Mixed Worlds RP

[Enrique]

Several people were late. I really want to get started soon. Ishathod sat at my feet initially; I eventually picked up and sat him on my head. I don't know why, but for some reason, he really likes sitting on my head. What a strange stingray he is sometimes... Yoshee entered and sat in the seat right next to me. I paid more attention to Ishathod and waiting on Jones however.

"Charshi. I'd rather y' call me Char, though." he finally felt like putting his foot down. "Uhh, hi, who're the rest of you?" A confused expression crossed his face as his gaze fell on Champ and Yoshee. "Don't I know you from somewhere? ...Nah, guess not."

[boomiester]

Jones checked off Charshi's name on the clipboard, "Charshi is here, ok," Jones looked around the room at everyone, then started again. "I see that you are all eager to know what this is about, so I'll explain." He paused to make sure they were listening, "Mixed worlds is a secret organization, set up by the major governments of many worlds. Our mission is to deal with disputes between worlds, and to remove threats against against them. All of you have been picked based on all of your records: school test scores, resumes, medical records, etc... and by our own and others observations of your activities. Some of your missions will be dangerous, even life threatening, and you will have to venture into unfamiliar territory, should you accept this responsibility, we will make it worthwhile, should you decline, you will have to have your short term memory erased, and you will be placed back at your home. Any questions?"

[charzhii]

"...Uh, I have a question!" Charshi waved his hand. "Pick me! Pick meee!" He jumped up and down, practically.

[boomiester]

Jones smiled, "yes Charshi?"

[charzhii]

He made a face, like he was grossed out. "D'you also watch us while we're in the bathroom or something? 'Cause that's just really sick..." a koopa passing by started to gag as he passed by, disappearing into an office. "I mean. Come on. You don't have to monitor us that closely!" Then Char waited to be smacked for his atrocious pun.

[Enrique]

Charshi's question cracked me up. "Good one, Char, good one." I think that just about made my day. Imagine, surveillance cameras in the toilet...

[charzhii]

A sneaky grin that could have rivaled Waluigi's sneer flitted across the hybrid's face for a second, but then he reagained composure and watched the indescribable expression on the man's face. He hoped he hadn't struck a nerve. "Sorry," he said sheepishly, toying with the cap bill of his hat. "Couldn't resist."

[boomiester]

Jones made a face that suggested he had been asked that very question before, then answered "no, we don't put cameras in bathrooms or anything of that nature, we don't want to see that. Now then, any other questions?"

[Enrique]

I had a small question. "Uh, yeah, I have a question. Is there any sort of documentation or anything of that nature we need to be familiar with?"

[boomiester]

"Oh yes Enrique, there is." Jones pressed a button on the underside of the table, which caused a section of the table in front of each person to flip, revealing a document and pen. "This paper states that you CANNOT tell anyone outside this building anything about Mixed worlds, remember, this is a secret organization, known only to the highest offices of the governments. On a side note, I'll explain a few rules for when you are on an actual mission. If you break a law by accident, or if it's required in order to complete an objective, Mixed worlds will usually be able to bail you out, but don't break any laws on purpose; we also advise you to keep collateral damage to a minimum."

[charzhii]

"Do we have to sign this? Is there some hidden thing that says something stupid, like we can't listen to Mindless Self Indulgence or something?" he poked it experimentally, tail twitching behind him, crackling a little with his life force. He fixed his glasses. It was in his nature to make lame jokes.

[Enrique]

After Jones stopped talking, I looked at the document that was in front of me. There were five pages. On four of them were guidelines of the organization. The other was the application. I started filling it out after finally looking through all the rules of the agency.

Jones looked annoyed by Charshi's jokes, but answered his questions anyway, "yes, you have to sign it, no, there are no hidden things in there, Mixed worlds doesn't have many restrictions, it's mostly, get the job done inconspicuously and that's it."

[charzhii]

He let off another grin. "Inconspicuous is my middle name. ...A'ight. Sure. I'll sign." the hybrid pored over the pages, and then wrote his name down in a neat signature down at the bottom, then, after pausing for a second, added a little '=P' face next to the corner of it. "There." he smacked the pen down, as if to make a point. "You got some serious firepower on your side, now! ...Pun intended..." Char winked at Jones. "I promise, my fighting skills aren't as bad as my jokes. You got my honor on that."

[Enrique]

With signing my name at the bottom, I finished filling the application. I handed the paper back to Jones. "So, I guess we should be ready to start soon. I know I am."

[Wildfire the Dragon]

"We're in!" We both said in unison.
"Oh, forgot to say, sorry about the lightning bolt thing. We weren't ourselves if you know what I mean..." Rob said in a low tone.

We both went up and signed Jay and Rob.

"Oh, a small question, can we use our own inventions?" Jay asked.

[boomiester]

Jones stacked the signed papers up, "when an emergency occurs, you will be alerted." He then turned to Jay and Rob, "by inventions I assume you mean, weapons and such right? if that's the case, go ahead, oh and also, should you need supplies or should you need accommodations for long missions, we can supply you with a Mixed worlds charge card, you will receive them on your first mission, when ever that happens."

Blood read the fine print of the contract, nodding as he read. Until finally putting the name, 'Sangre Yoshi' at the bottom, and turning the paper over to Jones. "So.. we don't have a mission yet?" Blood asked, rather dissappointed.

Jones added Blood's paper to the stack, "sorry, nothing yet, but I have a feeling something will come up soon."
