Marching his way through the bushes as Vicks did, Enrique heard Vicks say that they had finally reached the waterfall. Enrique had a sigh of relief as he excitedly pushed his way through the remaining few branches to the foot of the waterfall. As he emerged, he then heard Vicks mutter something, but he couldn't figure out what he had said. He thought that he had finally reached freedom from the illness, until he saw a somewhat puzzled look on Vicks' face.
A strange luminescing glow appeared on Vicks; Enrique gazed at the sky to observe that the moon was even larger than it was the night before. Enrique had no idea what to say or think for about twenty seconds, then thought about his hypothesis from the night before. "...Is the moon... really closer to the Earth? Or is it just... larger?" Enrique tried to believe the former, as he wouldn't believe that the moon would just randomly grow during the course of one day.

Strangie wondered what the problem was. He trusted Vicks - at least enough for him to let himself be led to where ever they were going - but after that, plenty of questions would be asked. He stayed silent during the whole arguing thing and silently followed Blood and Vicks to their goal.
... or not.
"... what do you mean 'this makes no sense'? What makes no sense!? Isn't this it?" Strangie said, gesturing to the water. He then looked up at the large moon. He then looked back at the tinted water. "... so does that mean we can't use this to cure ourselves now?"

"Yeah...What now?" Blood looked at Vicks, he had all the answers up until now. There was a look of uncertainty on his face. Blood ate the sigh of relief that was waiting to come out.
"Are we...Are we done for?..." Blood's heart beat in panic. Done in by poison...

The group was starting to go on again, but there were still several people weak here. And until Vicks outburst, I realized that I had completely trusted him. What if this poison isn't fatal and just gives pain? He's either a bad guy or a good guy, but I don't know. I just know I can't stay here, I have to keep going, and so do the others...
The group started to move again, but one yoshi hadn't woken up, the yellow spiked, clumsy one. Maybe she was clumsy because of the sickness, but she needed help. I went over to her, and kneeled by her. What if she's dead? I felt for a pulse, and there was still one. It was weak, maybe because she was weak or sleeping, but it was there. "Oh come on...wake up... wakey wakey artichokey..." No reaction. "Hey... nap time's over, you can sleep after you get cured..." A long pause ensued as the group started going further. "Alright, tell you what, fine!" This would have been a lot easier if she was awake by now, but I couldn't lose the group. "Heave ho!" Call it last minute and desperate, but I had just slung her across my back like one would maybe carry a sack of potatoes, keeping her balanced with an arm and letting her rest on my shoulder, though her head banged against my bag. The weight... I do hope we're almost there. Im just so far behind...
And so the journey continued. Was there a cure? Who was this Vicks and why isn't he poisoned? These questions started popping up for the first time. Can we trust him?

Toshi glanced over to where the group had disappeared into, heading for the waterfall, he was sitting down at the time of his outburst, too tired and exhausted to stay on his feet. It's not like he never trusted Vicks, as he's never been trusted about many things beforehand, so after a short rest, he got to his feet weakly, and headed off to catch up with them, he ran with pain upon his face, he was getting worse as the minutes went by, his skin was even becoming pale... was this because of the poison? He eventually caught up with the group.

Twi had followed Vicks to the waterfall, not because he trusted him, but because he wanted to cure. As he reached the waterfall, he heard Vicks say something about it not making sence. Twi stayed silent for a bit, thinking over what was said. Currently Twi was now only feeling mild discomfort, getting a little stronger every so often, but nothing unbareable just yet. He glanced at the small group who had followed Vicks, and then realised that Vicks had led a group of helpless yoshis into the forest for nothing.
"You know what Vicks, that outburst back there was the stupidest thing I've ever heard. You lead a group of helpless yoshis into the forest to die while you save someone who had the same disease who DIDN'T come, then shout and leave them back there to DIE to save one person, and then realise we CAN'T get cured...what the hell is with that?"
Twi had a face of pure anger, ready to punch the guy, may even with his claw, which was still consealed at this time.

Toshi had overheard what the black yoshi said as he catches up with them all, his eyes widened with fright as he heard this, his skin pale now, "Wh... what? No...", Toshi backed off, his breathing now heavy as though he was hyper-ventilating. "Please say i heard that wrong, please!"
He steps onto a petruding rock and stumbles backwards onto his rear, grunting as he hits the floor, it felt like he had just shattered every bone in his body on the impact, "Ugh!" he yelled.

''..." Gem was looking at the waterfall with disbelief. She tried to look for some positive, but nothing. And sooner or later, all the infected ones will be just as tired and weak as us. Gem never liked to be weak, but it is a fact at the moment. "So, this is it? It can't be it..." Gem heard a loud 'Ugh!' and went to check it out. It was the blue yoshi she bumped into when all this craziness started. She put out her hand. "Are you okay?" She coughed a bit looking the other way.

"What?" Jay overheard. He ran straight to see them at the waterfall. Jay was still shocked. "You're serious?" 'Great, we're dying, and the cure is impossible to get...'
'Wait, Vicks isn't poisoned...and...I know something is seriously wrong...Now I don't know if I can trust Vicks anymore. I better keep my guard up just in case...'
"I cannot believe this!" Jay was seriously upset. He quicked the nearest rock the hardest he can. "We're getting killed by some stupid poison! What the hell's going on!" Jay held his head, starting to tear up.

Still waiting withthe rest of the group, Moot figured now would be a good time to check out exactly what all the noise coming from the waterfall area was about. Making his way through the bushes, Moot was expecting to see Vicks and everyone else through there busy curing themselves, or whatever you had to do in this river to get cured.
Instead he was presented with the much less impressive sight of Vicks standing there, dumbstruck. "...So I take it this wasn't what you were looking for. Apart from the purple-tinged water, the other stange thing about this scene was again the size of the moon, which compared to the other night back at the festival appeared to have grown even larger. The reflection in the pool here exaggerated that fact even more.
Looking at the moon, although not really expecting to gain any knowledge from that, Moot pointed up to it, and called over to Vicks. "I'm no scientician, but I'm guessing the moon here has something to do with it? Did any of this happen the last time the island got poisoned?" He sighed for a second, and turned around to see another human on the verge of a nervous breakdown behind him. "Look guy, the last thing we need now is for people to be getting emotional when I'm pretty sure we have at least 2 and a half days more to find a cure. How do you expect anyone here to be able to do anything if we break down and give up?"

"Huff... huff... where are they? I saw them go this way." I was at the edge of a lake of sorts, with a waterfall pouring down it and vegetation growing all around. The weight of my loaded backpack and the yoshi I was carrying was taking its toll on me, but I had no idea where the others were. If I scream, something else might hear me. Maybe I should track them with smell. Being a yoshi was a pretty good thing, I could be proud of it. I took a deep sniff and it seemed like a whole picture floated into my mind of the place I was at. There was a berry bush nearby, several monkey-filled trees, water, me and my load, but also of a trail of yoshi's and humans that seemed to lead around the lake.
Trusting my sense of smell, I followed, slowly but surely, around the lake. I was almost at the falls, but my strength was failing me, and I was driven more by willpower than what my energy allowed. Soon though, my muscles themselves couldn't hold the weight, and no matter how much I wanted to get there, I started to kneel unwillingly to a stop by the base of a tree, a good distance from the falls. My nose indicated they were all in the falls, but I was too weak to go in and check. I set the yoshi I was transporting by the base of the tree, head propped up on a root. As for myself, I couldn't go on either without a good rest, so I did the same thing, save using my own bag as a pillow. To the sleeping yoshi, but mostly to myself, I said, "You know, you had a very good idea to fall asleep... I had to carry you, but what a great idea," and with that, I closed my eyes until sleep came over me.

Vicks closed his eyes, "Everybody calm down. This is just a minor setback!" he hopped into the poisoned water, wincing, his boots mostly protected him, but where the water flowed up over his legs was starting to ache, "I...just...have to chip off a piece of the crystal for us to use..." he started to trudge up the stream, right up to the waterfall, a pained grimace crossing his face, "If this doesn't work...I'm...done for..," as soon as he reached it, he reached out, "The pillar's cracked...?"
Vicks leaned forward, working at something, then with a 'clink!' he stepped back, triumphantly holding up a piece of shining, clear crystal. "I got it!..," as he painfully waded back to shore, a very loud cracking sound rent the air, and he turned to look at the waterfall, "...Huh?" and a bright flash cut through the clearing, along with a horrible shattering sound, throwing Vicks onto his tail...
When the light faded, the whole clearing was strewn with shards of crystal, four of which were glowing, one at Twi's feet, one having bonked Toshi in the head, and another that had landed itself perfectly atop Teo's nose. Vicks was sitting on front of the last one, rubbing his eyes.
After something freaky like that, the last thing Toshi would expect is to feel perfectly healthy, or Teo to feel the bonds on his wrists breaking, or Twi to feel as if he could show his companions anything, and should he, they wouldn't freak out. But that's exactly how each of them feels right now.

Blood grabbed a shard of crystal, completely ignoring the rather stunning spectacle. He walked over to a nearby coconut tree and kicked it a few times in hopes of making a coconut fall off. After a couple of hard blows, one fell to Blood's feet. He held it in place with his foot, then brought his spear over his head and smashed the point down on the coconut, cracking it in two well cut halves. Blood chipped away at one half, hollowing out the white fruit meat in it. Once it was fully hollowed out, Blood walked to stream with the shard in one hand, the coconut in his other, and holding the spear under his arm. He dipped the shard in the water and scooped a few cups of pure water out of the stream to drink.
Blood instantly felt the weight of the poison lifted from his stomach. He chuckled a bit, and smiled widely. "Hahah! I'm free! I'm cured!"
Blood tossed the coconut cup to Vicks so that he could use it to cure himself as well.

Strangie quickly grabbed a piece of the shard. "Yes! Everything works better when you start complaining about it!" Strangie said, oddly. "... What? It usually works... well, whatever." He watched Blood for a few moments, then tried to repeat the idea, but with his own means of doing so. He brought his hand back over his side and behind him. "HAH!" Then suddenly struck out against a coconut tree with that hand, the tree wobbling a little and a few coconuts falling down. He grabbed one, putting the shard to the side for a brief moment as he held onto the coconut with one hand on the ground and brought his other hand back, smacking it like he did the tree.
CRACK! The coconut split open, right in half, just the way he wanted it. He grabbed one half of the coconut in one hand, hollowed it out with the other, and then picked up the shard, leaving the other half of the coconut on the ground in case anybody else wanted to use it. He washed the crystal in the stream water, getting some clean water in the coconut, and drank from it.
...
His stomachache was gone, his headache lifted, he felt like a new man. "Huzzah!" He exclaimed. "It worked! Whew..."
At that moment, he wondered if anybody thought he was a freak for bashing open a coconut with his bare hand.

Enrique watched in awe as the crystal shattered and the shards flew across the area. He felt relieved, even before he was actually cured of the sickness. One of the shards came flying at him, and he caught it before the shards could hit him in the stomach. He wondered how he was going to use it before observing others using coconut shells to drink the pure water. He picked up the coconut half that the small human-like individual left on the ground and approached the stream.
Enrique carefully observed the others by the stream dipping the crystal in the stream to purify the water; he quickly did the same, putting the newly purified water in the coconut shell. He dipped the shard into the water in the coconut shell to make sure the water was completely clean. After doing this, he dropped the crystal shard on the ground and quickly drank the water.
After taking a big gulp of the water, he closed his eyes and feel his headache disintegrate. He opened his eyes to see the world without dizziness. The poison had vanished from his system; in celebration he threw the coconut shell in the air, watching it so that it wouldn't hit somebody in the head until it fell on the ground.

Twi picked up the shard at his feet and looked at it. He saw the iceclimber crack open a coconut with his hands, and Twi thought he should do the same, unfortunately with only one hand, he hand a problem.
He picked up a coconut, but not being the smartest Yoshi, smashed it full on his head. Luckily, it cracked, but his head was now a little sore. He followed Strangie and Blood'[s example and put the shard piece in and picked up some water in the coconut half and drank.
Cured! It worked perfectly, his discomfort left him. He was curious about what Vicks was talking about with the whole pillar thing but he left it slip by for the fact he weas cured. The shard was still there, he took it back out and held it, just keeping it there till he knew what to do with it, it didn't bother him who got it, but he didn't find any use with it anyway.

Toshi rubbed his head where the shard had hit him, then picked it up that shard of crystal. The pain suddenly disappeared, his eyes returned to normal, and his natural skin colour returned, "... i'm... ok?" he whispered, "i'm ok..." He stands up, walking over to the water, kneeling by it, looking at his reflection. He stares at himself... not saying a word, but just staring deeply into the water...

I felt something lifting me, but then I lost all track of everything. I caught a few hazy glimpses of a waterfall, and then a tree, but then no more.
My mind was falling through blackness, with nothing to cling to before I could hit the bottom. Now that I thought about it, I doubted there was a bottom to this pit of unconsiousness. A bright flash filled the right side of my non-vision; something in the outside world was happening, but I couldn't open my eyes to see. Even though I wanted to get up and see what had happened, I found I just didn't have the strength to move...

Blood stood there with the spear in his left hand. He looked around aimlessly...What was there to do next? The crystal had shattered, and the water was still poisoned. How would they continue? Blood looked to Vicks for an answer, saying simply... "Well...what happens now?"

Hrmm... hmmm... "Urgh... what?" I woke up and looked around me, everything slowly coming back. "Well that was a nice nap... hey what the... what's this crystal on my nose?" I sat up and the crystal fell to the ground where it sparkled, letting out a sense of energy around it. Close to us, I had woken up just in time to see Enrique dunk a crystal in a water-filled coconut half, drink it, then feel completely fresh. Could this be what we were looking for? "Hey guys, are these the thing we were looking for?" I said loudly for them to hear. "And I think I'm going to need one of those coconut halves if it is..."
