Thanks. BTW, is this IRC Chat only limited for Yoshi's Corner? And frankly, I can't connect for some reason.... DX

#yc is for YC members - mostly - but you're free to make any channel for anything you want (within reason) on the network. If you're having connection trouble, post your problem in this topic.

But the reason is probably because I am using a Public Library computer, and the Firewalls and everything are in effect. D:

What this place may need is some advertisement? I dunno, it's just a suggestion. But then If you get to many people, the boards overflow with new members and no one is familiar. That's the issue with many boards, they are so big you don't get to know anybody. It loses it's tight community feeling. Sounds like Gaia to me.

Even if there were an influx of newer, younger people we have plenty of members here willing to set a good example. Well, a good example if they don't let ire get in the way of education.

The day YC turns into the likes of Gaia will be the day YC is declared dead.
Seriously, smaller groups are more tightly knit. People know eachother, and actually care for one another, and can joke around with little worry of offending anyone else. It's perfect.

Although I'm still pretty new, one of the reasons why I joined this group was because of how tight of a community this was, and I love being a part of those communities. Course, I haven't had time to chat on #yc and get to know everyone, but I hope I'll be able to now that my work schedule is so much lighter. ;D

Even though Yoshi's Corner could have the potential to be a big Yoshi fan site, it just would not be the same Yoshi's Corner that we all grew to love. Most of us know who each other are, and most of us have made very close friends thanks to here, and unlike most of these big community sites (like Gaia, as said), we have a lot of memories here that any long-serving member can look back on, discuss, or just laugh/cry about. That's what makes us unique.
