Something Out of the Ordinary, More or Less...

[Maru-chan]

Salas yawned, his tail swishing back and forth softly. He sat at the edge of the docks in Rogueport, though, he seemed rather suspicious for staying out at night.

He turned, his gleaming amber eyes illuminating the darkness. "...is someone there...?" he asked, looking around. He shrugged, and returned to staring at his reflection in the water.

Lance, the middle child of the extremely bizzarre Pokko family, was the one noticed, leaning against the wall, watching Salas, he was pretty much human, flipping a coin in his hand, and catching it, wondering wether he should just pick the pocket, or challenge the kid to a bet...

Salas looked up, turning around again. The sound of the coin clinking every few moments was hard to miss-- for him, at least. He stood up, spotting Lance in the darkness.

John was looking up at the sky,It was a normal day like any other,I was at Rougeport,Holding my 1 of my medium swords at my left hand,I stand up as i watch the sky,

Lance smirked, and caught the coin, pocketing it, "'ello kid you finally noticed me, eh?" he kicked off of the wall, "So, hows about a friendly bet, eh? A little wager, I find, is the best way to become friends."

[Maru-chan]

The moonlight reflected off of Salas's eyes. "...you're a gambler, huh?" he asked, crossing his arms and leaning back slightly.

He didn't seem to be entertained or excited in the least bit. "...Sorry. Gambling's not my thing. That, and I don't have any money."

[Johnyoshi]

I sigh,I grab my sword and put it back,and started walking and grab my bag as,I kept walking,someone was taking about a bet,But the other one refused,I lay down as I watch the skies again

Salas turned, spotting John.

Mmm? He has a sword... ...wait, is he one of The Hunters?

He turned back to Lance, examining his claws carefully. "I have no money, and I do not prefer gambling... though I do not mind fighting. I haven't faced a worthy opponent in a while..." his eyes gleamed, as did his claws.

[Not-Garr]

Lance quirked and eyebrow, a smirk crossing his face, "Well, you don't like gambling? Hm, a shame." he chuckled as Salas mentioned a fight, "Well, I suppose we could fight, if you really wanted to. Although, wouldn't that ruin a could-be friendship?" he smirked a bit, the moonlight glinting off of the hilt of one of his two daggers.

[Maru-chan]

"I... don't... know..." he replied softly, brushing a piece of hair behind one ear. "...Perhaps... it could be the start of one..." he smiled.

"...But... why didn't you run from me?" he asked. "...I'm... a monster..." his head hung, his tail falling limp.

[Not-Garr]

Lance quirked an eyebrow, and chuckled darkly, "If you didn't notice, pretty much everyone is a monster here, especially in Rogueport. I don't even think the word is applicable...I would say diverse." He smirked, walking towards Salas, "And, y'know? My brother has a tail, it's no big deal, he got his in a magical experiment gone wrong."

[Maru-chan]

Salas turned away. "...I've never been here before... but... the way you say it... it only makes me feel worse." he returned to sitting at the edge of the dock, looking at himself again. "...I hate looking like this. I don't know what I did to deserve this, either... it... it just happened..."

He sighed, scratching his head.

[Not-Garr]

Lance frowned, "That's really not how I meant it, kid. Besides, I doubt anyone actually thinks you're a monster, do they?" he walked towards Salas a bit more, "Heh, and if they do, so what? Screw 'em, I say."

[Maru-chan]

Salas was silent. The only thing heard was the occassional click of his claws on the wood. "...That's why I'm not home anymore. Because they said I was a monster. But even though I'm gone, I still have others who hunt me... they want me dead. Thankfully, I'm not always like this. When the sun rises, I'll return to my normal self..."

He sighed again, holding his head in his hands.

Lance hmmed, and leaned against the stone wall again, "Well, I'll have 'ya know, that Lance Pokko, that's me, does't give half a Goomba's face. What happened, that made you that way, anyway?"

[Maru-chan]

"I told you already-- I don't know. It just... happened." he replied, shrugging. "...I was with Onii-chan... we were going to deliver something to a friend of Mother's... and there was this man... I... can't remember his name... but Onii-chan had gone off without me, and I met up with the man... I... I don't know what happened..."

[Johnyoshi]

The Kid look at me for a second,Then he return taking to the other one,I Tighten my grip on my sword,Then I heard about he wanted a fight,"Hmmm a fight,That would help my but then,He just a kid..Guess not",I got up and grab a soda,and drank it

red buckled his great sword to his back, then hoped out of a tree. his dragon hoverd beside him. she was blue. he went running through the forest, as if escaping from someone or somthing. he came to a large old tree, and looked around. he saw no one. he knocked on the bark twice, and the soil benieth two roots gave way revealing a passage. he slid in, and the soil returned.
