"Now, gold has a kind of melony smell and silver has the scent of celery." I sniffed a bit around. "Sniff that?" I said sniffing the air. "Kind of a cherry strawberry smell, a ruby!"

"Mmm... strawberries..." I was really hungry now. "Let's find that ruby!" I sniffed, swinging my head around to find the direction of the smell. "It's coming from that way." I looked west.

Something woke me up...I looked and saw Shadow. The main reason we went on this quest...I was ready to bite him. Then I thought, my thoughts aren't that private. I felt a hand in my mind gathering my thoughts. "OUT OF MY HEAD!!" I said spewing a little fire at the annoying little guy. The hand released itself, he was no longer reading my mind. But I sware, the feeling came back and that started angering me. I imagined in front of me a solid, carefully, brick by brick made wall. I only felt my own head then. What's up with my thoughts? I thought, going back to a restful state, but still aware of something trying to read my mind.

Oh...it's you Yoshee. It felt like shadow was trying to grasp my mind. Maybe he's getting to mine through yours? I'll stop blocking. I let my guard down as I felt the brick mind shield crumble. My head felt opened and exposed. I still felt like...if not shadow...something else was reaching me. Through thought, I transmitted, What about Red? He still hasn't returned and nor has Kara from Australia. And since Australia no longer has an emerald, I can no longer locate it. How are we going to get Red to a Yoshi's Island hospital? He can't walk in human lands.

Quite a predicament, I thought back. We could somehow convince Kara to take Red with us. Us Yoshies are getting pretty used to having dragons around, I guess.

I sent back: Yoshee...I think Shadow read our thoughts. We should try to keep them more private. The loon... How can he GO to Australia on foot, convince something thirty times his size, and return walking across water, to Yoshi's Island? That guy really doesn't think. We could try to beat him to Kara? Our wing power easily outspeed him.

kara stayed with red making sure he was comphy as could be, she stood watch over him and roasting anything that got near, she was going to protect red no matter what
