! Y5: The Terrorist Conspiracy !
[DECEASED LIST] [Unplayable Characters]: (we only killed these staff members to add drama, and because most of these characters aren't normally used for RPGs. If you have a problem with this, please PM me and I will change it immediately!) Frog Teh Anjil Digi Joshi Graedius
[ACCEPTED:] 1. Tempest 2. Strangie 3. Enrique 4. Yoshee & Champ 5. Gar 6. Twi 7. Teo 8. Pawy 9. Jay 10. British 11. Lazo 12. Yoshiken 13. Leoshi 14. Pink 15. Contention
-------- "Alright, Strangie, I got it. I know, you told me a thousand times. Yes, don't worry, I checked the Cafe for spam. Yes, I am going to check later. Just enjoy your day off, please. Yes. Yes. You too. Tell Yoshiken, Pink, and Lazo I told them to relax too." Tempest sighed, and hung up the phone. He ruffled his papers on the desk, trying to collect them into one pile. Being an administrator of a whole community was not as easy as it looked. Tempest had been entrusted with temporary powers as the real administrators enjoyed their days off.
Tempest heard a beep on his intercom, and he turned in his swivel chair to answer it.
"Tempest? It's Anjil. How are you doing on those files?"
"Hey! I'm making... progress.." Tempest eyed the papers uneasily. "How are you doing with those new member forms?"
"All done! Digi's here too, she just ran a double check for spambots."
"Everything looks good from here. Man, we run this place pretty well. I'm gonna finish these papers.. Tempest out." Tempest grinned and turned off the speaker. He turned in his swivel chair to look out the window. It was a beautiful day in Yoshi's Corner, and the view from the Staff Lounge was especially magnificent. He felt the weather outside beam. There was a knock on the door.
"Yo - we've got to keep these sigs in check." Frog's voice rang from the doorway. Tempest laughed.
"Eh, let's just be lenient about it for now. When the admins get back they'll - .." He stopped. There was a sudden disturbance in the weather. Tempest turned towards the window. The wind had picked up significantly.
"What's wrong?" Frog headed towards the window. Tempest saw the winds start to howl furiously as a huge figure was now rocketing towards the Yoshi's Corner Staff Lounge at deafening speeds. His eyes widened in horror. It was a Boeing 757 Jet.
"GET DOWN NO-" Tempest by reflex flashed up an electron shield immediately as the plane collided with the building, shaking the entire community of Yoshi's Corner to the very core. A huge fireball melted the foundations of the building, and a giant explosion consumed the Staff Lounge. Tempest passed out.
Hours later...
Tempest woke up with a startle. He was surrounded by debris. He leapt to his feet, feeling a stabbing pain in his arm. There was a piece of shrapnel embedded deep into it.
"Frog. Frog!" Tempest forgot about the pain and looked towards a pile of debris at Frog's charred and unmoving body. Tempest descended upon it, searching for a pulse. Nothing. Tempest's jaw dropped, and he sprinted to the burnt intercom, toggling the switch dozens of times.
"Anjil! Digi! Contention! Anyone!" Nothing but static. Tempest reached into his armor and pulled out his PDA, accessing the 'Who's Online?' function. He saw some normal members in the community active, but no staff members other than his own. Every staff member that had been on a member before was now no longer located. The truth dawned upon Tempest. He dialed the number to Strangie's cell phone.
"Hello?" Strangie's voice came into the speaker.
"The staffs dead, Strangie, their all dead. Every single one of them."
((Let's get this show on the road. Late signups are still open!))

"... haha, yeah right," replied Strangie on the phone, chuckling a bit. He was laying on a bed in some ritzy hotel, being on vacation and all. "Come on, Tempest, you know you shouldn't joke like that." However, after listening to Tempest a while longer, he blinked a few times, and thought of the possibility that Tempest might not be messing with his head. "... wait... you're really not joking, are you?... oh God..." He ran his fingers through his own hair, in shock and disbelief, and sat up on the bed. "You had better not be screwing around with me... a plane crashed? Into the Staff Lounge? What kind of psycho... ... alright, I'll go find the others. We'll be there ASAP." He closed up his cell phone, pocketing it and looking off to the side. He thought to himself, "Who would do this...? And whoever is behind this, they're good as dead." He got up, grabbing his visor from a hook on the wall and hastily putting it on, and quickly ran out of his hotel room to find his friends. (I'll have to know where the others actually are, so I will know what to do on my next post. Also, if I forget about this thing, someone just IM me or something and get my butt in gear. )

Like any other day, Enrique was looking about and contributing to the conversations at Yoshi's Corner. After a long day of scurrying about the community, he relaxed in the area that a usually friendly chat occurred daily. This area was a small building just outside the main section of the community. All that was in the building were a few tables, chairs, and sofas. At the moment, the chat was stagnant; there was not any members in the area other than himself and the server that notified who entered and left the area. However, Enrique didn't seem to mind, this was a rather comfortable area to him, whether he was alone or one of many. He sat down in the sofa that faced the door of the building.
As he was starting to relax and shut his eyes, a large crashing sound suddenly filled his head. The crashing sound was followed by a low, staticky noise, like the sound of a building imploding. He felt a small shaking against the ground, as if a small earthquake was coming through the area; however, none of the furniture in the building moved an inch. He jumped out of the sofa that he was relaxing in to the noise and the rumble. "What the heck is going on...?" He could barely hear himself speak for the noise.
Enrique rushed outside, only to see the tallest building in the community - the one that held the designated staff conference center - burst into flames and implode. Enrique was shocked at the sight, almost to the point where he wanted to cry for anyone that may have been trapped inside. Slowly, he started to approach the rubbish after it had fallen. At the first sight of the ruins of the building, he had no idea what to think; he was nervous to find something that he didn't want to see, such as a death to someone. After fifteen minutes of debating with himself, he finally had the urge to try to clear part of the area, attempting to find any sign of survival to the implosion.
Four hours later, he decided to give up; he was getting too tired and he didn't find anything in the rubbish besides the material that the building was made of. Disappointed, he slowly retreated back to the building in which he had come from, the building where a chat was normally held. All he could do was sit back down in the sofa that he sat in before the implosion occurred and feel guilty that he wasn't much help.

Twi was browsing through the art gallery at Yoshi's corner, a small minimalist room with the other members art. He liked it here, it was quiet, a place where he could think to himself and no-one would talk to him, the way he liked it.
Suddenly he heard a faint rumble, almost inaudable. He turned towards the direction of the noise, and slowly walked out of the gallery. Outside he saw smoke coming from over the other buildings in the direction of the staff building. He ran towards the smoke.
As he approuched it was clear to see the wreckage of the staff area. He stared in disbelief at what was there. His eyes glowed an unusual amount as he scanned the wreckage, and caught sight of Tempest standing in the middle of the wreckage, dazed. He ran over towards him."Tempest! What happened?"

Lazo took a deep breath as he placed his tropical drink of unknown mixture on the glass and plastic stand next to his recliner, gazing up at the large green umbrella through his thick sunglasses. He adjusted himself into a more comfortable position, lifting the newspaper back up to his face as he listened to the sounds of giggling and screaming children swimming in the pool. The splashes brought a fleeting urge to jump in and join them, as weird as it would look, which was then crushed as he read through more of the article's text. He frowned then mumbled "Don't try to out-legislate me, boy. You don't stand a chance..." and tossed it to the side with a dismissive grunt.
His head lazily panned from side to side as he surveyed the pool area with casual interest, thinking back to a time where he could make himself look like a fool, creepy or both and no one would notice or care. He chuckled as the desire to return to that simplicity tried to rise and was simply batted away, while he turned to lay on his side; the denied desire falling to the concrete much like the paper before it. With a final glance at the main entrance to the pool he caught a glimpse of Strangie --even here he stuck out like a sore thumb -- and snorted, even whispering "Go. Away." to himself as the figure entered his field of vision.
His heart grew sick as he noticed the expression of Strangie's face, the look in the man's eyes shouted of disaster. With a small sigh he folded his arms and waited, all traces of amusement leaving his mind and his expression.

I happened to be revising one of my fiction stories in my small house. It was about a mile and a half from the bustling center of Yoshi's Corner, where all the artwork, RP games, and the Staff Lounge were located. I saw a plane fly overhead. That's odd... I saved my story and got up from the computer to look out the window. Planes don't normally fly right over the Corner... BOOM!!! I saw flames rising into the horizon from where the plane had been headed. "That didn't just happen." I said, shaking my head and looking back out the window. The smoke and flames were still there. <What in the world?> Champ came up beside me and gazed out the window. "We need to check it out. Champ, go find the first aid kit. I'll grab the backpack." I directed. We split up and dashed through the house, gathering up several water bottles, the first aid kit, my Tennis racquet, and I stuffed Champ inside. <Hey...!> He protested. I slammed the door shut behind me and hurried out at a quick jog. I couldn't run full out or I would get tired before we got there.

Strangie managed to find Lazo first at the pool - who didn't seem all too enthused with Strangie's presence. At this point, though, the non-Yoshi didn't care.
"Lazo!" He said, running up to him and skidding to a stop about two yards away from him. "I just got a call from Tempest." He looked around, not wanting to grab too much attention from anybody else who might be around, and whispered, "A freakin' plane crashed into the staff building at Yoshi's Corner... and he said that the staff didn't survive... and judging from the way he said it, I don't think he's joking. We've got to head back to Yoshi's Corner. Right. Freakin'. Now. Who knows what else is going to happen between now and the time we get back..."

Tempest rummaged thorugh the rubble, looking for any signs of life. Maybe the detector was wrong, maybe there was a glitch. There was always a chance. He picked up a rock and tossed it to the side, ignoring the pain in his abdomen. He saw a flash of white appeared under the dirty rubble. A feather, a white, crushed feather. Anjil. Tempest saw Twi appear on the scene.
"Help me unbury her!" He gasped, and started to toss rocks aside. He came across her pale blue wrist. Tempest felt for a pulse, but found nothing. No signs of vitality, nothing. Tempest continued to gently uncover his friend, until the faint outline of her broken body was revealed. Tempest's rage continued to build inside him as clouds above started to darken..

Enrique could barely stand to think that he couldn't have been much help to clearing out the rubble that stood in place of the staff building. He paced around the chat building for about a half hour until he decided to attempt again to find life in the ruins out of fear that he would regret himself later for not even trying. Quietly, he left the building again; however, he walked slightly faster to the ruins of the building than he did before.
As he was making his way toward the ruins again, he noticed that the ocne blue sky was now covered in a large mass of dark clouds. The clouds seemed to threaten to rain and spawn lightning in Enrique's eyes. "Oh, great... It's going to be one of those days, isn't it?" he thought. Despite the temptation to turn around because of the potential of stormy weather, he carried on to the site of the damage.
He was relieved that this time there was a sign of life; Tempest, who had recently been appointed into a temporary administration role, was alive and attempting to uncover other possible survivors of the tragedy. However, to Enrique, Tempest was not happy; apparently, one of the staff members may have been found dead. It seemed to the best interest of Enrique to stay away from him in order to avoid a possible conflict.
Instead, he shoved some of the building material aside to find others who may have been trapped. One by one, he removed pieces of concrete from the large pile to find a possible other staff member who may have survived. However, he had no anticipations to find anything. After twenty five minutes of digging, a furry paw was identified; it obviously was Graedius. Excited that he had found something important, he quickly removed the other boulders that covered the staff member. To his dispair, Graedius was covered in a pool of blood, failing to breathe. Blood oozed out of Graedius's body extremely slowly, instead of a pump-like action as expected with all of his wounds. Enrique felt the side of Graedius's neck for any sign of a pulse; with this failure, it was clear that Graedius had no life left.
Now came the hard part of this voluntary work: telling Tempest, the only known live staff member in the area, that one of the important people of the community was dead. As Enrique approached Tempest, he pondered over Tempest's possibel reaction to Enrique's sad news. At one point, Enrique was afraid to tell Tempest for the anger that could possibly come from him. Nonetheless, Enrique felt as if he had no choice. Sorrowfully, Enrique admitted his discovery. "Tempest... Graedius is dead..."

I saw the staff building up ahead, and started sprinting. Clouds were forming above, as if to darken the mood. Champ watched from the backpack. "Get ready to pull stuff out." I warned him. I reached the remains of the staff lounge, huffing and puffing. I saw three figures whom I recognised as Twi, Tempest, and... was that Anjil? I hurried over. "Are you guys... okay...?" I panted. I saw the state Anjil was in, and Tempest's arm. My eyes widened as I realized that our global moderator was dead. I couldn't do much for them. "At any rate, we need to get that thing out of your arm. It could get infected, and we won't have any staff." Champ grabbed the first aid kit and handed it to me. "I brought water... if you're thirsty..." I said lamely. I felt defeated. Was he the only staff member left? What about the adminstrators?

Tempest turned to see that a party of locals had showed up. Then, Enrique dropped the bomb. Graedius was dead. Tempest closed his eyes for a second as the pain pierced through him. The clouds rumbled and thunder rolled throughout the sky.
"We've got to keep looking. There could be other survivors." Tempest said in a monotone voice. Tempest designated a spot to put the bodies of the fatalities in a patch of grass that wasn't desecrated. He picked up Anjil's battered body and put it in that spot, before returning to the ruins of the staff lounge. Tempest was still in shock. Who could have done this? Why? There was no reason for it. His rage bubbled underneath his calm complexion. Where was Strangie and the rest of the admins?

Yoshiken exited the flower shop via the exit in the front. He had just bought flowers, chocolates, and a small blue Teddy bear for Anjil. There was no special occasion, he had just decided to give her a present for the heck of it. He knew where she worked at the time and had nothing else to do, so he decided a visit would be a top priority. He strolled down the side rode looking out at the gigantic skyscraper in front of them where Anjil had worked as a staff secretary.
He decided to make quite an entrance and fly up to her window and come in from there. He noticed a large jet heading at an almost opposite angle from the airport, it seemed that it was wanting to land straight into the building. Yoshiken quickly brushed the thought away but kept his eye on the jet. he was correct though, because the plane HAD just crashed into the building.
Yoshiken screamed, "ANJIL!" and instantly spread his wings out to fly off towards the building. As he was flying, the building fell upon itself as rubble lay out in the open. He noticed Tempest by a certain area and a body that looked familiar. "TEMPEST!! WHERE IS EVERYONE!!! ARE THEY ALL OK!!! PLEASE TELL ME ANJIL IS ALIVE!"
Tears were running down his cheek as he hadnt noticed that he dropped his gifts back by the flower shop...

Pawy gave a little snicker as she dashed along the streets of the YC, her tail lashing from side to side. The occaision for her seemingly aggressive joy was brought on upon the stormy weather above; she had not heard of a weather report indicating any bad weather, however stormy days always made her feel quite energetic, to say the least. Further underlining this wild joy was noted in four points of light -- the octagonal jewels and the band around her tail giving off a bright, colored light of whatever their original color was.
Sure, it made her stick out, but today was not supposed to be a day for fighting -- and this fact made her throw stealth and caution out the window. Nothing had gone wrong that day to tell her to be anything aside from exuberant, even aside from a distant explosion of sorts she had heard coming from the direction she ran in. In fact, the explosion had heightened her mood -- the prospect of fire excited her.
She had her doubts about a lasting fire, for she could not feel the energy exerted by her favorite element nor could she really smell traces of a strong fire (not to mention the explosion had been quite a while ago), but towards the area she went. Putting up a picture she had drawn of herself and a certain other Yoshi wasn't exactly all that exciting for her, and she rather hated boredom. With this brief recollection of the past, boring events, she rounded a corner to find a building in ruins, a building she recognized as the staff lounge. As her gaze swept across it, a more puzzled expression overcame her excited one with each stride she made towards the area.

For British so far, it had been a pretty slow day. There was nothing worth doing in his apartment, and he was pretty sure that there would be absolutely nothing on TV. Nothing actually worth wasting time to watch, anyway.
It was through chance that something reminded him of Yoshi's Corner. A while he ago British had met one of the staff members from there, who recommended it to him. Naturally he forgot about it a couple days after being told about it, and totally forgot the name of the staff there who told him about it in the first place. "I guess I could drop down there for a couple hours... not like I've got much else to do."
He figured he could just lurk in the background there, and maybe chime in if something interested him. British slipped into his jacket, which was already heavy with his gear from a previous job. Obviously if he wasn't going to be there too long, he probably could keep it on him. It wasn't like anyone had to know that he had an Energy Weapon secreted on him anyway, and with that thought in mind he left for the Corner.
About halfway there he noticed what seemed to be a very low flying jet, or some sort of aircraft in a steep dive heading towards the general area he was headed. "Either that guy's a lousy pilot, or he's in trouble..." Apparently, the pilot was in neither of these states. Moments later the aircraft nosed down and although British couldn't see it beyond other buildings, it was pretty obvious to anyone what had happened. An enormous fireball erupted followed shortly by an almost deafening explosion.
As luck would have it he wasn't far from the Corner now. He figured if he got down there quickly, he could figure out exactly what just happened.
Unfortunately for him, he wouldn't be getting answers any time soon. The jet had smashed into the Yoshi's Corner building, littering the surrounding area with burning debris. He could make out a group of people frantically digging through the rubble. Running over there he happened across what was apparently something from the main building, part of a sign, or something. Rubbing off some soot, it read "Staff Lounge". "This can't be good... What a way to introduce yourself to a community." British muttered to himself.

It was a typical day in the eyes of Leoshi. Unlike most of the other members, he was off enjoying a sail in the water nearby in his grand Majestuosa. Looking over the rail, he could see the city where Yoshi's Corner stood. I looked like a fun, cheerful place.
Though there was the sudden sound of a crash. Leo looked up and gasped as he saw a building it aflame.
"The staff's chambers! Oh, what terror!" Leoshi shouted.
He lifted the glasses off his face in great surprise as he saw the building implode before his very eyes. "NO!" he gasped. If he didn't have a small ounce of self-control left, he would have jumped overboard and sum there himself, but he was too shocked to move. His hands clutched as he looked down, shaking. "Who did this?!"
His voice started to quiver, as his ship shook up and down against the shock-wave. "Nobody there committed a crime... there was no reason... and yet." he was quivering, knowing there no not a chance anyone in there could have made it out. "You will not go unavenged!" he called out.
There was a sudden scraping sound. He looked down and realized he had let go of the wheel. She ship was sailing in shallow water, and headed strait for the docks.
"NO!" he shouted. Before he could race back to the wheel, the ship his the dock, plowing itself onto dry land and grass. he gasped and fell down as the ship came to abrupt stop. Though now, there was no reason to unrig the boat, the Majestuosa was going to go nowhere. Leo jumped from the deck and ran toward the imploded building, realizing the crash has left him a bit beat up. He found a dew yoshis crowded at the site of the wreckage. "My word, what happened here?!"

For a moment he could only stare with his mouth agape as he attempted to process Strangie's words. As the grim news hit home a surge of panic began to well up in his mind until he felt a kind of click in the back of his head. He turned himself over and pushed himself out of the reclined chair, landing roughly on the pavement slightly to the left as a wave of almost serene numbness swept through his head, clipping and washing away a majority of the balloon of panic yet leaving enough to leave a dull throbbing echo in his head.
He inched closer to Strangie, a tense grimace forming on his face. "Did he say anything about Yoshiken?" He whispered, voice like thin ice breaking "Sent him back early on account of him whining about Anjil." He quickly shook his head several times, his forgotten sunglasses shaking, and glanced to his right "We'll find out soon enough. Go pack your stuff if you have to. I will see what transportation is available to us on such short notice. If you are ready then we will go now. Alright?" He swung his left hand up and rubbed his right shoulder as his gaze at Strangie once again, the brisk tone fading from his voice. "A real airplane, a real large airplane...? I cannot even imagine the scene."

"No, he didn't say anything about Yoshiken..." Strangie replied. "Tempest didn't mention any names, he just said 'all staff'..." He scratched the side of his head, mindlessly adjusting his visor, and he realized the severity of the situation. "The whole place is probably going to be a mess, physically and emotionally..."
He closed his eyes, looked down a bit, and took a moment to think about all of this while Lazo was still taking in the situation, after he was finished speaking. "All of the Corner staff... gone? That's just not right... I guess we're lucky that we happened to be out of town at the time, but everyone else... Regardless, they'll be avenged, one way or another..." He looked up at Lazo, sighing a bit.
"I'm as ready as I'll ever be. Let's go."

With a little jump into the air to break her running speed faster, Pawy came to stand but a few feet away from what had once been the staff building, heavy panting becoming obvious. The prescence of a few embers and small flames amongst the rubble near her excited her for a moment before common logic told her this was not the place or time to play with fire. She shook her head for a moment, the fires near her dissipating as if a strong wind had extinguished them. Still gazing at the ruins, the once bright glow in her eyes diminished, but did not leave completely.
Feeling sympathetic for loss, even as great as what lay before her, was not a strong point; however she felt a strange, uncharacteristic sense of loss at the destruction before her. On that point of loss, a small sadness developed within her, giving her the resolve to stick around to see what happened. Tail lashing a few times, she turned her focus off of the loss -- a more calm feeling remaining, yet her curiosity strong as ever.
With her emotions set back to a calm state, her gaze swept up, away from the little area she was in. With a slight smile, her eyes locked onto a few Yoshies in the distance, none of whom she could recognize from her position, yet that did not dampen her resolve. Her panting not as bad and the slight burning feeling in her chest from her previous running excursion gone, Pawy set into a faster walk around the building towards the area where there seemed to be more action going on, yet not quite moving towards anyone. They seemed too preoccupied with a search of sorts to really want to be approached with questions from herself (at least in the terms she saw it in), at any rate.

Tempest called him to help move the rubble away to find survivors. Twi stood still, looking around the wreckage. He looked back at Tempest who had found the dead body of Anjil. He still stood there, just staring. He saw Yoshiken flying down to the site and heard a loud cry. He walked towards a pile of rocks and decided to start helping. He silently lifted rocks and threw them aside, looking for survivors.
