I didn't know what happened to be on the other side of that portal, but if... whoever sent us here had not killed us yet, that portal probably wouldn't, either. Don Tonberry just waited with the others. Don T: I hope they finish soon, or that portal might vanish or something...

" Great idea, EVERYONE GO TOWaRD THE PORTAL! WE CAN CONTINUE LATER!" Just as I finished saying it a larde grumbling noise came from behind me. " Hurry everyone get in the portal!" Everyone was trying, but the thing stood in front of it. " Now is the time, use your powers!" The thing had long needle like spikes, with the tail of a dragon and fangs like sharp sand paper. Smooth slimpery skin, smudged with green and brown. " NOW EVERYONE!"

A sphere of energy shot directly at the thing the blocked the portal. I kept the book opened and awaited the beast's response.

"Alright... Here goes nothing..." As he was directed, Enrique ran into the portal. He didn't know where this would lead him, but he figured that there couldn't be really anything extremely bad that could happen. On his way there, he noticed a creature blocking the portal. He tried to tackle the creature, since he didn't have any magical powers like the others did.

Don Tonberry then went up to the monster and used Chef's Knife. Buh-bye, monster!
Don T: OK, into the portal!
He then went into the portal after Vivi.

A few of the others had gone through the portal already. I decided this beast must be dealt with now. If we didn't attack it, it would without a doubt follow us through. We had to stop it now. I held out the book, and shouted another "Ze-Shidome attack>'' It didn't hurt it, though it looked mad now. It tried to attack. I was too slow to avoid the strike, and took the hit.

Don T: Just a sec! I gotta help Leo take out that fiend!
Don Tonberry went out of the portal and gave the monster a full-dose of Karma, then struck it with Chef's Cleaver. The beast burst into a bunch of stars.
Don T: We ready, Leo?

I simply sighed. "Now that that's overwith, I am, thank you. Let's get moving."
With that, I entered the portal, assuming that Don T. was behind myself. All the while, I was unaware of what lay ahead.

Don T: Maybe, but it used up a huge chunk of FP, and I can't attack for several hours.

I didn't heed the orders given and got into my battle stance to get rid of the monster. But before I could even swing my racquet, Don T. came back through and exploded the beast. I made a face. I would've gotten rid of it... I eventually got over it and hopped through the portal after my friends.
