Ok, I think it's time for a little sweep of topics that are of no use anymore. There's 5 locked topics on page 1 that need deleting and I will if members agree to it.
Are there any topics among the cafe that you feel would degrade, demoralise or is just plainly no longer wanted/needed anymore? I think a little clean is needed to show potential new members that we have good, well constructed conversations here, and hopefully, it'll have a knock on effect to helping new members signing up. Good new members too.
I shall delete the following topics if members and other moderators/admin's agree:
madness (pleas do not take this one)
yoshi vs boshi
madness
pure mdness
yoshi story for game cube
Reason toward deletion: Spam

To a degree, heh. Just to show new members that we're all nice folk and talk about interesting stuff and all, and that we're tough on spam.
Hopefully, it'll filter all the spammers and immature new members from the good natured and well mannered potential new members. Thats the intended effect anyway.
5 topics as mentioned above have gone under the axe.

You can go ahead and delete those PFY, but I don't think we need a big cleanup or anything, I mean, if we do, we'll be taking a big chunk of history from YC. But as for the 5 stated above, go for it.

i half aggree with joshi. there are many topics in the past though that are useless spam.
i say you should clean them.

I guess this guy came and got banned while I was at camp. I didn't even get to see these topics, but I say go ahead. We don't need to look back at it. Yeah, he was registered and banned in a span of 4 hours. |

Yeah, that's getting in my way in teh RP section, and has no use whatsoever. A good thing about keeping it, though, is an example to all those newbies who don't know what SPAM is.  |

While I do have access to mod controls in the RP section, I restrict myself to what I'm supposed to be moderating, and leave it to that until we have a huge mass-spammer problem.
Can I just suggest what I said a while ago? Why don't we create a read only forum, and stuff topics in there that will no longer have replies/part of the boards history/troublesome? We've done that over at tyfn. We created something called the 'Closed topic cemetary' and all topics that are closed go in there to keep as many active topics on one page as possible. Members can even look up topics of the boards history as and when they please. All guests have access to it too.
Just an idea...

As everyone can see, good ol' teh has sorted out a new forum toward the bottom of the index celled 'Yoshi's filing cabinet'. Topics of particular value can be shoved in there ^^.
As it seems, Yoshiken want's to keep the joey topics, so they can be first to be moved I guess. Does anyone want anything else moving?

It is a great resource of what spamming is, and should be used to show newer members what not to do on the forums.
