So, because some people don't actually read the YCNN, I may as well make a shout out here, just in case you didn't know about this already. Yes, Yoshi's Corner now has their very own webcomic, courtesy of your webcomic guru, myself. The comic started last week on the 26th Feb after being announced that it was going ahead the week before. So now you know, you have no excuse to avoid having a look. =3 Of course, since I do have my own comic series and a job, time to do both comics has dwindled, I mean, mine hasn't been updated in 2 weeks now. This is where I'm asking for extra "staff" to also create and write comics for it. That way there is variation, and so everything isn't reliant on one person to meet its weekly update target (which is currently running on a Tuesday update). I have had interest in people wanting to take part, and I have a confirmed name who is now part of the team, but now here's your chance to say so. If you want to be an artist for the comic, say so, if you just want to come up with a script (aka be an author), then say so, if you want to be both, say so, it'll all be noted down on here, but just know that if you do become one of the above, you need to show that you're contributing to the project. I will notify you of more details when I can think of some, for now, let me know if you wanna sign up to be part of the comic team. Oh, and just fyi, don't sign up if you think this is some way to get popularity, sign up if you think you really are capable of being able to write up a good script or be able to draw a comic, I won't be happy otherwise. Comic Team:Toshi - Site Manager, Artist and Author Damian Yoshi - Artist and Author Shoe - Artist and Author Gem - Artist and Author Yoshee - Artist Strangie - Artist Twi - Author Sanjoyoshi - Author Lazo - Author

Hmm. This would be a great chance to help with my comic drawing. Count me in as both artist and author if you'll have me.
And nice job on the comics, Toshi. I wouldn't expect any less. They made me laugh quite a bit. ;D

OK, this is getting a nice response, I could do with another just to make it even with the numbers.
I'm gonna update you with what you guys need to do if you have ideas. Since I don't have contact with some of you, the best course of action would be to send me your script or comic.
For the Authors; Since we have a fair number of script writers, we may have to limit who writes what each week. You can send me your scripts so I can have a look and discuss it with you to possibly improve or make changes to it, though you don't have to rely on me, there are other authors who maybe willing to help, so drop them a line as well as myself. This will be a group agreement, and if there's more than on script, we'll have to agree on which one we think is best to work on, but other scripts will be kept stored in case we decide to use it (such as, if we have no ideas). Best scripts come first, but we need to give everyone a chance to have their own scripts drawn up, so if you have written a script one week, you get a break thinking of one next week, but you still need to help with improving on someone else's when requested.
For the Artists; When a script has been decided, we will assign the comic to someone to draw it out. I may make it a schedule, but I feel it's best if we discussed it as a group. You can use any art style as long as it is understandable to read. I suggest that if you do a comic via traditional methods (pencils, pens etc), write out the script in each panel before drawing, that way you are not forced to make the writing tiny and hard to read in each panel due to the space. Like with authors, we want everyone to have their art up, so if you had drawn something for one week, you don't have to do the next, but if we're stuck for someone to do it, you may be nudged.
All completed comics are to be sent to me so I can upload them onto the hosting site. The comic, if you missed this from the first post, updates on a Tuesday. What time during the day can vary, but more likely to be afternoon or night GMT. Regardless, if a comic has been uploaded, this topic will be "bumped" to notify members of the update.
I suppose that's all you need to know, any questions? Just drop me a line here or by PM.

I got one. A pretty stupis question, but nevertheless, a question:
Do you need the scripts in theatre format? Such as adding in stage movements and such? Or just dialogue?
Ideas are rooting already. Looking forward to help out! (by-the-by, when do you need the scripts in for?)

You can format it like this:
Panel 1:
*Toshi is sat in a chair in deep thought*
Toshi - (Hrm, I wonder what I should do today..)
Panel 2:
*Toshi is distracted by a doorbell, he looks over to the door*
Toshi - "Hello?"
Quotation marks "" are to be used for speech which has been spoken, while brackets () can be used for thoughts, actions are to be shown in asterisks **. You should label each panel clearly so the artist has an idea of what to draw in which panel.
Also, scripts for comics are preferred to be in asap so the artist can get it drawn in time for the Tuesday update.

**UPDATE**No.3 - Trash Can Sally.Today's comic, we see the beginning of Toshi gaining new staff to help him out with the comic. Our first to be Yoshee followed by the other unfortunate victims, I mean helpers. The main question in this one is, why is Twi hiding in the rubbish bin? I don't know. A sequel? We don't know yet, but it could happen. EDIT: Found out the colour, comic is now finished. Enjoy. Today's comic starred (in order of appearance): Toshi, Yoshee, Gem, Damian Yoshi, Shoe, Sanjo, Strangie and Twi. Lineart by Yoshee, digitally revamped by myself. Script done by Yoshee with slight edits by myself.

**UPDATE**No.4 - Midget Rage. You surely must know that admin, Strangie, is our shortest member (in character height, that is.. or is it?), we all take the mickey out of him for it because we love him so much. Of course, one can't taketh a joketh and hasteth to puncheth our faceths in. If you can't make that out, that's probably for the best. Today's comic starred (in order of appearance): Toshi, Strangie, Twi and Lazo. Art and Script all done today by Shorty, I mean Strangie.

**UPDATE**No.5 - FatsoSo this small, random comic was created to make you giggle today. Lazo was the one who brought forth this spectacular idea, but what he didn't know was, he put the responsibility in my hands, oh dear. I don't have much to say, but that opening panel makes me laugh, because that's so Lazo. Today's comic starred (in order of appearance): Lazo and Moot. Art by myself. Script done by Lazo, with small changes by myself.
