I'd have to go with swords, I'm more familiar with them, and they also include most of the weapons I've drawn.

Hard choice, but I'm gonna have to go with the hammer because of the fun factor.

Who said the sword had to be Medival or Japanese? I like my fake spring steel Tai Chi sword I bought from Chinatown for only $15 for no absolute reason other than the fact it was $15 and it's just there . Not to mention the Vietnamese has some really crazy swords with rings on the back side of the blade. I'll leave you with the research in finding out what purpose those rings serve. As far as this selection goes, I'll choose the yo-yo.

Where's the Tennis racquets? XD
Hmm, other than my favorite weapon, the indomitable Tennis racquet, I like claws. They look cool. Whips and staves are sweet, as well. And once I commented to a friend about "nunchucks" (the spelling seems odd to me, but it could be just me), so I pretty much like all weapons. As long as I can swing it, I'm okay with it. XD It's just my favorite is the Tennis racquet.

Give me a WHIP!!
I don't know, I've started liking whips... Staves are neat, and I also like quarter-staffs, along with flails and maces... medieval stuff.
But the whip gets my vote.

Uuuuh... i would go for the dual swords. One in each hand. Kinda like what Lloyd equips in Tales of Symphonia. Pic of it right here

Probably some kind of Japanese sword. I find them easier to use than a hammer or a whip, and safer. If I couldn't use a sword I might choose a stave, I'm good with those.

Weapons are nothing but trinkets!... corny phrase aside, hand-to-hand unarmed combat is where it's at.

well... swords OF CORSE ^^ if you ask why, it is because I LOVE to fence with it while I Role Play with friends live. and also because I have one myself ^^ well... it's a blade, a bajonet from the first world war, 44cm in lenght, but is realy prodused in 1921, after the war, but the same model.
and as for the hand to hand, I like that to, but for me: Swords PWNE hand to hand... even if I do Judo...

I voted for hammers, though it truly is a tie for me between those and swords. I myself own a longsword, and I love it to pieces. Too bad it's not battle ready. XD

Weapons are nothing but trinkets! Just don't complain when your limbs get sliced off, ya Monk. XD Anyway... weapon? Staff staff STAFF, ftw! My number one weapon of choice. If not a staff, then a scythe for second choice. Those rock.

Oh, now this is a good choice of a topic right here that was begun. For, there are many great weapons out there in the world. You did list quite the many natural ones as well, out of them it seems that many great varities are there. Of course the choice is such a change between all matters of people, and this depends whether you would use the weapon here in life or in a game. Some of those are highly rare for holding in any genre, yet others are quite respectable in all fields. One of such which is greatly known is that of the sword. The standard hilt and swing, with a mere bit of force anything could knock back a foe. Either it be here or somewhere where imagination can soar. Yet the damage dealt in each situation can be devestating to a view taken for those on the recieving end. Think of the swift metal, poked and hot slicing through the flesh to pierce the organs in a steady clear slice. Now that is brutal, but so done by many diffrent things, swords and katanas become a natural retrospect of societies ruggid dreams.
Yet, going on to mention the Axe as a high weapon is that of a harder enviroment. For it is that of a brother to the sword like kingdom. However, the weight of the metal is placed in the foward session. Thus, when the piece is swung it can wind up burrying into things one may not have thought. While the sword can strike and bounce, you might find an Axe to be more easily thrown. That of which will stick when slashed to a wall, instead of echo back and cause yourself to stutter. The way it comes is sweet in the dream as well. A large slow knife, formed from the top to chop another down. Right through the skin, but not one clear slice; the movement of the Axe is a weighty option. Taking the damage even farther in, and breaking vessles enough to allow the blood to seep farther in. While a sword may stick in the cartiladge, an Axe will surely go right through. In case of amputations, it can dislodge the bone from its socket and snap it in two. (Choosing an Axe that is in an example of what should be, sorry there Teo)
Whips themselves are something you might look at a bit crosseyed at first, and they've really only been constructed in games such as Castlevania. They might not be able to really pierce through bone, but they are darkened by one ability. A whip can cut, but into the flesh; leaving the burn behind. The harder striked, the more on the other end. Of course, this can be the footing for any weapon; yet the weapon lives off of this remark. And, if you ever find yourself in a trap, the whip can be used to dismember an enemy of their piece. Of course, this all depends if you have the idea and skill enough to wrap it right and take away what they grasp with their grip. Either way, all weapons lead to a part of the mind itself. For ye who chooses with what to kill, is that which makes you drive. Be it stealthy or loud and to the point. Both can decide what you really enjoy in those matters.
