah yeah, I do agree. Where to start, though...
You could try sci-fi. That's serious stuff. Blast the Yoshies off into space, because...I don't know.
At any rate, to have a serious RP, you'd have to have serious people and chars, too. Just throwing up ideas...

A Fantasy RPG would be nice too. Or you could pick out a fiction that you've made and just RP that.

Sci-fi sounds like it could be promising... That could give us a lot more slack in doing stuff, instead of being limited to one time period. would be more promising if I could think of some ideas  |

Ideas for a sci-fi? Err...say, maybe, a distant (or not) planet is under attack and requests back-up? Nahh...or Bowser goes sci-fi (gets his own fleet of ships, builds bases, etc.), and the Yoshies try to stop him...

Yeah, a highly trained group of Yoshis are going to stop him. For example; Yoshata can be the pilot for the dropship, Tek will be the one with the brains.. etc etc etc!

I had an idea similar, here what l thought: BabyBowser(the one on the forum)uses koopas magic to go back in time to plunge yoshi's into darkness and rule yoshi's island, but a group of yoshi's (us well duh) Follow the trail to bowser castle and follow him by eating a tulip and going through the portal. There first destination is when Yoshi's Story started(And yes not all of us were born by then  ) Some of the yoshi's know a shortcut. They look under a stone and see mario's pipe to bowser's castle..And so on you know what will hapen. Secondly they end up in another dimension(Boshi will like this) Boshi's Island! They find that bowser ( the male one of there time is in prison) And Babybowser tries to save him and stuff happens. The final world is the bad futue where yoshi's island was destroyed into tiny island and Bowser's Castle was like a fortress which had lasers and such...And bowser had a robotic suit will special gadgets and was much tougher... Then the end...Wot will happen? |

Hmm, had a random idea, while at work earlier...
some time travel thing (hopefully without the added confusion that normally comes with temporal junk) Long in the future, a small group goes out, rights past wrongs, etc etc etc and so on.

Hum...note to Blue-Yoshi's idea: you can't outline the plot of an RP, only give the main threat or idea and the gist of what people'll do.
Both the time-travel and the sci-fi ideas sound ubercool. Why pick just one of them?

The time travel would most likely be set mostly in a future period. NAtch, it would also let you go to other time periods too.
So... a possible plot with this, any ideas?

Time-travel plot...hmm...what if there was a creature burrowed underground that's supposed to destroy the world in the future, and we try to stop it at different times-oh wait, that's Chrono Trigger's plot. |

Hmmm...
several years into the future, time travel is developed.
Some people use it purely for research, and follow a strict code of conduct in its use.
Others, use it any way they want, not caring for the consequences, and use it purely for their own gain.
A small squad of people set out, to prevent changes in the timeline, and to undo any effects that these bad guys have inserted into the timeline.
How about that?
