A New Evil

[Lord of the Dance]

Pamela blinked, not really following the conversations besides the fact that the Amayzee Dayzee was crying, the Boo looked concerned, and there were a few strange-looking Yoshis standing around.
The young Hammer Koopa raised a dainty claw. "Um, who's Tubbyblub?" She squeaked with a quaking voice. She didn't know anyone here- she was kind of scared. She had never seen a Yoshi before, but she knew that they liked to eat things her size.

Red scratched his head for a moment, then stopped thinking as he saw the hammer koopa seemed shy. He patted her on the back, and said "Its ok, we won't hurt you." Red thought for another moment, not knowing how to answer The small koopa's question. He then sketched with the tip of his lance in the dirt of Tubba Blubba. "Well, thats him, or at least a poor representation of the beast." Red chuckled to himself.

"Tubba Blubba is a giant Clubba Bubba who lives near the Boo's Mansion...he's somehow invincible but the famous Mario was able to beat him once before. He supposedly changed his ways, but, guess not." Ra said. ...How was he able to beat him...?, He thought to himself.

Pamela flinched as the Yoshi patted her shell, but quickly straightened up again as it scribbled in the dirt. The black Yoshi did some quick explaining, but the only words the small Koopa understood were "Boo's mansion," "invincible," and "famous Mario."
The Hammer Koopa frowned a little at "famous Mario," as he was known infamously for his ability to injure Koopas.
"What are we gonna do if he's invincible?" She squeaked again. She didn't like doing this much talking, but her curiosity had been sparked now.

[red.yoshi]

Red thought, then replied: "I believe his heart was his weak point." Red was still unsure of himself.

[anjilfan]

Looked at the Yoshi. "The heart eh...? Hmmm..." Ra said. He then began to think. ' The heart... that may be it...but...'

I looked at the Hammer Koopa and made up my mind. "Here's a lollipop." I said, offering the cute Hammer Koopa a lollipop. "If I remember correctly, Mario only hurts Hammer Koopas that work for Bowser. I should know, because my mom once traveled with him."

Quite shocked, but glad for the excuse to shut up, the tiny Hammer Koopa accepted the lollipop. She eyed it suspiciously for a few seconds- did Yoshis poison stuff? No, they all loved food. The lollipop was soon in her beak. Now that she had something else to divert her attention with, the Koopa could actually pay more attention to what was being said.
His heart's his weak point? She wondered. His feeling heart, or his living heart? She didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings, even if they were mean. Her black eyes flitted over each of the others in turn once again, trying to figure these guys out. She had never heard of Bowser's minions and Mario's friends working together for something before.

"You're...mother?..." Ra said. Then he had a shocked look on his face and said, "Hey, you mean Lady Bow? I never knew she had a son!" He Ra then shook his head. "But that's beside the point right now. We have to take care of Tubba fast." Then he thought of something. "Hey! Boo! Why not just ask your mother? She should know, since she has traveled with him."

[mecharedyoshi]

"Yup, Lady Bow's my mother all right." I stated proudly. But, unfortunately, she's on a second honeymoon with my dad, King Boo right now. I think they're vacationing in Petal Meadows at this time. Anyone know where that is?"

[red.yoshi]

Red shook his head. "The name sort of rings a bell, but I can't decide where the place might be." He scratched his head. "And," he added, "Should we really be interrupting them on their Honey Moon?" He blushed after he made the interrogatory statement.

[anjilfan]

"Hmmm, nah, let them enjoy themselves... we can always interrupt if we have no more leads." Ra said. Then he thought, ....do we have any leads right now...?

Pamela looked from face to concerned face, and pulled the lollipop out of her mouth. She opened her mouth to say something, but then shut it again, embarrassed. Of course the Yoshi was wrong- they were always wrong. But with two of them, she thought she might not want to speak up. They were completely lost about what to do, but Pamela couldn't bring herself to make the suggestion.
"Where do we go first then?" She asked instead. It sounded like an intelligent question, and she knew Mario's friends had very low expectations for Bowser's minions. She would have to impress them and show them just how much a Koopa was worth.
Pamela shocked herself a little with her bold thoughts, but found she really wanted to adventure with them and prove herself. Maybe she could throw her hammers better when she got home, anyways. That would certainly surprise her friends, and she knew how much they liked surprises.

Ra's eyes lit up. " Well! That's actually a very good question!" Ra said in surprise. He began to think even harder now. Then he thought of something, "I know! We can try to ask another one of Mario's traveling partners! I forget his name. But from the stories, he lives over in Koopa Village."

[mecharedyoshi]

"His name's Kooper." I suddenly blurted out. " I've met him a few times. Unfortunately, he's on an expedition to Ancient mountain right now. Personally, I think we should ask my mom, but I have no idea where Flower Fields is. Also, I personally think we should take this cute Hammer Koopa with us. You wouldn't believe how powerful they can get. I should know, she reminds me of a friend I once had. He was also a Hammer Koopa. Unfortunately he was killed by Trimat. He was also extremely powerful. In fact, he once single-handedly defeated Bowser." Then, I realized something. I should ask this Hammer Koopa instead of talking about her as if she were just an object. "Would you like to come with us?" I asked. It was then I remembered something. "Bombette is vacationing in Candy World right now, and since I know exactly where that is, we can go and ask her!"

The young girl's expression of curiosity soon changed to horror as the Boo rambled about his friend. Defeated King Bowser? She wanted to be nothing like this fiend. Why would she defy everything she had learned her whole life? Bowser must've felt so betrayed and humiliated to be defeated by one of his own forces.
She did not want to help the Yoshis after all, but she guessed she could come along to make sure they weren't after any of her friends. They would be upset if they were beaten up and Pamela didn't do anything about it. And she always got so depressed when her friends were upset.
She held the lollipop by her side instead of in her mouth, but didn't look the Boo in the eye. It would have been awkward... And she had never known a Boo to practically worship Mario like that. She could not stand up to someone she didn't understand yet.
"I'll come," She squeaked instead of arguing.

[red.yoshi]

Red hesitated. "I'll come. But I won't disrupt your mother if we do happen to be venturing to the Meadows. This is one of the most important moments of her life. I'd wait outside if it was fine with everyone." Red fixed his lance.

[mecharedyoshi]

"We should go to Candy World first. I happen to have a Hammer Koopa friend there who sells hammers, as well as other things, including food." I said with a twinkle in my eye.

[anjilfan]

"Alright then Boo dude! Lead the way." Ra said excitedly, for he has not been doing anything for a while.

[mecharedyoshi]

"Okay." I said as I headed off to our destination.
