Fire; dangerous, yet beautiful. At some point of your life you must of had some sort of good/bad... probably bad experience with it!
So when I was little I camped a lot. My dad, was indeed, a pyromaniac. He would build huge fires and cool looking ones too because he knew how to place to wood to get a good effect.
His love of fire became mine, and sure enough I had a stick with the tip on fire! So I'm playing around with it, poking bugs and leaves when, oopsies! Rock made me stumble and got a huge burn on my leg. Same thign happend a year later, but because a dog scared me and I guess I moved the stick the wrong way.
I also wanted to find out if you can touch the tip of fire, where it's slightly visible, without burning yourself. Yep. I still got a few deformed fingers because of that.
Now, here is where you think I'm crazy. I used to set fire to things in the sink. I mean, come on, I can turn the water on if things get out of hand! I've burned toys, paper, rubbing alcohol, ect. Until my arm got severly burned. Fun fun fun! I stopped, but afterwords I had a weird candle fixiation.
Now I just stick to burning plastic sporks at parties only. Watching them melt is awesome.

It's awesome to see a pan you're frying burst into flames because it's hot oil or the alcohol is burning off. I always get satisfaction out of that when cooking something. And if you're working with a giant wok and frying up tons of vegetables at once for family meal, those flames can really hit the ceiling.
I also remember turning a Bunsen burner into some kind of confectionery kitchen in my chemistry class in 10th grade. My friends and I would always place sugar in the crucible and turn it into caramel.

Year 9 chemistry me and a friend decided to put some magnesium ribbon in the top of a bunsen burner and shove it down a bit. The next person who used it got a bit of a shock when instead of the usual red colour he got a nice bright light.

Spaying one's hand with Axe body spray and then setting it ablaze makes a pretty color.

Dropping a big block of potassium into water makes a prettier color.
I was a total rebel in chemistry class.

A few days after we graduated Highschool we had a massive bonfire and burned all of our assignments, papers, folders and textbooks.
How glorious.

I have something very embarrassing to say. While I like moving my hand through a flame, I can't bring myself to light a match.
