"A shoe from a brand new pair (evening shoe), A plastic bracelet, Diamond ring (somehow re-appeared in a bowl of soup), powder compact, Lipstick, Stethoscope, Ear-rings (low quality), Lighter, Old flannel trousers, Light bulbs, Chocolates, Silk scarf (showed up cut in pieces), Rucksack (diced like finger food) Boraic powder, Bath salts... and a cook book." I read. "Wierd tastes, these robbers have..." I muttered.

"Right now, we only have a few peices." It wasn't exactly like solving a puzzle. It was more like solving a puzzle without the box and upside down right now. "We need more clues. Let's split up and search for now, then come back when we find a few things." I suggested, standing up.

OOC: AHA!! Found it!
As the two set off, I interviewed Mrs. Hubbard a bit, "What intrigues me is, why was such random things stolen? Could it be some fixed idea? Is there any system behind it? The first thing is to study the list," I said looking at it attentively. "The first thing that hits me, is why would things of such little value- except the ring and scope- be stolen? Leaving the scope aside for a minute, just how valuable was this ring?" She took a deep breath, "I'm not sure, it was just a simple ring, it had been Miss Lane's engagement ring. She was devastated when it was lost and relieved when it was found. We believed it was just a nasty joke." I thought, then I answered, "And so it may have been, but I consider that significant. If just light bulbs or chocolates are missing, it is not enough to call the police, but a valuable ring is, and so it was returned. But why take if you are going to return it?"

"Who exactly is this, Miss Lane?" I asked Mrs. Hubbard. "Patricia Lane? She's a good girl, she's trying to get a diploma in archaeology or something of the sorts," she said grabbing a sandwich delicately. She continued, "The ring belonged to her mother, but she doesn't have many new clothes and she stopped smoking lately." "What is she like? Please describe." I responded. She said, "She's rather washed out looking and quite ladylike, but not much life to her. An earnest type of person." I spoke then, "And the ring turned up in Miss Hobhouses plate of soup, who is this Hobhouse?" She responded quickly, "Valerie? She's a dark girl with a sarcastic way of speaking, she works in a beuty parlour."

"Huh. Strange." I said, hearing Teo and Mrs. Hubbard talk. "I'll search one of the abovefloors." I started towards the stairs.
EDIT: Does that work better?

"If I could just come up with a quick hypothesis...I believe I have something here! Not to frighten you,Ms. Hubbard, but who would want to steal your seemingly useless items, but someone of your own blood?"she asked.

OOC: You can ask Mrs. Hubbard questions and I'll answer best I can, it might be useful to ask about others.

Mrs. Hubbard responded to midnight, "I'm not sure who would take these, and that's why you are here."
